'Castle' react: Last night's episode might have featured my new favorite Casket moment ever!

I make no secret of my love for Castle and Beckett — as individuals and, most of all, together. And while the past three seasons have had more than enough wonderfully ‘shippy moments to last a lifetime, last night’s episode featured a great one that will go down as one of my favorites.

The episode centered around a bank robbery — not usually the kind of case a gang of homicide detectives would get involved in. But this time, Castle and his mother (Susan Sullivan) found themselves smack in the middle of the action as hostages.

Castle, naturally, played hero in the situation and helped gather pieces of the puzzle while in captivity with the rest and communicated them to Beckett, who also acted as hostage negotiator. But things took a dark turn when one person reported seeing explosives in the bags with the robbers. That’s when the situation turned ugly. READ FULL STORY

The Muppets go to the mat on WWE's 'Raw'

I must have eaten too much Halloween candy last night, because I had this disturbing dream that my beloved Muppets were on WWE’s Monday Night Raw. Jack Swagger was threatening to turn Piggy into a ham sandwich, Gonzo’s arms got stretched out of their sockets, and Cody Rhodes put a bag over Kermit’s head. “It was bad enough that Hugh Jackman took over our show,” sneered Vickie Guerrero. “Now we have to share out airtime with a bunch of livestock?”

Wait, what? It really happened? Watch below: READ FULL STORY

Top 5 signs your Ryan Gosling crush is getting out of control

Ryan Gosling is perfect.

There’s no room for debate on that. Disagree? I’m sorry, you’re just wrong. Did you even see the Dirty Dancing scene with Emma Stone in Crazy, Stupid, Love.? Were you born without a pulse? He won our collective hearts in The Notebook, challenged our way of thinking (I loved Lars and the Real Girl, Ryan! I get you!), and officially hit A-list status this year with Love, Drive, and Ides of March.

And that’s just onscreen; his off-screen antics — hey girl! — are certainly not helping my borderline-stalking behavior. (Story of my life… ) So I get it. I’m right there with you, PopWatchers. But to not be ostracized by your friends — and not to mention to avoid police interest — here is my handy guide outlining warning signs that your Ryan Gosling love may be out of control.*  READ FULL STORY

Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon let Barbara Walters ogle their babies on '20/20'

Though they’ve been married for over three years now, it’s still a little bit difficult to believe that Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon are an actual couple. Perhaps it was the lack of public courtship or the sudden nature of their wedding, but there’s still a moment of, “Oh right, they’re married” every time they’re brought up.

On top of that, they’ve procreated! In fact, twins Morocco and Monroe (who are nicknamed, no joke, “Rock” and “Roe”) made their television debut last night on ABC’s 20/20. Barbara Walters sat the couple down and tilted her head just so for a gauzy chat that touched on Carey’s extremely difficult pregnancy (a high-risk one that featured a number of false labors and the development of gestational diabetes), what the babies heard while they were in utero (Carey described a special device that she wrapped around her abdomen so her twin fetuses could hear Stevie Wonder songs and “Hero”). 'Parenthood': Welcome to the Bravermans, Nora!

I was starting to worry about Parenthood, PopWatchers. The first few episodes of the third season of NBC’s typically underrated dramedy felt lackluster out of the gate. Besides the wonderful, long-overdue romantic reunion of Sarah and Mark (Jason Ritter), the remaining Bravermans and Co. didn’t have as much to work with: Haddie’s split from Alex (Michael B. Jordan), while sad, was inevitable, Zeke almost starred in a impotence commercial, scarring us indefinitely, and they finally gave poor Drew…a bad first date. (Quick thought, PopWatchers: What if one day Drew has a son named Steve? Steve Holt! Ah, the Arrested Development circle of life.) And, lest we forget, Amber’s new hairstyle. Shudder.

Alas, I shall worry no more. Not only was this week’s Parenthood the best so far this season, I’d argue it was one of the best of the series. The perfect blend of heart and humor that got so many of us invested in the first place shone through in the latest episode titled, “Nora.” Even though Drew was, once again, nowhere to be found. Poor, poor Drew. READ FULL STORY

Walt Disney World Turns 40: A tribute from a life-long fan and a 40-year cast member

This month, the Happiest Place on Earth hits middle age.

Forty years ago, Walt Disney World opened in a tiny Florida town called Bay Lake, about 20 minutes outside Orlando, a place that was just a smattering of orange groves in the middle of nowhere.

Walt Disney had already revolutionized in-person, multimedia entertainment in 1955 with Disneyland in Anaheim, Calif., but the space limitations of the park had hobbled his original vision. Not to mention that it still relied upon some old-fashioned assumptions about amusement parks: the park should be open only five days a week; it should be primarily oriented towards kids; and it’s a one-day experience — you show up in the morning and leave at night.

Uncle Walt’s “Florida Project” was going to change all that with a completely immersive environment: READ FULL STORY

Sugar, spice and 'Real Steel': Why robots should be for girls (and moms) too.

I’m not sure when exactly my 2-year-old daughter fell in love with robots. Maybe it was one of the thousand times when her dad has said, “Hey little girl, check out this cool robot! Don’t you love them?”

Traditional gender roles tell us, of course, that little girls like princesses and little boys are the ones who like robots, but I don’t see why that has to be so. READ FULL STORY

'Modern Family': Has Toddler Lily won your heart yet?

Now that the new season of Modern Family is well underway, it’s time we took a moment to discuss the show’s newest addition: Toddler Lily (a.k.a Aubrey Anderson-Emmons).

Show creators Steve Levitan and Christopher Lloyd have wisely refrained from shining too bright a spotlight on the newest member of the Pritchett clan — possibly because she inexplicably aged two years during the summer hiatus, but who cares when the show is this good. In last night’s episode, she showed up only briefly to ask Daddy Mitchell (Jesse Tyler Ferguson) for some raisins, forcing him to confront the dirty kitchen left by Daddy Cam (Eric Stonestreet).

We got our best look at Lily 2.0 in episode 2, where her hostile attitude towards a new baby drove the Cam/Mitchell plotline. READ FULL STORY
