Below, the week's most potent quotables -- from The Office, Bones, How I Met Your Mother, Survivor, and more! Anyone who's sick of having Twilight drilled into his or her consciousness Clockwork Orange style (we had no idea PopWatch could be so effective!) won't want to miss the Goth vs. Vamp South Park clip at the end. (You can watch the whole episode online, here. Trust me, you want to. Five words: Hot Topic store on fire.) Come on, don't be a douchebag vampire wannabe boner. Press play. "All of you."

Dr. Adorable's Talkalong Photo Shoot

Neil Patrick Harris -- one of EW's 2008 Entertainers of the Year -- took time out from balancing on low-level brick structures to tell Whitney about his most excellent year, make suggestions for a Dr. Horrible sequel (wire work!), and remind us of the existence of Hole in the Wall. Press play below, and visit EW.com's Entertainers of the Year hub for more exclusive videos from the Chosen Ones.

EW's 2008 Entertainers of the Year

Categories: 'Lost', EW.com video, Film, Lists-o-rama!, Music, Olympics, Television, Things That Are Awesome!

Back in ye olde October, Slezak asked for the actors, musicians and general phenomenons that most delighted you this year. Judging from the hundreds of responses (barring the 20 or so that just said "DAVID ARCHULETA 20 times -- very original), EW's official 2008 Entertainers of the Year should be a P-Dub pleaser. Let us know what you think, and be sure to keep checking our Entertainers of the Year package for exclusive videos with Tina Fey (No. 2, but No. 1 in my heart), the Bravo TV gang (No. 12), and more! Press play below to go behind-the-scenes at the photo shoot for No. 17 -- Lost's Yunjin Kim and Daniel Dae Kim. The trance-like effect of Jin gently pushing Sun on a tree swing is what you've always needed in your life. You just didn't know until now:

Hey, don't change the channel! After Jin and Sun's swing time, stay tuned for Daniel Dae Kim's favorite Entertainers of 2008...and (gasp! swoon!) Jeff Jensen tooling around the Lost set with a camcorder.

Maks on the new direction of 'DWTS': 'Not so fun'

In case you missed it earlier in the week, Dancing With the Stars pro Maksim Chmerkovskiy, who claims he has never submitted to a spray tan (pshaw!), stopped by EW.com to deep-dish about season 7. Two more Maks videos, on a fictional web channel I like to call Chmerkovision, are embedded after the jump.

'Rock Band 2': The battle of the bureaus

Sep 29, 2008, 12:05 PM | by Shirley Halperin

Categories: EW.com video, Music, Videogames

After dozens of raucous jam sessions, weeks of agonizing wrist cramps and the nonstop parade of puzzled stares by colleagues who happened by the EW conference room while our bureau bands were "practicing," the time to battle had arrived. Both the Los Angeles and New York offices had about one week to tinker with Rock Band 2, the new, improved followup to the game we'd become absolutely addicted to, and we each picked a song with which to duel. The date was set, the fight was on and we were ready to rock!

Playing for LA: writers Whitney Pastorek (vocals), yours truly (guitar), Josh Rottenberg (drums) and Editor-at-Large Ben Svetkey (bass). On team New York: EW.com senior editor Adrienne Day (vocals), intern Jaya Saxena (guitar), music editor Rob Brunner (drums) and editorial assistant Simon Vozick-Levinson (bass). Our song: Blondie's "One Way Or Another." Theirs: the Who's "Pinball Wizard" (fine choice, if I may add). And in case of a draw, however unlikely, Bon Jovi's "Livin' On A Prayer" was designated a wild card.

The "battle of the bureaus" précis, and your favorite Rock Band battle stories, after the jump...

David Archuleta vs. David Cook: Is the 'Idol' competition over?

Sep 26, 2008, 09:24 AM | by Leah Greenblatt

Categories: 'American Idol', EW.com video, Music

We know how the story ended with David and Goliath, but what about David versus David? Of the two Idol alums, one’s a little bit (okay, a lot bit) poppy, the other’s a little bit rock’n’roll; one’s bubbly, the other’s stubbly; one’s got an innocent “Crush,” and the other wants you to leave the “Light On.” My colleague Margeaux Watson and I sat down to discuss the musical prospects of the dueling Davids as part of our larger series of discussions about the fall music season (click here to see 'em all!). But given how decidedly different the two Davids actually sound, here's a question for you: Is it possible for both  Mr. Archuleta and Mr. Cook to find success on the charts this season? Or, do Idol fans feel like even though the theme weeks and speed dialing are finished, the competition still rages on?

Toronto 2008: Celebrity fragrance and festival pirates

The Toronto film festival may be chronologically half way over, PopWatchers, but if we're counting by the sheer numbers of screenings, stars, roughed-up rock stars and autograph seekers, this year's Canadian shindig is well into its final turn down the home stretch. Whereas Sunday was a whirlwind of screenings, parties, interviews and fancy dinners, with so many skipping town at the end of the weekend, Monday was all with the low-key -- aside from preparing for our upcoming News & Notes festival report in Friday's magazine, I only took in two screenings: Uncertainty with Joseph Gordon-Levitt and The Hurt Locker with Jeremy Renner (28 Weeks Later) and Guy Pearce. Which means I finally have time in today's Toronto vlog to talk about something I've wanted to discuss since the first day: The difference between the press screenings and the public ones.

Before you click below, though, a quick disclaimer: You may notice at the end I promise one final video blog coming your way tomorrow. That, alas, is a lie. I hadn't realized our EW.com video mastermind/savant/genius/wunderkind/savior Jason Averett (who knows how to teach these vlogs the language of the interwebs) was heading home tomorrow morning. So instead on Wednesday I'll be back to the good ole written word for my final reports from the fest. Forthwith, my last vlog -- at least, from the wilds of Canadia.

'Fringe' sent Joshua Jackson to the ER — awesome!

Joshua Jackson returns to TV tonight with the premiere of J.J. Abrams' Fringe (Fox, 8 p.m. ET). Last month, I stole a few moments with Jackson at his photo shoot for EW's Fall TV Preview issue — read Doc Jensen's piece on the X-Files-esque drama here — and found out why he was drawn to the role of a man described as a "massive pain in the ass" in the pilot; what scene in a later episode sent him to the emergency room; and how much he reminds me of a mini-Clooney.* Watch the video below.

* Charming things you won't see him do in the video, because our camera wasn't rolling:

1) Model the pair of purple satin shoes that a delusional stylist brought to the shoot for him to consider wearing.

2) Tell his publicist that he didn't know what kind of caffeine there was left to put in his body, so yes, it was time to move on to beer for his next photo shoot (his fourth and final of that Sunday).

3) Sit down on a couch beside me after I patted the seat. Reluctantly share that he was exhausted from an 80-hour work week and that he had a 7 a.m. call time the next morning. Check the messages on his cell phone, shout F---! repeatedly, and explain that his call time had just been moved up an hour.

4) Walk across the room to say goodbye to our four-person video crew and shake our hands again before he left.

Behind the scenes of 'Gossip Girl'

Hey PopWatchers. Hopefully, you've all gotten the chance to check out this week's EW cover story on Gossip Girl written by yours truly (click here if you haven't; and click here for EW's guide to the best and worst of GG's first season). I was on location with the cast and crew in Brooklyn Heights back in August and brought along a video camera to document my trip. The result is a mix between The Blair Witch Project and an annoying tourist filming his trip to Legoland, but with more Chanel and man purses (Murses!). Watch and enjoy!!

Toronto 2008: Bill Maher, Kevin Smith, and the great outdoors

Sep 8, 2008, 11:40 AM | by Adam B. Vary

Categories: EW.com video, Toronto Film Festival 2008

My voice is still a bit shaky, PopWatchers, and my sleep schedule remains all kinds of wackadoodle, but at least the remnants of Gustav have finally (hopefully) pushed beyond the Ontario borders. That's right, the sun is shining bright on the Toronto International Film Festival, which means I can at long last vlog outdoors! (Ooo. That just sounds vaguely untoward, huh? It's not, I promise.) So click on to hear more about why I had to walk out of Fifty Dead Men Walking (starring Ben Kingsley and 21's Jim Sturgess), what surprised Kevin Smith the most about Toronto, what may be an advance look at a Religulous DVD extra courtesy Bill Maher, and what some native Torontonians had to say about the film festival that's called their city home for over 30 years.

Toronto 2008: Greg Kinnear, Peter O'Toole, and show tunes!

Sep 7, 2008, 11:13 AM | by Adam B. Vary

Categories: EW.com video, Toronto Film Festival 2008

I've only spent three days at the Toronto Film Festival, and my voice is already starting to croak itself away, PopWatchers. But that won't stop me from taking on my second Toronto vlog (Two! Two vlogs at Toronto! Ah-ah-ah!) -- which is also simply my second vlog, like ever, so if you happen to notice any technological ineptitude on my part, well, I promise I'm a fast learner. So click below for more on Greg Kinnear's windshield wipers, what Peter O'Toole film got me all misty, and why I was singing humming show tunes on the Toronto subway.

(For the record, after I recorded this, Missy Schwartz told me that those Religulous protesters were actually standing outside of the Nick and Norah premiere waiting for Bill Maher's film to debut in the same theater. Which does make so much more sense.)

Toronto 2008: Brad Pitt, "Gerry" Butler, and getting booed

Sep 6, 2008, 01:17 PM | by Adam B. Vary

Categories: EW.com video, Toronto Film Festival 2008

Hello from the Toronto film festival, PopWatchers! I'm here today to video blog (or "vlog," to use the appropriate cyber-slang, which sounds like it was coined by Transylvanian lumberjacks) my first two days amongst the cinematic maple leaves. From where I sit, it's been a surprisingly low energy fest thus far, but I still managed to cram in all kinds awesome activities, so click below to find out more about who Brad Pitt was hob-nobbing with at the Burn After Reading party and what Ricky Gervais has to do with me getting booed. Yes, I got booed, and I don't even have a film here!
