Camp Firewood lives! It’s been 10 years since Wet Hot American Summer premiered at Sundance, but this week most of the gang reunited  along with some famous friends at San Francisco’s Sketchfest to perform the cult film in a live “radio play.” And we’ve got the photos to prove it.

Check out Paul Rudd, Amy Poehler, Molly Shannon, Michael Showalter, David Wain, and Michael Ian Black back together again. Plus, see the friends-of-Camp Firewood who joined in the fun, including David Cross, Colin Hanks, Andy Richter, Busy Phillips, and more in the photos after the jump. Chris Harrison blogs 'The Bachelor' episode 3

chris-harrison

I gave you fair warning that this week’s episode was a wild one. We started by making the short trip over from Sonoma to Ben’s hometown of San Francisco. I love this seemingly simple change in the show of going to locations that mean so much to our bachelor. Obviously we always travel to the contestants’ hometowns towards the end of the season, but this is completely different. It’s great for these women to see Ben in his hometown and get a real glimpse of what life will be like with him… minus Matt Nathanson, climbing the Bay Bridge, and skiing in the middle of the city. But other than that, it’s exactly what life would be like with him in San Francisco. We stayed in the historic Fairmont hotel in San Francisco. We’ve stayed in many of their properties around the world and they’re all great but I have to say the crew we worked with here was second to none. READ FULL STORY »

Chris Harrison blogs 'The Bachelor' episode 2

chris-harrison

We are off and running on what has already become one of the most talked about seasons of The Bachelor we’ve ever had. I love waking up Tuesday hearing everybody discuss issues from the previous night’s episode. I also enjoyed getting live tweets from many of you (@chrisbharrison) during the show. I have to admit though, my favorite thing last week was learning that Josh Groban and Snooki were watching the show. Groban had a great tweet saying his love child with Rafael Nadal was on ABC right now looking for love. I always find it interesting to learn who watches the show. Snooki as the next Bachelorette… hmmmm, interesting! There is one thing I left out of my first blog I wanted to cover as it is always one of the most asked questions I ever get via Twitter while the first episode airs. Yes, the driveway is wet. We water it down so that it looks pretty on TV. The other reason we water the driveway is we hope that someday it will grow to be a beautiful, big superhighway. With that mystery settled again, let’s talk about episode 2. READ FULL STORY »

Chris Harrison blogs 'The Bachelor' season premiere

chris-harrison

Welcome back to a very special edition of The Bachelor. I know you’ve heard that before, but all kidding aside this season is incredibly special for those of us who have put our heart and soul into this franchise. This season officially marks our 10th year on TV. That is an amazing accomplishment in this day and age of network television. There are actually a few of us, including myself, that have been here since the beginning. To borrow a cheesy Bachelor phrase: it’s been an amazing journey. Whether you’ve been watching us since the beginning or just jumped on the bandwagon I want to say thank you! Please know that it’s never lost on any of us that work so hard on this franchise that the only reason we are around is because you have chosen to make us a part of your Monday night ritual. I’m incredibly excited this is our 10th year, because as you saw on Monday night, this season is more than worthy of not only holding up the Bachelor mantle, but also taking it to new heights.

We always start the new season with a look back at how we got here, but for some reason this time going back to Fiji and watching Ben’s proposal to Ashley was strange. I’m not sure if it’s that Ashley and JP seem so perfect together or that Ben has come so far since that day. Kudos to the producers for throwing in some great music this season. The addition of the David Gray tune off the top was solid. You’ll see more of that throughout the season. READ FULL STORY »

Chris Harrison dishes on the 'Bachelor' -- EXCLUSIVE

Craig Sjodin/ABC

Now that we’ve seen Ben Flajnik’s Bachelor butt, it’s time to find out more about the women who got to see it in person. Bachelor host/EW blogger Chris Harrison called to give us some exclusive scoop (to match our exclusive photo here) on this season.

Personally, I was hoping he’d dish a little on that yellow animal printed monstrosity of a dress in the front row, or why Ben’s hair looks like a third grader’s on his way to school picture day. Alas, he took the high road and talked about Ben’s sincerity. READ FULL STORY »

This Week's Cover: 'American Horror Story' and eight other new shows you love

Do you like scary movies? Then you’ll love FX’s new series American Horror Story, the craziest new TV series of the fall season — and perhaps ever. Created by Glee’s Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk, AHS is a feverish, sexed-up reimagining of one of the most reliable tropes of the genre, the haunted house. And in this week’s issue, EW goes behind the scenes of the fabulously freaky frightfest. The Harmon family — father Ben (The Practice‘s Dylan McDermott), mother Vivien (Friday Night Lights‘ Connie Britton), and daughter Violet (newcomer Taissa Farmiga) — move from Boston to Los Angeles for a fresh start, but end up moving into a house that makes the Insidious abode look like a trip to Disneyland. Despite a warning that the previous owners have died in the house, the family still moves in and that’s when all hell literally breaks loose. Pretty soon, Vivien is having sex with someone/something in a rubber fetish suit, Ben is sleepwalking naked around the house, and Violet is encountering a basement-dwelling creature nicknamed the “infantata.” And that’s just in the first 50 minutes. “I read the script and I was like, ‘Um…whaat? I don’t understand,’” says Britton. “I kind of took a leap of faith.”  READ FULL STORY »

Christina Hendricks starring in 'Need for Speed: The Run' -- EXCLUSIVE

The venerable Need for Speed franchise is getting some new blood in its upcoming 18th installment. EW can exclusively report that through the magic of motion-capture technology, Mad Men‘s Christina Hendricks will play a leading role in the upcoming Need for Speed: The Run. She plays Sam Harper, a presumably badass big wheel in the exciting world of outlaw street racing, who serves as the player’s eyes and ears on the course.

“She’s got a relationship with the main driver player,” explains Hendricks, referring to the game’s protagonist Jack Rourke (played by Sean Faris who, in a bit of ambient gamer lore, played Kyo Kusanagi in the film adaptation of The King of Fighters.) “They come from the same hood. She gets him involved in the cross-country race with a lot of money at stake. There’s an element of pushing him but also taking care of him.” READ FULL STORY »

America Ferrera joining 'Chicago' cast in London, also sets Broadway debut -- EXCLUSIVE

Who knew? Ugly Betty can sing! Emmy-winning actress America Ferrera will join the London cast of the long-running musical Chicago next month, EW has learned exclusively. Ferrera will play Roxie Hart, the role made famous by Gwen Verdon and Ann Reinking on Broadway and Renée Zellweger in the 2002 film. (American Idol‘s Kara DioGuardi is currently playing Roxie on Broadway.) Ferrera’s eight-week stint will begin on November 7.

After her run in Chicago, Ferrera will then make her Broadway debut in a revival of Beth Henley’s 1984 play, The Miss Firecracker Contest, about a Mississippi woman who enters a beauty pageant. Holly Hunter filled the role off-Broadway as well as in the 1989 film Miss Firecracker. Ferrera begins rehearsals in March; the production, to be directed by Judith Ivey, will premiere next spring.
