In new interview, Emma Stone reminds us about her reality TV past -- VIDEO

Long before Emma Stone wooed us in hits like Superbad, Easy A, and The Amazing Spider-Man, she was competing on reality TV.

Back in 2004, VH1 launched a competitive reality show called In Search of the New Partridge Family. The show was… searching for people to star in a TV series called The New Partridge Family. Stone made it onto the series, where she got to show off her pipes onstage, singing songs like Meredith Brooks’ “Bitch” and Pat Benatar’s “We Belong.”

Emma Stone's Spice Girls press tour needs to stop

Stop right now. Thank you very much.

Right now, Emma Stone is technically promoting The Amazing Spider-Man 2 – and not, as it turns out, a reunion of the U.K.’s best girl group. But this weekend, the star went on The Graham Norton Show, explained her love of the fab five once again, and had a major freak-out when she thought the gals might be in the building (they weren’t).

“I feel like I’ve been talking about the Spice Girls more on this press tour than I have about the movie,” Stone explained. She’s not wrong: She teared up when Mel B recorded a message for her during an interview in Australia, and had another emotional meltdown when Mel C, a.k.a. Sporty Spice, hopped on FaceTime to say hello during another appearance. And that’s not even counting all of the smaller junket interviews in which Stone has once again talked about her lifelong devotion to Sporty, Scary, Baby, Ginger, and Posh. READ FULL STORY

Emma Stone meets Sporty Spice, freaks out, and agrees to try on all of Baby Spice's dresses -- VIDEO

Emma Stone’s Spider-Man press tour is quickly turning into her childhood dream come true: The chance to chat with all of the Spice Girls (and potentially try on their clothes?).

First, Stone teared up when Mel B recorded a message for her during an interview. And in the latest segment of “Could Emma Stone be any cuter?” Stone and Andrew Garfield paid a visit to British Radio Program “Capital Breakfast.” After they both joined the hosts for a rendition of “Stop” — with dance moves! — Stone got a surprise visitor. Direct from her “mum’s” house, Mel C, a.k.a. Sporty Spice, hopped on FaceTime to say hello to her biggest fan!

And things only got better when Mel C brought up Baby Spice and how Stone is welcome to try on all her old dresses. Bonus adorable factor: Garfield’s reaction to all of this.

This Week's Cover: Get ready for 'The Amazing Spider-Man 2'

Prepare for an expansion in the Spider-verse. With The Amazing Spider-Man 2 swinging into theaters on May 2, Sony Pictures takes a big step forward with its amazing Spider-Plan. In this week’s Entertainment Weekly, senior writer Sara Vilkomerson talks with Team Spidey — including director Marc Webb and stars Andrew Garfield, Emma Stone, Jamie Foxx, and Dane DeHaan — about the decision to commit to two more Amazing Spider-Man films, for 2016 and 2018, in addition to two spin-offs focusing on beloved villains Venom and the Sinister Six.

“At the tail end of this movie we set up some of the other characters that will probably end up being in the Sinister Six,” says Sony Pictures co-chairman Amy Pascal. “We’re going forward on all fronts.” (The studio hasn’t yet announced the exact makeup of its big-screen Sinister Six, but comic book fan Garfield says he personally digs Venom, Doc Ock, Vulture, and Kraven.) Emma Stone tears up over the Spice Girls: 'Is Mel B talking to me?!' -- VIDEO

I have officially lost my title as biggest Spice Girls fan ever. But if I had to go down, I’m happy that I lost out to the ridiculously charming Emma Stone.

During an interview about The Amazing Spider-Man 2, Emma Stone was presented with a video that former Spice Girl Mel B recorded for her. Through tears of excitement, Stone began her freakout: “Oh my God. Is Mel B talking to me?!”

In the video, Mel B thanked Stone for being a fan and then asked her to sing a Spice Girls song as her punishment for choosing Baby Spice as her favorite. The “legitimately excited” and downright adorable Stone granted the request by performing Mel B’s rap from the hit song, “Wannabe.”

Watch all the excitement unfold below. Warning: You will fall in love with Stone (for the hundredth time):

'The Amazing Spider-Man 2' trailer: A deep dive

AMAZING-SPIDER-MAN-RHINO.jpg

2014 is the Year of the Superteam. There’s Marvel’s goofball space-squadron Guardians of the Galaxy. There’s an X-Men movie starring two or three or seven different groups of X-Men. Captain America’s on furlough from The Avengers, but in The Winter Soldier he’s hanging out with a B-team of Capsters like Black Widow and Falcon. That makes The Amazing Spider-Man 2 an outlier. The second chapter of Marc Webb’s reboot saga once again focuses on the travails of a teenaged Peter Parker, still dating Emma Stone’s Gwen Stacy and still trying to solve the mystery of his father.

Until now, the movie was generally pitched as a face-off between Spidey and new villain Electro, played by Jamie Foxx. But the new trailer for Amazing 2 features some intriguing hints that the movie may have quite a bit more going on than we thought. For one thing, there might actually be a superteam in this movie — although not all superteams are good superteams. You can watch the full trailer here. Now let’s dive in, shall we? READ FULL STORY

Angelina Jolie tops 'Forbes' list of highest-paid actresses

She might not get paid as much as Iron Man, but there’s no doubt that celestial beauty Angelina Jolie is smiling all the way to the bank. This year, Jolie topped Forbes‘ annual list of the highest-paid actresses in Hollywood with an incredibly robust $33 million. Though her last big-budget feature was the much maligned The Tourist back in 2010, Jolie has spent the past few years developing, writing and directing flicks such as In the Land of Blood and Honey and the upcoming Unbroken, and even found time to film Disney’s Maleficent. You see, Angelina Jolie is so wealthy that she can basically stop acting, develop some very small indie flicks and still make money. READ FULL STORY

'Amazing Spider-Man 2': Gwen Stacy's outfit looks like a major SPOILER

The Amazing Spider-Man 2 is a sequel to a reboot of a franchise based on a five-decade-old comic book. As a result, it can be difficult to talk about major story points in the movie.

Some of us spent our childhoods reading back issues of Spider-Man. Some people spent their childhoods doing other things — playing sports, watching American Gladiators, fencing, just generally doing everything besides reading back issues of Spider-Man. As a result, I feel it’s necessary to preface this post with a SPOILER WARNING, although it’s also mandatory to point out that this is technically a 40-YEAR-OLD SPOILER WARNING. See, if you’re anyone who has any knowledge of Spider-Man lore, this news is just too intriguing to pass up:

'Divergent' fun: Which faction would Angelina Jolie, Jennifer Lawrence and more celebs be placed in?

Divergent superfans, this one is for you. At the beginning of setting up this dystopian adventure, readers learn that all the people living in this world are sorted into five different factions when they come of age. An aptitude test helps place them, but the final decision is theirs (sounds wonderfully familiar, right?). While Beatrice, Caleb and all the rest had a tough decision to make, we got to thinking about where some Hollywood celebs would find themselves if they suddenly woke up in this world. Here are our best guesses for Jennifer Lawrence (Honest!), Lady Gaga (Brave!) and more.

Abnegation (the Selfless)

Angelina Jolie: Sure, she’s got her detractors, but she’s still one of Hollwood’s most famous do-gooders. The actress has traveled to Cambodia, Sierra Leone and many, many other places to speak and help with her main cause: refugees. She’s even a Goodwill Ambassador who has none other than Hillary Clinton as an admirer. READ FULL STORY
