SPOILER ALERT. Following Monday’s “Plugged/Unplugged” semifinal performances — guest-judged with flair and precision by former pro Maksim Chmerkovskiy — one of Dancing With the Stars‘ top five couples has been eliminated. That couple is…. coming up, after the break! READ FULL STORY

It’s a night of firsts — the first-ever “Plugged/Unplugged” night plus Maksim Chmerkovskiy’s first time as guest judge! Dancing With the Stars‘ most vocal and controversial pro will be tossing out critiques alongside Carrie Ann, Len, and Bruno (how will there be room behind that measly table for so many abs?!) as the five remaining couples dance two different styles. Leah Remini, Henry Byalikov, and Tony Dovolani put their finest Wacky Lady, Old Guy, and Flair Monster impressions to work as they deftly spoofed Dancing With the Stars judges Carrie Ann Inaba, Len Goodman, and Bruno Tonioli in a jive trio on Monday’s Week 9 performance show (read my full recap here).

Six stars remained, and head judge Len Goodman returned, tragically not wearing one of Cher’s discarded costumes from her bleep-inducing stint as guest judge last week. (Did you know Len’s on Twitter as “@GrumpyLGoodman“? I’m a bit disappointed he didn’t go with his vanity license plate, DANCMSTR, instead.)
Guest judge Cher certainly looked and felt at home on television’s most sparkly alternate universe during her intergalactic visit to Monday’s Dancing With the Stars (read our full episode recap here).
The most subdued of the three judges (which is really saying something, namely that Bruno Tonioli and Carrie Ann Inaba are cuckoo), Cher gave out mostly 9s and compliments. But she was extremely amusing throughout the two-hour episode, threatening to “knee” Tonioli if he flailed too hard, upping her game from a demure sequined shift to a ridiculous feathered headdress for her second musical performance (watch it below), and dramatically delaying her score announcements as if conjuring up the paddles from the sleeves of her magical cloak.
At one point, during a critique of Elizabeth Berkley and Val Chmerkovskiy (Spiderweb Bodysuit and Shirtless)’s jazz routine set to her song “Bang Bang,” Cher endured one of the LONGEST BLEEPS EVER RECORDED. Damn that 10-second delay! Try to figure out what she said along with me, and check out some other highlights below. READ FULL STORY
Baby, save up all your tears. You might need them someday...like right now, as another pair has just been ejected from Planet Mirrorballus following Cher’s bleep-heavy guest judge stint on Dancing With the Stars.
The seven remaining couples danced to Cher songs in front of Cher. It’s like the exact definition of #SPARKLEBARF. Look it up. No, no need. It’s on TV. You can preview some of the Cher Night routines here — and hear Brant/Peta, Corbin/Karina, and Jack/Cheryl tell EW all about the hardships of Week 8 — over on Inside TV.

Still unclear on what the fox says or why you should care? Ever wonder what kind of eight-member plushie-based Team Freestyle acid trip would earn a perfect 30 on Dancing With the Stars? The answers to some of life’s least significant questions lie beneath: READ FULL STORY
And we’re liiiiiiiiive! Tonight Our Sparkaliens danced twice — once in pairs and later on Teams apparently called Foxing Awesome and Spooky Bom Bom. (Do hashtags even translate into real words with spaces in between? Len’s head is spinning.) The latter team aimed to finally find out what the fox says — your guess is as good as mine but I’m going with a triumphant “Seh-vehhhhhhhn!” (Read EW’s full ‘DWTS’ recap here.)

Her plastic surgeon may not want her doing any activities where balls fly at her nose, but dancing? That should be okay.
Clueless alum Elisa Donovan has started a campaign to be on the next season of Dancing With the Stars. Donovan — who’s probably still best known as Amber in the 1995 movie — tweeted out a link to a Facebook group, “Help Elisa Donovan get on Dancing With the Stars,” over the weekend, acknowledging she’s game.
The Facebook group, which has over 1,500 Likes so far, explains, “We all loved her as Amber in the pop-culture hit Clueless, and now Elisa Donovan, who is a mom and a blogger for People.com, is ready to compete on Dancing With the Stars. Please LIKE this page to support Elisa getting to get on the next season.”
Is it possible Donovan is jealous of fellow ‘90s alum Elizabeth Berkley, who’s currently rocking season 17 of the show? Whatever! Donovan has some dancing experience as well – just check out this Night at the Roxbury clip, below. If Donovan can move like that with Chris Kattan, just imagine what she could do with an actual dancer. READ FULL STORY
And we’re liiiiiiiiive! The remaining sparklebots danced Monday night — once in pairs and then in something called the Switch Up Dance Challenge, in which two teams of four competed in two rounds…against each other? Maybe the music changed? Perhaps a giant iPod attempted to smother Harold Wheeler once and for all? Your guess is as good as mine.
Update: Full ‘DWTS’ recap is live!
