'Dancing With the Stars': Week 6 is liiiiiive!

Update: Annie’s recap is live.

It’s Country Week! Expect to see a lot of huge hats. Plus: boots, sparkly spurs, denim underwear (a fancy ballroom step up from lowly cutoffs), and the eight remaining couples riding each other like horses. Also: glitter. Always glitter.

Discuss the show here — or on our DWTS live blog — during the live telecast, and nominate your hidden gems in the comments. My recap will be up Tuesday morning. READ FULL STORY

Carrie Ann Inaba falls off chair while judging 'Dancing With the Stars' -- HILARIOUS GIF

I just want to make sure everyone gets to enjoy this in low-quality pixelated form as much as I enjoyed it in high-definition television form. Here’s Dancing With the Stars judge Carrie Ann Inahhhhhh-ber getting struck by a tidal wave of sexual energy (thanks to Gilles Marini and Peta Murgatroyd’s rumba) and falling off her chair during tonight’s performance show:

“LET THE BABY-MAKING BEGIN!” Carrie Ann screamed; then toppled over while saying “That was ridiculous.” OH WAS IT? Not to be outdone, Bruno Tonioli promptly splayed himself face-up on the judges’ table in his usual “Take me. Love me! Devour me.” position.

It was bound to happen! I’m just surprised it took 15 seasons. (And a little bit shocked it wasn’t Bruno instead.) She’s fine, by the way, otherwise I would never have posted this. Yeah right!

I give Carrie Ann’s performance a 10. “Tehhhhhhhhhn!” READ FULL STORY

'Dancing With the Stars': Week 5 is liiiiiiiiive!

Update: Annie’s recap is live.

We’ll see two performance shows and zero eliminations this week on DWTS, thanks to the presidential debates. It’s so weird when two totally different planets spontaneously combust into a universe-wide “timing issue.” The Glitter Galaxy’s finest meteorologists are on the edges of their rhinestone-encrusted seats ready to take notes!  READ FULL STORY

Jimmy Kimmel apologizes to Bristol Palin for Sarah Palin jokes, almost means it -- VIDEO

Bristol Palin and her Dancing With the Stars partner Mark Ballas visited Jimmy Kimmel Live last night after being voted off the reality competition. Kimmel thanked her for being such a good sport and making the obligatory appearance, considering he’s made “one or two” jokes about Sarah Palin over the years.

“I’m here for my apology,” Bristol responded. When she didn’t accept Kimmel’s halfhearted “I’m sorry,” he gave her permission to insult his own mother.

The highlight of the interview, however, was Kimmel’s poetic introduction of Bristol (“Like a majestic wild moose suddenly felled by a rifle’s blast, tonight our next guest’s dream of dance domination fell to earth with a tragic thud”), which was likely a jab at her mother’s use of wildlife metaphors to describe last week’s vice presidential debate. So much for that apology.
