Miley Cyrus made a seductive guest appearance on tonight’s episode of Two and a Half Men. While the story line centered around her character’s young age, the episode ultimately showcased how far the actress has come since her Disney days. Sporting a bikini and beach blonde pixie cut, it was clear that the 19-year-old is more of a fox now than a mouse. READ FULL STORY

Ashton Kutcher owes Charlie Sheen big time. Since replacing Sheen on Two and a Half Men, Kutcher has rocketed to the No. 1 spot on Forbes’ list of highest paid TV actors. The business magazine unveiled the list on Wednesday, following the July announcement of TV’s highest paid actresses.
Between May 2011 and May 2012, Ashton Kutcher earned $24 million, Forbes estimates. Last year, Sheen was in the top spot with $40 million, but this year he didn’t even make the list. Kutcher’s earnings are also boosted by his appearances in Nikon camera commercials and his continued investments in Silicon Valley. He got in early on Skype, Spotify and Airbnb.
Kutcher’s Two and a Half Men co-star Jon Cryer also made Forbes’ top 10, moving down from spot No. 4 to No. 7 but earning $2 million more than he did from May 2010 to May 2011.
Others who made the list for a second consecutive year are Ray Romano, Mark Harmon, Patrick Dempsey and Hugh Laurie. Check out the full list below: READ FULL STORY
Last fall, America’s hearts and minds were captured by a new television character — a dapper, dark-haired gent who looked good without a shirt and went by the name of Schmidt.
That character…was not Walden Schmidt, the dotcom billionaire Ashton Kutcher now plays on Two and a Half Men. Though the former That ’70s Show star did make headlines throughout the 2011-2012 TV season, they generally had more to do with his personal life or endorsements gone wrong than his performance on CBS’ venerable sitcom. That’s not to say Kutcher is necessarily doing a bad job; our own Ken Tucker praised the actor in his review of Men‘s Season 9 premiere, saying that his poker face seemed positively Sheenian. (Charlie Sheen, of course, famously made a different assessment of his replacement.)
So why haven’t critics and audiences been buzzing about CBS’s Schmidt? READ FULL STORY
Demi Moore finally settled on a new Twitter handle, letting go of the @mrskutcher name that she used to grow popular on the social networking site.
After announcing her split from Ashton Kutcher last November, the actress left Twitter for a while. But she recently resurfaced and asked for help in determining a new handle. As of today, Moore decided that her followers will now know her as “justdemi.” “So hard finding a name that was fun somewhat playful and available. So for now it will be @justdemi It could grow on me!” she wrote on her account.
It sounds like Ms. Moore is flexible about her choice — so it could change again. And for a woman who still goes by her first husband’s last name, we’re surprised she made such a big deal about what she’s called on Twitter.
Although we are still hoping she’ll change her mind and go with @theexmrswillis.
The Internet continues to grow increasingly inhospitable to Ashton Kutcher. After drumming up controversy over tweets about Joe Paterno last November and the cryptic crumbling of his marriage as seen through the same social site, now the Two and a Half Men star has created a ruckus over a character he plays in a new viral ad for Popchips. Kutcher donned brownface to play Raj, an Indian Bollywood producer. After numerous complaints about the stunt, the company has taken down the ad. Check out the ad and Popchips’ statement below. Though it actually launched on Oct. 9, 1986, Fox is celebrating its 25th anniversary this weekend with a primetime extravaganza featuring such stars of yesteryear as Calista Flockhart, Gabrielle Carteris, Ian Ziering, and David Faustino. Before tomorrow night’s broadcast, we thought it appropriate to take a look back at how the network has changed the pop culture landscape in the last quarter century. READ FULL STORY
Regardless of what the public thinks, Ashton Kutcher has a stamp of approval to portray late Apple founder Steve Jobs from at least one inside source. According to TMZ, Steve Wozniak, Jobs’ partner in founding the computer dynasty, is A-OK with the casting news.
“The fear that many might have is that Ashton was selected because he’s ‘hot’ right now,” said Wozniak, “but I feel that his selection was done in the most professional manner. And I’m glad that he’s on board. I think he’ll put a lot into it and that he cares about this particular subject.”
The indie biopic, from Swing Vote director Joshua Michael Stern, goes simply by the name Jobs and will reportedly follow the tech impresario’s transition “from wayward hippie to co-founder of Apple.” It’s set to begin filming next month. READ FULL STORY
Ground control to David Bowie — now we’re dealing with a real space oddity: Sir Richard Branson announced via his website on Monday that Ashton Kutcher had become the 500th “astronaut” to reserve space on his Virgin Galactic spacecraft, which will blast off… soon. The exact date has not yet been set. SpaceShipTwo is still in the midst of free-glide flight tests, giving us plenty of time to speculate on what AshtonStar Galactica will actually be like.
Now, keep in mind, Kutcher won’t be the only celebrity on board. Stephen Hawking will also be taking the suborbital tour, which will launch Kutcher and co. 50,000 feet into space, giving them a full zero-gravity experience and a dazzling view of Earth that most of us plebs only marginally experience at IMAX theatres, or EPCOT. The price tag for this madcap adventure? $200,000. A pretty hefty sum for those of us in the 99%, but a total steal for Lance Bass, who just couldn’t cough up the $20 million he needed to fly to the international space station back when boy bands still mattered. MTV just released a trailer for its Punk’d reboot, and they’re aiming high. Unlike the prank show’s previous Ashton Kutcher-led incarnation, a different celebrity will host the show each week (though Kutcher is still producing). For the big-name, wedding-crashing premiere on March 29, Justin Bieber brings the mischief and mayhem as he puts country sweetheart Taylor Swift through the ringer. From the look on her face, you’d think she won an award! See the trailer below. READ FULL STORY
Move over, Columbus, Ohio! Move over founder of the New World! You’ve both been replaced by newer, younger models. Reviving the global tradition of celebrity naming for a new generation, Ashton Kutcher and Chuck Norris (did you ever think you’d see those two in a sentence together?) have both been honored recently as towns and/or monuments are now bearing their name.
Four U.K. towns were recently re-named in honor of the Two and a Half Men star — Ashton Hayes in Cheshire County; Ashton Under Hill, Worcestershire; Ashton, South Northamptonshire; and Ashton Keynes, Wiltshire. According to ThisIsWiltshire.co.uk, Ashton Keynes residents spotted flower beds spelling out the newly shorn star’s name and a bronzed bust of Kutcher glitzing up a local store. Then they noticed their beloved White Hart Inn had been redubbed the Ashton Kutcher Arms, which began serving frothy (if a bit tepid) Ashton Kutcher Ale. READ FULL STORY
