Fanfic writers, your dreams are coming true: Magneto is marrying Professor X.

Okay, not exactly. But the actors who play the iconic X-Men characters do have some wedding plans lined up: Sir Ian McKellen will officiate at the upcoming wedding of Sir Patrick Stewart and his fiancée, 35-year-old jazz singer Sunny Ozell.

When the topic of X-Men: Days of Future Past came up during McKellen’s appearance on U.K. program The Jonathan Ross Show this weekend, the English actor announced, “I’m going to marry Patrick,” provoking some fits of laughter from the audience before he clarified, “How else do you put that? I’m going to officiate at his wedding.” READ FULL STORY »

Prepare thyselves: A Brangelina wedding is 'nigh,' says Brad Pitt

Soothsaying powers and scraggly wizard hair must be a packaged deal. At last night’s Killing Them Softly premiere, Brad Pitt revealed to People that his wedding to Angelina Jolie is on the horizon: “The time is nigh. It’s soon. I got a good feeling about it,” he prophesized, gazing off at a future that only he could see. In the distance, a raven crowed.

Really, though, Pitt says that the couple’s international brood — a cookie to anyone who can name all six Brangelina spawn without Googling! — are the main reason that the wedding is imminent. “I am getting more pressure from my kids, and it is something I want to do within their lifetime,” he said at the premiere. “We’ve had a family, we’ve raised the kids. I am surprised how much [marriage] meant to me once you had that.” Clearly, Molly and Arthur Weasley will be Brangelina’s marriage role models.

Justin Timberlake serenades Jessica Biel at wedding reception -- What song would you want to hear?

Sorry gals, it looks like love. While performing at his wedding reception, Justin Timberlake reportedly debuted a new song for his ladylove, Jessica Biel.

Us Weekly reported the news, and if true, this means that the man whose music career has been on hold since 2006 actually took the time to pen some lyrics for his betrothed. If that’s not love, I don’t know what is.

Since the ceremony consisted of an intimate gathering of friends and family, I doubt there’s any shaky camera footage of the performance out there. (Not that we didn’t try combing YouTube.) There’s no word on whether Timberlake will release the new tune, but in the meantime, let’s debate which Timberlake song we would have wanted him to sing to us? READ FULL STORY »

Jennifer Aniston gets 'verklempt' while talking engagement on 'Chelsea Lately' -- VIDEO

Jennifer Aniston will always be America’s sweetheart. Just look at the way her face scrunches up in glee when Chelsea Handler asks her about her engagement to Justin Theroux — it’s downright adorable. And how many 43-year-old women can legitimately claim to be adorable? When she gets teary, you just want to give her a hug, then invite her over to watch season 3 of Friends with you. Even tart-tongued Handler broke character to celebrate her pal last night: “He’s the greatest guy ever, and you guys make the greatest couple ever, and I’m so happy for you too.” So are we! Hooray! Let’s get yogurt!!

Of course, the host did also call Jen out for tending to wear shirts that show off her nipples… so maybe the praise party only goes so far. Check out both moments in the videos below. And for the record — yeah, you can kinda see some headlights in the second clip.

Mark McGrath marries longtime girlfriend

Sugar Ray lead singer Mark McGrath and longtime girlfriend Carin Kingsland got married Monday in Southern California, People reports. The pair got engaged on New Year’s Eve 2009; McGrath proposed at the L.A. club the Viper Room — the spot where they met in 1994.

“After 18 years of breakups, makeups, beautiful twins and an unwavering love that provided some pretty damn good song lyrics, we are happy to announce that we are finally married!” the rocker, 44, and his bride, 39, told People. Their 2-year-old son Lydon and daughter Hartley served as the ring bearer and flower girl.

The former Celebrity Apprentice contestant and Don’t Forget the Lyrics! game show host will embark on a South American tour with Sugar Ray in October.

'Modern Family' creator invites Ann Romney to officiate Mitch and Cam's wedding -- once it's legal

Could next season of Modern Family feature television’s first dressage-themed gay wedding?

First Lady nominee Ann Romney recently told Entertainment Tonight that Modern Family is her favorite TV show. ModFam co-creator Steve Levitan got wind of Romney’s praise and posted a reaction on his Twitter page yesterday: “Thrilled Ann Romney says ModFam is her favorite show. We’ll offer her the role of officiant at Mitch & Cam’s wedding. As soon as it’s legal.”

Sounds perfect! I can see it now: The grooms take turns riding elaborately dressed stallions down a rose petal-strewn aisle. At the end of it, Ann Romney waits, proudly posed atop Rafalca. Before the “I do”s, Luke accidentally sets Claire’s hair on fire and Hayley and Dylan are caught making out in a tucked-away vestibule. Gloria yells. Lily stares. Manny folds his handkerchief into a perfect pocket square. Alex rolls her eyes.

There’s just one problem here: Like her husband Mitt, Romney doesn’t believe in marriage equality.  READ FULL STORY »

It's Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries' first anniversary! What would you give the couple?

kim-kardashian-wedding

What a difference a year makes. 365 days ago, Kimberly Noel Kardashian and Kris Humphries vowed to like, love and cherish each other forever in front of 440 adoring guests — and a whole lot of video cameras. A few months later, K Squared renewed their vows on Ellen; days after that, the couple’s four-hour wedding special finally aired on E! over the course of two nights. But on Halloween, Kardashifans and romantics the world over were shocked – shocked — when Kim laid down a bombshell: She was filing for divorce. The course of televised true love never did run smooth.

Ever since Kardashian and Humphries said their “I do”s — and especially since she said “I won’t anymore” — their marriage and its dissolution have been mercilessly picked apart by media outlets. (Including, um, this one.) As with any breakup, only a new relationship could encourage forward momentum; as soon as Kanye West revealed via rap this spring that he had fallen “in love with Kim,” memories of KHump immediately faded.

The weird thing is, though, that Kim and Kris are technically still married. Extended legal bickering means that the ex-couple most likely will not be granted a divorce or an annulment before 2013 — meaning that today is, in fact, their first wedding anniversary. Ain’t love (and the court system) grand? READ FULL STORY »

Bella's 'Breaking Dawn' wedding dress and Pippa's bridesmaids dress go on sale, just in time for your Royal vampire wedding.

You know, if you think about it, the Kim Kardashian wedding and the Breaking Dawn wedding really aren’t all that different. They were both over-hyped spectacles with wildly inappropriate partnerships in which the groom could technically be considered dead and at some point a werewolf showed up. (Just kidding, Jacob shows up to the reception in human form!) Of course, Bella and Edward’s married life (seen here, looking downright elated to be on their honeymoon together) lasted just a little bit longer than Kim and Kris Humphries’ (eternity > 72 days), and brides still want to wear Mrs. Cullen’s dress. (Sorry Kim, no one wants to take their chances on a cursed dress. Also, it was cuckoo.)

Lucky for them, designer Carolina Herrera, who made the elegant, understated dress worn by Kristen Stewart in Breaking Dawn — Part 1, will be selling the gowns at her CHNY boutiques starting next year, according to Reuters. While there’s no price set for the detailed lace and satin original, for those who simply cannot wait to marry their vampire husbands, Alfredo Angelo has made a replica that’s going for $799. (See below.) READ FULL STORY »
