With Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert’s weekend wedding now in the books — Shelton returned to Twitter Monday afternoon with the message, “Hey y’all I’m back!!!!! Without my sack!!!!,” and “Mrs Shelton” became a trending topic after Lambert tweeted, “Mrs Shelton here! Winning!!!!!” – LIFE.com is celebrating country music’s best couples with a 50-slide photo album. It starts with Roy Rogers and Dale Evans (pause to appreciate their color coordination on their wedding day), naturally includes the eternal Johnny Cash and June Carter and the tumultuous George Jones and Tammy Wynette, and in addition to Blake and Miranda, involves the likes of Tim and Faith and Garth and Trisha (along with Keith and Nicole and Brad and Kimberly, which could be reaching, but both actresses serve as muses, so we’ll let it slide).  READ FULL STORY »

'Cougar Town': Love is a battlefield

In last night’s episode of “We Pretend… Cougar Town…Is Called Wine Time,” I was surprised by the lack of grape being pounded by our favorite cul-de-sac crew. I think a little time with Big Carl (RIP Joe) and even Little Richard would have done the group some good and maybe even helped with their familial problems.  READ FULL STORY »

Taiwanese animators posit why Arnold Schwarzenegger and Maria Shriver really split: 'Was it groping?'

Though it’s been a few days since Arnold Schwarzenegger and Maria Shriver announced that they’re separating, the world still doesn’t really know why the two have split. Thankfully, Taiwan’s most intrepid animated news service is on the case. NMA’s latest minute-long absurdist masterpiece shows the Governator chucking a cat at his estranged wife’s head, then smoking a joint before being joined by two nubile, naked young Sim ladies. Also, according to the video, the glowing green ghosts of JFK and Bobby Kennedy attended the couple’s wedding in 1986. Oh, and Sim Ahhnold has a porn ‘stache for some reason. And the narrator keeps calling him “Arnie!” And… well, nothing I write can truly do this incredible clip justice, so do yourself a favor and check it out below.

How do you think this ranks against NMA’s greatest hits, like Charlie Sheen’s Winningest Moments and the Tiger Woods clip that started it all? READ FULL STORY »

Jesse James on 'Good Morning America': 'I can't worry about Sandra Bullock anymore.'

Promoting his new book, American Outlaw, Sandra Bullock’s ex-husband Jesse James was on Good Morning America this morning, in clips from a taped interview with Vicki Mabrey that will air tonight on Nightline. Though he’s hard on himself, he also admits that “I can’t worry about [Bullock] anymore. I think I’ve spent a good chunk of the last five or six years worrying only about her and what she thinks and what I should do and, like, you know, controlling all my movements and everything else. I think it’s time to worry about Jesse and making sure Jesse’s happy.”

James was crucified publicly for cheating on his famous wife, right after she’d won the Oscar for The Blind Side, so it will be interesting to see how people will react to his now saying that his devotion to his ex “controlled [his] movements and everything else” while he was simultaneously undermining their marriage. Royal Wedding poll: Prince Harry is the U.K.'s most eligible bachelor. So would you watch him on 'The Bachelor'?

You know what? Enough about William. Sure, he’s the Windsor who will be taken off the market this Friday — but that’s precisely why we should all start shifting our focus to his brother, ginger-haired, ruddy-cheeked Prince Harry. Though rumors have been circulating that Diana and Charles’s younger son is planning to bring his on-again, off-again girlfriend Chelsy Davy to William and Kate’s wedding, Prince Harry hasn’t been seriously linked to a permanent ladyfriend in quite some time; he and Davy officially split in 2009. That makes “the spare” the U.K.’s most eligible bachelor. And we all know the best way for an eligible bachelor to ideally find his soulmate: The Bachelor!

So let’s engage in a silly thought experiment, PopWatchers. If Chris Harrison could somehow convince Harry to step into Brad Womack’s carefully polished shoes, would you be there to watch what happened? Or does the idea of a royal appearing regularly on a reality show somehow not sit well with you? Vote in our poll and let us know. READ FULL STORY »

Royal Wedding poll: Which plot point from Lifetime's 'William & Kate' do you most wish was true?

William-Kate-movie

It happened: Just six days ahead of Friday’s Royal Wedding, I found myself flipping channels Saturday night at my parents’ house, landing on Lifetime’s William & Kate right as Kate Middleton fled Prince William’s 21st birthday party. (He had invited another young woman up to help him blow out the candles.) “I’m the girl he hangs out with, not the one he brings home,” Kate said to her trailing friends, echoing the snooty mean girl who’d just assured her that William wouldn’t have time to socialize with his flatmate (who he was secretly sleeping with) at this public event. And with that, I was sucked in — not only to the rest of the movie but also to the repeat so I could see what I’d missed. You can watch William & Kate, “inspired by true events,” online now. SPOILER ALERT! The most ridiculous plot points make our poll below.  READ FULL STORY »

Pia Toscano isn't dating Mark Ballas (wink) and we totally believe her (wink, wink)

Ah, the old “we’re just friends” song-and-dance routine. Only this time it’s with people who do actual song and dance routines. It’s so literal!

Recently booted American Idol contestant Pia Toscano stopped by The Ellen DeGeneres Show (the episode airs today on NBC, check local listings) to continue her “Maybe someone will please explain to me how the hell I got kicked off?!” tour, to which host and fellow former short-lived Idol resident Ellen DeGeneres had no answers, only sympathy: “You have the most beautiful voice … I hope everybody is looking at this going, ‘We got to vote for people,’ because I think that people thought you had it made.”

But, there was a far more pressing matter at hand: Is Pia dating Dancing with the Stars‘ dancing star Mark Ballas? READ FULL STORY »

Eva Longoria talks split from Tony Parker for first time: 'It was disappointing because I had such an identity in being Mrs. Parker.'

Say what you will about Piers Morgan — that he’s rude, that he’s a camera-hungry reality star, that he’s British — the man certainly doesn’t softball his interview subjects. Especially considering he’s filled the kindly Larry King’s cushy shoes, it’s hard not to be taken aback hearing the Piers Morgan Tonight host ask this of Eva Longoria concerning her quite public divorce: “Do you feel humiliated?” Speaking about her split from NBA player Tony Parker for the first time on Thursday’s show, Longoria responded: “A bit. Yeah. Mostly … because it had to play out so publicly. He’s not a bad person. He just wanted something else. And I don’t hate him for it. I really don’t.”

Morgan introduced the topic by asking Longoria, “What was it like for you when it all exploded?” Which lead the Desperate Housewives star to shed a few tears discussing the divorce. (She wouldn’t, however, discuss why exactly she split from Parker after nearly four years of marriage.) “It was heartbreaking,” she said. “It was disappointing because I had such an identity in being Mrs. Parker, and being a wife. And so when that’s taken away from you, you go, ‘Who am I?’ And that was hard.” Watch the interview below:  READ FULL STORY »

Ellen DeGeneres calls out Selena Gomez on Justin Bieber fib: You 'made me a fool'

There couldn’t be more adorableness in this clip with Selena Gomez and Ellen DeGeneres if there were a dozen white, fluffy puppies making soft snoring noises on the floor in front of them.

It all starts with Ellen showing a clip from Gomez’s last appearance on the Ellen DeGeneres Show, where the pop tart diffused rumors that she was dating Justin Bieber by saying, “He’s little. He’s like my little brother.” Cut to present and a joking accusatory glance from DeGeneres. That’s about where we start building to Defcon 1 on the cuteness scale. READ FULL STORY »

Liam Neeson on Natasha Richardson's death: 'It hits you in the middle of the night'

Natasha-RichardsonImage Credit: Randy Runner/WireImage.com Almost two years since the unexpected death of Natasha Richardson at age 45, after a tragic, seemingly benign skiing accident, Liam Neeson has opened up at length about his wife’s death in a candid interview appearing in the March issue of Esquire magazine.

At first, Neeson tells author Tom Chiarella he’s “too vulnerable” to talk about Richardson’s death. But a short time later, he does open up about it — in emotional detail. Neeson recounts those first moments after arriving at the Montreal hospital where Richardson was taken, and how he actually had to search to find a member of the hospital staff  who recognized him and let him in to see his wife: “This one, she says, ‘Go in that back door there.’ She points me to it. ‘Make a left. She’s in a room there.’ So I get there, just in time. And all these young doctors, who look all of eighteen years of age, they tell me the worst.” READ FULL STORY »
