Taye Diggs knows you're bummed about his divorce from Idina Menzel

It’s always hard when your favorite celebrity couple breaks up (and you’re forced to declare on Tumblr that love no longer exists). Luckily, Taye Diggs understands.

In an interview with Redbook magazine, Diggs opened up about the end of his 10-year marriage to Idina Menzel, one which inspired theater fans everywhere to believe that some people really can have it all (including cute YouTube videos). “I’d be lying if I said there weren’t times when I thought, Oh, man, people are going to trip out [if we split],” Diggs told Redbook. The two separated last December.

Oddsmaker gives likelihood of Kimye divorce as compared to other Hollywood couples

Kim Kardashian and Kanye West are officially a married couple, which means that the next question people are asking is: How long will it last? Sure, it’s a depressing thought, but it’s one that can be backed up by many a Hollywood couple tying the knot only to decide to end things 72 days later. OK, maybe that was just one couple, but still.

That being said, it’s not really a question we can answer, which is why we reached out to Kevin Bradley, Sportsbook Manager of Bovada.lv, who gave us some official odds on the situation. And for comparison, we also asked him about some of Hollywood’s other big couples.

Chris Pratt is an ace French braider, does not know how to spell 'braid' -- PHOTO

Eh, you win some, you lose some.

The following photo pictures actress Anna Faris — or at least, the back of Anna Faris’ head — sporting a flawless, Elsa-esque French braid. And according to the caption — written by none other than Parks and Rec star Chris Pratt, also known as Faris’ husband — the complicated hairdo was his own handiwork. Which is maybe slightly less impressive than Pratt plaiting his own hair, but still plenty impressive all the same.

Not quite as impressive: The (clearly joking) hashtags that follow Pratt’s brag about his “glorious french braid.” A sampler: “#ManBraid #RealMenBraid #isItBrade? #SpellingQuestion.” Followed, naturally, by these: “#WhyIsItFrench??? #ICallItAFreedomBraid #GoUsa.”

And suddenly, we begin to understand why Andy Dwyer is the way he is. READ FULL STORY

'Vampire Diaries' actress Candice Accola stars in The Fray's 'Love Don't Die' video, kisses fiance Joe King -- VIDEO

THE-FRAY-ACCOLA.jpg

If John Legend’s “All of Me” music video proved anything, it’s that having a significant other in the business is both incredibly convenient and incredibly amazing. Suddenly, music videos become much easier to cast, not to mention the fact that fans eat it up when real-life couples get all romantic on screen.

And speaking of eating something up, I’m a little obsessed with Candice Accola’s appearance in The Fray’s “Love Don’t Die” music video. As much as I love the Vampire Diaries actress on her own, the fact that she is engaged to The Fray’s guitarist, Joe King, only sweetens the deal.

The video places the band in a biker bar, singing from behind a fence for their protection. But when a man is less-than-nice to Ms. Accola, her real-life fiance comes to the rescue and starts quite the bar brawl. She then does what any woman would do: She kisses the heck out of him. The moment is equal amounts fun and voyeuristic.

Kim Kardashian and Kanye West are engaged

Screen Shot 2013-10-22 at 1.19.19 AM

Kanye West, 36, proposed to Kim Kardashian on Monday, October 21, her 33rd birthday. He did it in front of their family and friends after renting out AT&T Park in San Francisco — a park which may now be ruined for many, many people. It’s too soon to say how many, but it’s safe to say AT&T Park is not amused. “I never asked for this,” a blade of its grass told EW exclusively.

Kim said yes! There may have even been a video camera or 600 around. Expect more footage of this moment than you could possibly imagine, coming up on E! tonight, all week, and for the rest of your life.

E! — which in the case of the Kardashians is like a flesh-eating bacteria on a hand that keeps regenerating itself, and I mean that with the utmost respect (#Halloween) — announced the news at 1:13 a.m. ET. I can’t believe they got the exclusive! Do you think they pulled some strings?

The press release/article is a trip, if you’re up for it. And apparently I am!

Roseanne Barr and Tom Arnold's drawn-out Twitter spat: Here's how it went down

Ah, social media — how did we ever stalk our exes without it?

Of course, checking in on a former love carries big risks — as Roseanne Barr discovered a few days ago, when someone informed her that her ex-husband Tom Arnold had recently tweeted about getting rid of some old wedding videos.

Though Barr and Arnold divorced nearly 20 years ago — and both have been married at least once since — there still seem to be some raw feelings between them. So when Barr responded to Arnold’s message with a tart tweet of her own, he replied in kind, leading to a drawn-out sparring match filled with spiteful accusations (“You sold my grandmother’s sewing machine”), dismissive condescension (“Yes mother dear”), and outright hostile insults (“For christ sakes. I remember when you used to be a comedian”).

Don’t worry, though — it all ends on a positive note, with Roseanne congratulating Tom on the recent birth of his son Jax, and even doing the kid’s star charts, or something. Good; to paraphrase comedian Morgan Murphy, I hate it when Mom and Dad fight.

Katy Perry says Russell Brand asked for a divorce via text message

One he sent her on New Year’s Eve, no less! This sort of thing is why the “That Was Way Harsh, Tai” tag was created.

In a revealing cover interview for Vogue‘s July issue, the 28-year-old singer discusses her career and her relationship history — paying special attention to her brief marriage to comedian and cable news scourge Russell Brand. “He’s a very smart man, and I was in love with him when I married him,” Perry says of her ex, whom she met in the summer of 2009 and married in the fall of 2010.

“Let’s just say I haven’t heard from him since he texted me saying he was divorcing me December 31, 2011,” she continues — one day after he formally filed for divorce. The couple’s split was finalized in July 2012.

According to Snoop Lion, Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth are over -- VIDEO

The gods of love giveth (maybe), and the gods of love taketh away (also maybe).

Just when we were finally recovering from the news of Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez’s potential reunion, Snoop Lion has rocked our worlds by insinuating that professional twerker Miley Cyrus and her fiance Liam Hemsworth are officially kaput.

The name-changing rapper recently collaborated with Cyrus on “Ashtrays and Heartbreaks,” a single Snoop says is about “change, turnaround, and you know, just going through things.” What kind of things, specifically? “I can’t speak for her, you know what I’m saying, but I know that she has a relationship that no longer exists,” he told HuffPost Live yesterday. “I know she’s probably in a transformation change with her life, her music [and] her career.”

Selena Gomez burns Justin Bieber on 'Letterman' -- VIDEO

In case those dueling versions of “Cry Me a River” just weren’t getting the point across, Selena Gomez wants to make it clear that she and Justin Bieber are well and truly over. And while her ex’s behavior over the past few months has been, er, erratic, to say the least, Gomez seems to be thriving post-breakup: “I’m so good,” she told David Letterman last night, giggling like a schoolgirl who can’t believe she used to date a dude who seriously owns this hat.

And that wasn’t the end of the conversation. Letterman casually mentioned that the last time Bieber visited the Late Show, the host made his guest cry — though to be fair, Bieber deserved it for thinking the Apostolic Palace’s most famous place of worship is called the “Sixteenth Chapel.” Gomez’s lightning-quick response? “Well then, that makes two of us.” Ohhh snap, or whatever the kids are saying these days!

Ryan Gosling joins long line of directors who have cast their wives and girlfriends in movies

Earlier this month, Ryan Gosling cast girlfriend Eva Mendes in his directorial debut, How to Catch a Monster. With production on the fantasy film set to begin this May, Gosling is a few months away from the joys and challenges of directing a significant other.

But Gosling is hardly the first director to cast his sweetheart in his own movie. Woody Allen is famous for dating (and sometimes marrying) many of his leading ladies, and Paul Newman also directed wife Joanne Woodward in multiple films.

Here’s a round-up of other men who have directed their actress significant others — some of whom are still going strong, while others’ relationships are in the rear-view mirror.

Paul W.S. Anderson and Milla Jovovich
This couple met while working on 2002′s Resident Evil. Since they began dating in 2003 (with a wedding following in 2009), Anderson and Jovovich have made four more films in the lucrative zombie franchise. The British director also cast his wife in his 2011 adaptation of The Three Musketeers.
Anderson on directing Jovovich: “I always call her the hardest working person in show business. I’ve never met an actor as dedicated as she is. She’s like the Terminator, relentless. It can be 2 a.m. in the morning, and she suggests we talk about some aspect of the film. How about we don’t, Milla? But we both just love making movies.” [Huffington Post]
Jovovich on working with Anderson: “I tell Paul every day, he spoils me. It is such a pleasure. We have our family together. We do these fun movies together. What am I going to do when I have to go work with somebody else?” [Huffington Post]
Are they still together? Yep. And they’re planning to continue their working relationship too — both are expected to return for a sixth Resident Evil installment. READ FULL STORY
