It used to be starlets couldn’t do bridal photo shoots before walking down the aisle for fear of the wedding being called off before the issue hit stands. Now maybe they’ll have to not give cover story interviews about their marriages until at least three months has passed. Kim Kardashian graces Marie Claire‘s December issue and, in an interview conducted a few weeks after her wedding to Kris Humphries, defended their rush to the altar: “We felt like, ‘Why wait?’” she said. “It’s fun to have a partner who understands your life and lets you be you.” She insisted everything was fine between her and Humphries despite tabloids already reporting problems: “I feel like where we’re at right now is the best time in my life,” she said. She proclaimed her faith in their bond: “I’m not worried about him at all,” she said. “We have a lot of trust, and I don’t think either of us would do anything to break that. It makes life so easy. He’s such a good guy; he is so down-to-earth, and it’s such a reality check. He is a normal guy, and I just want to chill out and be normal and not get glammed up all the time. He gets it. Sometimes my life can be really intimidating for people, but he allows me to work and do what I’ve gotta do.” READ FULL STORY »

As our own Adam B. Vary pointed out in advance of Kim Kardashian’s (ultimately doomed) televised wedding fete, there are some things that inevitably go unsaid when it comes to reality stars. As Real Housewives of Atlanta star Kim Zolciak showed off her engagement ring today, it got us thinking: What won’t we hear or see when it comes to Zolciak’s engagement party? READ FULL STORY »
Kelsey Grammer’s sitdown with Piers Morgan aired last night, and, of course, Morgan got him to open up about his very public divorce with his third wife, Camille. Did she marry Grammer because he was a TV star, he asked? “I think she married me because I was Frasier,” Grammer laughed. “I think it was Frasier. You know, he had this great wonderful life … he was stylish … and fabulous, you know, just a little gay … and he was famous. Kelsey Grammer was a different story. You got home and Kelsey Grammer was somebody different.” Asked which of Camille’s comments have hurt him most, Grammer thought of two. ”She once said that I didn’t want my daughter… that pissed me off,” he offered first. (Morgan put that into context as only he could: “You’ve been a fairly hopeless husband from time to time with the various wives, and then some of them have been pretty useless wives, but you’ve throughout been a very contentious, loving father, so that kind of thing must really hurt you.”) The statement that stung both him and his fourth wife, Kayte Walsh, even more was “that thing about the child we lost … something about it being karma … it’s just disgusting,” Grammer said. If you’re not planning on watching the TWO-NIGHT Kim Kardashian wedding special (All Right Reserved, E! Television Productions) that begins this Sunday, at least watch Kardashian renew her vows with husband of five weeks Kris Humphries on today’s Ellen DeGeneres Show. The vows DeGeneres wrote are hilarious, and, if you’re someone who’s never bothered to listen to Humphries speak, you might be surprised to find him charming and sweet. (He actually seemed moved hearing Kim start to say her fake vows — it’s like he’s actually in love!). Also, it’s fun to diagnose Kim’s short-term memory problem. READ FULL STORY »
