In an episode that saw Donald Trump promoting both his possible presidential run and his line of luxury hotels, another celebrity was given the proverbial boot. Who was sent down Trump Tower for a ride around the block in a waiting car service? My full recap will be up at 2am (UPDATE: Click over to see Dalton’s full Celebrity Apprentice recap), but if you’ve already watched tonight’s episode and want to sound off about who was eliminated and why, then read on for more. Melania Trump talks The Donald's presidential bid, Obama's birth certificate: 'It's not only Donald who wants to see it.'
Melania Trump appeared on The Joy Behar Show Wednesday night to talk about Donald Trump’s supposed bid for the presidency. Behar asked the question that’s on everyone’s mind: Is Trump just seeking publicity (as some NBC execs think), or is he serious about running for president in 2012? According to Trump, it’s the latter: “Look, he doesn’t need the publicity stunt,” she tells Behar. “He’s successful. He will make a decision prior to June. And he’s very passionate about the country … We all know the troubles in American nowadays. And he wants to see everybody doing well. The issue is about bringing jobs back. Bringing jobs to the country. And he’s very passionate about that. And I see that people really like it.” It’s true: Trump is performing astonishingly well in the polls. The Celebrity Apprentice star, however, has been criticized for being part of the “birther” movement, demanding to see President Barack Obama’s birth certificate. Not surprisingly, Melania Trump is also Team Birther. “It’s not only Donald who wants to see it,” she tells Behar. “It’s American people who voted for him and who didn’t vote for him. They want to see that.”

Donald Trump on 'Good Morning America': I'll release tax returns when Obama releases a birth certificate
Things got heated when Donald Trump appeared on Good Morning America today to talk about his much-discussed (but still unconfirmed) potential presidential run. In brief: George Stephanopoulos lobbed the first blow, telling Trump that Republican bigwigs like Karl Rove have called the mogul a “flawed messenger for the party” and “a joke candidate,” especially since he continues to question President Obama’s citizenship. Trump replied by spouting off familiar talking points, claiming that Obama “doesn’t have a birth certificate, or he hasn’t provided it.”
The two men then argued back and forth about that statement. Trump even told Stephanopoulos that the correspondent had been “co-opted” by the President and his “minions” before professing that the birther issue is “not a big focus of my campaign.” Kind of hard to believe, since he brought it up again later in the interview, after Stephanopoulos asked if the maybe-candidate would be releasing his tax returns: “Maybe I’ll do the tax returns when Obama does his birth certificate,” Trump replied. See the interview highlights for yourself below. READ FULL STORY
If you’ve been watching The Celebrity Apprentice this season, then you’ve probably noticed that human trainwreck Gary Busey has become The Donald’s trump card. Busey is clearly inept, as well as inappropriate (hello, Big Wednesday) — in last week’s episode, every member of his team cited the actor as the group’s weakest link. Yet somehow, almost halfway through the season, Busey still hasn’t been kicked out of the boardroom once and for all. The guy just can’t be eliminated; he’s like the Robin Swallows of reality TV.
Ahoy there, matey! Raise ye old Jolly Roger as the scurvy sea dogs of team Backbone be turnin’ into pirates this evening on Celebrity Apprentice. But will their quest for treasure cause one landlubber to take a visit down to Davy Jones’ Locker? Arrrrrrgh, me thinks…uh, me thinks… yeah, sorry, I’m all out of poor man’s pirate lingo. In any event, all you need to know is that the teams were tasked with promoting sunscreen this week, and the men’s team decided to do dressed up at pirates. But did they win or lose? And who was fired? My full recap will be up at 2 a.m. (UPDATE: Click over now to see Dalton’s full Celebrity Apprentice recap), but if you’ve already watched tonight’s Celebrity Apprentice and want to sound off on what happened and who went home, then read on after the jump for more. Maybe Glenn Beck is right. Maybe this is the end of the world. According to a brand new Wall Street Journal/NBC national poll of Republican primary voters, Donald Trump actually has a shot at the GOP nomination for President. Trump tied with Fox News personality and former Arkansas governor Mike Huckabee for second place — they both got 17 percent — with former Massachusetts governor Mitt Romney coming in first, with 21 percent. Former Alaska governor Sarah Palin, host of TLC’s Sarah Palin’s Alaska, placed fifth with 10 percent. READ FULL STORY
And the person fired tonight on Celebrity Apprentice was…. Oh, forget about that! Did you see Meat Loaf have en epic freak out for the ages? I didn’t think it was possible but he actually made the Rivers women (Joan and Melissa) seem positively calm and level headed. His verbal beat down of Gary Busey was so intense — and, ultimately, uncalled for — that it immediately takes its place as one of the finest fights in reality TV history. My full recap will be up at 2am (UPDATE: Click here to read Dalton’s full Celebrity Apprentice recap), but if you’ve already watched and want to sound off about what happened and who was sent packing, then read on after the jump for more. In an episode that saw the teams tasked with creating a unique RV environment, and Gary Busey giving new definitions to pretty much every word in the dictionary, another “celebrity” was fired by The Donald. Last night’s Comedy Central Roast of Donald Trump had its highs (Snoop Dogg) and its lows (The Situation). The Jersey Shore star got in trouble early when a joke about fellow roaster Whitney Cummings received less laughs than Cummings’ pity clap to break the silence. (Never rely on a grenade joke, Sitch, if you think there’s a chance you might bomb.) From there, it got worse, with plenty of shots of the audience cringing (my favorite being Ice-T after the Situation said it’s okay that Trump keeps firing people because he’s completely let himself go anyway). The crowd booed loudest, however, when the Situation started a joke about Trump’s hot wife. “The best part is, she married you for love … Yep, she loves money.” Roast vet Jeffrey Ross had to jump up, tell the audience to let the Situation do his thing, and bare his own belly. Watch the excruciating and definitely NSFW video below. READ FULL STORY
