I Love You, Man
Plot: After realizing that he has no male pals, a sensitive guy (Paul Rudd) befriends a goofy loose cannon (Jason Segel).
Looks like: Bromance: The Movie (thankfully without Brody Jenner)
Verdict: Between this and his Prop 8-themed SNL appearance earlier this year, Rudd has officially cornered the market on homo-ambiguous comedy. Which might be kind of offensive if he weren't so damn charming. We just love him, man.
Obsessed
Plot: A psycho office temp (Heroes' Ali Larter) makes life hell for her boss (Idris Elba) and his wife (Beyoncé Knowles)
Looks like: The end of Knowles' winning streak. Sorry, but this has B-movie written all over it, and I don't mean B like Beyoncé.
Verdict: After The Crush, Fatal Attraction, and Swimfan, we're finding it hard to muster much excitement for a movie with Larter in the Glenn Close/Alicia Silverstone/Erika Christensen role. Now, if Knowles had been the villainess, we'd be singing a different tune...
Night at the Museum 2: Battle of the Smithsonian
Plot: Ben Stiller sees dead people. And dead animals. And dead presidents.
Looks like: When History Attacks
Verdict: Amy Adams (as Amelia Earhart) and Bill Hader (as General Custer) are nice additions to the over-stuffed cast, but otherwise this looks less like a sequel to NATM and more like a genetic clone.
