'Parks and Recreation' and babies: What will happen to the show?

[SPOILERS AHEAD if you haven't watched the latest episode of Parks and Recreation!]

The news is out: Ben and Leslie are having triplets! In real life, this would be cause for congratulations (and a hearty “good luck”), but this is TV, so of course this is the perfect opportunity to think about what will come of this¬†revelation.

But first of all, why triplets?¬†“It was sort of like, well, Leslie is famously sort of an overachiever, and having her body overachieve in terms of starting her family just seemed like a very logical thing to have happen,” showrunner Mike Schur said in a conference call Friday. “Twins was sorta like okay, that’s one level of overachievement, but triplets, that’s a winner.” READ FULL STORY

'Parks and Rec': The rotating bachelor party

Ben and Leslie’s storybook wedding is fast approaching, but you know what comes first, right? The bachelor party! Ben’s not really the Vegas type, so there weren’t any Hangover-esque shenanigans; instead, the boys stayed in for a night of beer and board games (Settlers of Catan, to be precise). At least, that’s how the night started out. Tom insisted they up the ante with a few drinks at Essence — Things Magazine‘s “Next Big Thing” — where they each revealed that none of them had experienced a real bachelor party. Here’s why:

'Parks and Rec': The 5 best moments from 'Ben's Parents'

Last week’s episode of Parks and Recreation, in which Ben finally proposed to Leslie, set the bar pretty high — some might say impossibly high — so last night the writers stepped up and let loose with some top-shelf material. We met Ben’s sparring, divorced, insufferable parents (played by Glenne Headly and Jonathan Banks) and watched Chris have a total, happy-sad mental breakdown (“It’s like a perfect storm of emotions!”). The team even brought back the scene-stealer (and arguably the show’s most consistently funny character) Jean-Ralphio, Tom’s flamboyant cad of a business partner.
