'Community' season (series?) finale two-way react: Choose your own timeline

As season 4 wraps up, Community fans are left in limbo, wondering whether or not we’ll get to see more of our favorite study group.

Granted, we’re used to this kind of treatment, although this season the cries for #sixseasonsandamovie are not as loud. Perhaps you are of the opinion that it’s best to leave the show where it is, and remember the somewhat less uneven days of seasons past. Or, maybe you’re willing to stay with the show another season to see if it will get its sea legs.

Alison Brie tries to create unsexy GIFs with Paul F. Tompkins -- VIDEO

There are some pretty sexy GIFs of Alison Brie floating around the internet (GIFs that I feel too dirty even to link to), so a super dapper Paul F. Tompkins gave Brie a chance to create some moments that could be made into  unsexy GIFs. Tompkins had Brie do things like check for bugs in a used wig, ask a shrunken witch head for advice, and debate whether or not to purchase Selena on VHS.

”I hope you’re ready for that to be turned into absolute filth,” Tompkins joked at the end.  Brie laughed, ”I always forget not to open my mouth. I feel like that’s the key.”

Alison Brie's freestyle rap skills are really improving -- VIDEO

The new, Dan Harmon-less Community may not be quite as brilliant as it once was — but at least its stars are still as charming and talented as ever.

During Alison Brie’s appearance on Late Night yesterday, Jimmy Fallon asked her to speak about her amateur freestyle rapping, which began as something she’d do on set as a joke. Her secret hobby was exposed last year, thanks to a gag reel from Community‘s third season and this impromptu performance with costar Danny Pudi at a concert in December. When Fallon asked the actress to spit a few rhymes right then and there, she happily obliged.

The resulting rap is much better than the one Brie performed two months ago, proving that a stretch of unanticipated downtime is just what a lady needs to polish her freestyle skillz. Check it out below, or Ali B will take you to court:

With the abrupt delay of Community‘s season 4 premiere, the show’s stars found themselves with a few months of unanticipated downtime. And how have they been spending that downtime? Oh, you know, the usual: shopping, housekeeping, freestyle rapping.

Alison Brie, who plays Annie on the show, has a band called The Girls with Cyrina Fiallo and Julianna Guill. At a show with bluegrass band Jones Street Station on Friday, Brie invited her Community co-star Danny Pudi onstage and the two launched into an impromptu freestyle rap. They may not be quite on par with their co-star Donald Glover (a.k.a. Childish Gambino), but for a spur-of-the-moment performance, it’s not half bad.

'Community': Alison Brie and Gillian Jacobs' 'pin up special' exists in the sexiest timeline -- VIDEO

Hungry for some breakfast dessert? Good — because there’s a giant slice of cheesecake waiting after the jump.

Last summer, Community stars Alison Brie and Gillian Jacobs got kinky for a photo spread in GQ, a fashion magazine that tends to advocate nakedness (for women, at least). But somehow, the following video of the gals performing a trio of goofy burlesque bits during said photoshoot didn’t hit YouTube until Oct. 19… which, uncoincidentally, is the date that Community‘s fourth season was originally supposed to premiere on NBC.

It’s semi-NSFW, unless your boss doesn’t mind you gaping at half-naked ladies. Even so, you should hurry up and watch it before this video breaks the Internet.

‘Community’ theater: Alison Brie and her band The Girls cover Hall & Oates -- VIDEO

Alison Brie just won’t stop. It’s not enough that she’s part of one of TV’s most-loved comedies (Community) as well as one of its most-loved dramas (Mad Men). And it’s certainly not enough that she just co-starred with Jason Segel and Emily Blunt in The Five-Year Engagement. Now you can add budding songstress to her list of credits.

As part of the pop trio The Girls (along with friends Cyrina Fiallo and Julianna Guill, also actresses), Brie took the stage at Meltdown Comics in Los Angeles on Cinco de Mayo to perform, among other songs, a cover of Hall & Oates’ “Rich Girl” that we’ve quickly fallen in love with. It’s not so much that Brie’s voice is a revelation; rather, it’s simply the fact that we’ve got yet another reason to geek out about Alison Brie.
