'Lost' season premiere: We've seen it!

Dec 30, 2008, 12:30 PM | by Jeff Jensen

Categories: 'Lost', About Last Night, Television, Things That Are Awesome!

Lost_l Yesterday. 9:30 a.m. I was moments away from spending the day at Disneyland, the happiest place on Earth, when a certain EW colleague, whose name rhymes with Shmichael Slausiello, tipped me off that the first two episodes of Lost’s fifth season were now available to lucky media dorks like me for reviewing. Suddenly, the House of Mouse (and really, any other locale that wasn’t my laptop DVD player) was not the happiest place on Earth, but the most hellishly inconvenient. ARRRRGHHH! A long day of standing in life-stealing, long-ass lines became even more criminal and assish as I counted the minutes before I could rip into the most awesome of delayed Christmas presents. (Although I must say, The Pirates of the Carrbbean -- a masterpiece of experiential narrative on any other day -- was almost compelling enough to distract me from my furious angst. ALMOST.)

Finally, at 10 p.m. last night, with exhausted family passed out, I sat down and broke the seven-month Lost fast with the first two helpings of season 5. Both went down well, one more so than the other. A few thoughts in advance of a more thorough discussion to come, once the episodes air and we're all on the same page.

Lost’s tradition of opening the year with a killer, capture-the-imagination sequence is honored and upheld, though the thing I loved most was how it was brazenly frank (and engagingly funny) about the heady high-concept conceit that will define the season. Almost everything that followed that opening passage was pretty cool, too. Remember the non-linear structure of Pulp Fiction, which toggled between a number of storylines whose chronological relationship to each other is practically a puzzle for the audience to solve? Well, the season premiere is kinda like that. The first two episodes will have the audience — and the show’s characters — trying to make sense of shifts in time. They demand active engagement, and I found it to be a lot of fun. Especially the first hour.

Lots of Sawyer in the first two eps. Lots of his naked chest, too. Lots of Hurley, and as for his chest, it is covered...with a very funny T-shirt. Sayid also has mucho screen time in both episodes, though he sleeps his way through one of them. Literally. And Daniel Faraday emerges as a huge player in season 5. The eps are dotted with cameos and extended cameos from peripheral but important figures crucial to the Lost mythology and much-loved by the Lost fan community. A polarizing character from Lost’s past returns, earns some redemption by participating with wit and humility, and delivers one of the best lines of either episode. Once again, all things Ben just rock. And if you're familiar with the rather disturbing crush that Doc Jensen happens to have on a certain rarely-seen Lost someone, then you can imagine how I swooned when I saw her re-appear at long last in the second episode.

In short, it was worth the wait, and certainly the perfect tonic for a day at Disneyland. I can't wait to see if you agree -- or disagree -- with me when Lost premieres on Jan. 21. In the meantime, tell me: What are you most looking forward to seeing in season 5? What are your burning questions? Let me know...because I'll be able to soon answer them for you, in the most unexpected of ways...

Good to be gabbing Lost with you again, friends. Look for the first official Doc Jensen column next week. Namaste!

What have we looked foward to the most? Well..for one...your blog. We are a marketing office and each morning after a Lost episode airs...we gather around one of the computers and we analyze, chat and read your blog. LOVE IT!!! You are hysterical! Thanks! Can't Wait!!!!

TOTAL SPOILER (from Mart) Thu, Jan 15, 2009 at 04:47 PM EST

Don't read this if you really don't wanna know what's next: This is from Aug 25, 2008, 02:22 PM | by Michael Ausiello: "Lost" Resurrects Michelle Rodriguez! Michelle Rodriguez, arguably one of the more polarizing personalities to have ever gotten Lost, is returning to the show this season, multiple sources confirm to me exclusively. Details of her comeback are, not surprisingly, shrouded in secrecy, but here's what I can tell you: Rodriguez is back for one episode, most likely THIS SEASON'S SECOND. As a result, the risk to Hawaii's roadways is said to be minimal. Given that Ana Lucia's bullet-riddled body is probably entering the final stage of decomposition, conventional Lost wisdom (if there is such a thing) points to her appearing in someone's flashback or via hallucination. LOSTfan Fri, Jan 9, 2009 at 12:40 PM EST

SOOOOO jealous you got to see it Doc!! Does anyone know what day the "first official Doc Jensen column" is coming out? Thanks!!

sawyerwannab Thu, Jan 8, 2009 at 01:39 AM EST

kate, we have to go back... WE HAVE TO GO BACK!

Cheryl Wed, Jan 7, 2009 at 03:10 PM EST

I really just want to know what the heck happened to the island?? And, of course the people still on it.

saadia Wed, Jan 7, 2009 at 01:57 PM EST

I just want Ben to be gone. I really detest that guy. He gives me the creeps and what is really frustrating is that everybody keeps giving him second chances! AAAAARGH

Peter B Wed, Jan 7, 2009 at 10:13 AM EST

Hmmm. I guess it is sometimes good to be a TV columnist. Thanks for the snippets of info! With Damages and 24 to (barely) hold me over, I look forward to the season premiere.

Summer Tue, Jan 6, 2009 at 12:28 AM EST

FOUR. TOED. STATUE.

Mike Mon, Jan 5, 2009 at 09:29 AM EST

The producers have actually jokingly stated (well seriously i guess lol) that Vincent will survive until the end of the series, so i'm guessing we'll see him again! As for Henry Gale, I think they also mentioned he was supposed to be in season 4. Maybe that storyline got scrapped due to the strike. So perhaps he will show up somewhere (and time) in season 5.

www.lostaddictsblog.com (if that doesn't work lost addicts blog dot com lol)

NYCGirl Sun, Jan 4, 2009 at 08:06 PM EST

My questions:

1)We will see Vincent again, won't we?

2)Will the REAL Henry Gale factor in at all?

KGL Sat, Jan 3, 2009 at 08:19 PM EST

Aw Doc! I'm so glad you're back that I am not even mad that you got to see the first two episodes before the rest of us! Can't wait for the first official Doc Jensen post. I hope that your wife is doing well - say "hi" to her from all of us!

okiegirl Sat, Jan 3, 2009 at 07:25 AM EST

If Sayid needs sleep, fine, but please tell me he sleeps naked. Yee haw! I hope Doc is crushin' on Shannon whose vulnerable/spoiled/selfish/in-love-with-Sayid woman-child needs to return! She was a glorious mess, unlike Ana Lucia who was just a mean, murderous mess. A big smooch to ya, Jensen! xxx

Wendy Drake Fri, Jan 2, 2009 at 07:21 PM EST

What am I most looking forward to? Sawyer's bare chest, of course. Oh, and the rest of the story.

Pika Fri, Jan 2, 2009 at 10:17 AM EST

I'm looking forward to more puzzle pieces to add to the time travel puzzle. And wow, Ana Lucia who would have thought it (god she drives me nuts, the most annoying character yet). Why is it that a preview for Lost is better than most of the shows on TV? Here's to dark cold nights spent watching lost.

Fan of Forum Monkeys Fri, Jan 2, 2009 at 04:28 AM EST

I personally would like to hear more from Charles Charlie Charles. He made me laugh.

jhc3 Fri, Jan 2, 2009 at 01:45 AM EST

The most frustrating thing about this article was not the fact that it exists for no reason other than to tease, but that it perpetuates the nonsense that there was anything hip, clever, intelligent, original, or challenging about PULP FICTION.

mike dee Thu, Jan 1, 2009 at 07:57 PM EST

Something to chew on. I am wondering if widmore used to be on the island and had to move it thats why he wants to go back and why ben is trying to keep it from widmore. also i believe the people we see attacking the losties are from russos ship the island moved back to when it crashed and they come across our guys, real quick on the same note moving backward, the guy who was with desmond in the hatch i believe is also the guy who pulls the gun on daniel in the yellow suit in the trailer

Wed, Dec 31, 2008 at 10:47 PM EST

I decided to stop looking at Lost Spoilers as a New Years Resolution. So on NYE night, and I'm sick as holy hell, thanks for this Doc.

One question I do have for you, how in the world did The Constant miss the cut of best TV episodes for 2008?

Leila Wed, Dec 31, 2008 at 10:18 PM EST

So JEALOUS. This makes me want to ditch my own career and become a t.v. reviewer/critic/"lucky media dork". Can't SAY how much I have missed Hurley, Sayid, Sawyer, Kate, and ESPECIALLY--JACK JACK JACK JACK JACK!!!

Amanda Wed, Dec 31, 2008 at 07:34 PM EST

I know this probs won't happen in the premier or maybe not even season 5, but I am totally rooting for Jack and Juliet!! (Jacket). I love how the two characters balance eachother out, and I think their relationship is more mature than Jack and Kate's. I also hope to see Juliet in the premier...
And as for how the 6 will get back; I just think once they are all together, they will get there. So for example, if they all get together on a plane, the plane will end up crashing on the island, because the island "needs" them there. I don't know, just a guess. I hope they don't stretch that out through the season too much though; I don't want the season finale to be the six getting back on the island, that would be lameeo.
Are they ever gonna explain the significance of the 3.2 million dollar deal?

AlexGGA Wed, Dec 31, 2008 at 06:46 PM EST

I don't want to know anything about Lost until I see the premier. Please, don't tell anything. I can't wait for season 5 to start!!!! I want to see all the old and new characters. All of them are amazing, either I hate them or love them. I do expect to see Ana Lucia again, she is so typical Lost material.

Mindy Wed, Dec 31, 2008 at 01:43 PM EST

Ugh, I am so jealous. Not of Disneyland. I have an annual pass there. (And Pirates is my favorite ride!) But jealous of Lost, definitely. Oh, I am dying to see the premier. Can't wait to see the awesome Ben return. Can't wait to see more of Faraday.

Thanks so much for the teases. Glad to see your Lost column coming back soon.

To Shaun Wed, Dec 31, 2008 at 11:14 AM EST

(I'm not Doc) The DL Pirates has always been a bit longer, but they are essentially the same ride, even with the Jack Sparrow overlay. A snoozer? Maybe only if you saw the movies first. They were and remain among the most immersive indoor Disney rides.

Aloha59 Wed, Dec 31, 2008 at 10:44 AM EST

Hey, jkcambell, wanna see more Desmond? Saw him at Whole Foods Market on Sunday lo9oking very Desmond-like! :)

Shaun Wed, Dec 31, 2008 at 10:36 AM EST

To "Good TV": Time to move out of Mom's basement and see the sunlight, isn't it?

Shaun Wed, Dec 31, 2008 at 10:31 AM EST

To Jason: Don't know where you're shopping, but the price of the season 4 DVDs was dropped awhile ago. I got a great deal on them at Amazon, before Xmas (don't know what they cost there now) and it was less than the previous seasons.

To Doc: I so envy you!! Jan. 21 can't come soon enough. One unrelated question: Is the Pirates at Disneyland different, and perhaps better than, then one in Florida? Because we were there this year, and that Pirates is a real snoozer.

lostevi815 Wed, Dec 31, 2008 at 10:07 AM EST

I really want to know one thing:about Kate and Sawyer meeting!will they be together or not???

BrooklynGirl Wed, Dec 31, 2008 at 09:41 AM EST

The only thing I really want to know: Is Jin really gone? Sun and Jin were the reasons I tuned in. I loved their story!!!!

To: A fan of GOOD TV Wed, Dec 31, 2008 at 09:30 AM EST

Love your quick wit...you should have a job writing for E! News Daily! But don't worry, the end to these annoying scripted shows is near (thanks NBC!). And buck up little camper, Idol is coming back too! Good TV! YAY!

bigtimelostfan Wed, Dec 31, 2008 at 08:50 AM EST

i don't know if anyone else posted this, but i think the rare chick he says is about to reappear is the ms. hawking lady. can't wait to see her again.

A fan of GOOD TV Wed, Dec 31, 2008 at 08:09 AM EST

ZZZZZZZzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz...wha?!?!....sorry i was "Lost" in my dream state, a dream state where this show was never made.

jak Wed, Dec 31, 2008 at 07:17 AM EST

Have you seen these spoilers?

http://spoilerslost.blogspot.com/2008/12/season-5-hangman-game.html

What do you think?

Zman Wed, Dec 31, 2008 at 07:06 AM EST

I love the Lost "placard" that ends every commercial for the show. It was always just the island's shadow in the letters "Lost." Last year we then saw the outline of the city in the water, and this year the city taked a more prominent image in the letters "Lost." It's such a small detail, but that is how well thought out this show is, a constant reward for loyal viewers. Can't wait until Jan 21!

greg Wed, Dec 31, 2008 at 03:39 AM EST

I think the arrow station means alot in the opening, as saywer dodges some arrows. The island is back in time so how can they go back? Polar Bear as polarizing sounds like a theory. Faraday and Charlotte has been to the island before for sure. Ethan is the freak who will return I suspect as well as ann lucia. he was such an evil character he needs more airtime. People are going die just not the main cast. I think instead of flashes were are going to see real time back home vs. back in time island scenes. it just makes sense. 316 means alot remeber faraday test rocket was off by that much and hidden the ajiraairways.com site you can fin 316 also. These writers deserve an emmy and if the do not get it the indusrty should go to the island. any thoughts?

NYCGirl Wed, Dec 31, 2008 at 03:11 AM EST

Lucky! :)

JasonHomey Wed, Dec 31, 2008 at 01:11 AM EST

I always liked Anna Lucia. I thought she was a perfect character for the show. Realistically, wouldn't a lot of people respond the way she did if she went through what she did? I never understood the hatred of her character by a great many Losties. I too am super pumped about the season though.

On a side note, can someone explain to me why the Season 4 Lost DVD costs the same as other seasons with 24 episodes?

CharlesHasASmall... Wed, Dec 31, 2008 at 01:07 AM EST

Dear Charles,

As you sit, ringing in the New Year all alone (I don't believe you even have a dog) on your smelly couch with one hand down your pants, remember, we - your only friends - will be here for you to mock if it makes you feel like less of a loser.

Jeremiah Wed, Dec 31, 2008 at 12:48 AM EST

I want to know when the island moved to, what happened that was so bad that Locke left, who killed him (don't think it was suicide), if that means the island is done with him, what's up with that damn 4-toed foot, is Christian holding Jacob hostage, what do his white shoes mean, why Smokey so mad, how long has Faraday been time-traveling, is Ben really going to kill Penny, how come Miles can see ghosts, who are the Hostiles really, was Charlotte really born on the island and does that mean we know her parents, how do the Others just vanish in a puff of whispers, what's the frickin temple, where are the kids, how will the 6 get back, is Ben going too, what does dead even mean on this show, can Smokey think for himself, is Smokey Jacob's cabin, what on earth is going on with Claire, why doesn't she want Aaron brought back, is Widmore trying to kill the 6 or is it one of Ben's scare tactics, why is Jin whenever Jin is, and is the volcano going to blow? Get on it, Doc. LOST RULES!

kt Wed, Dec 31, 2008 at 12:43 AM EST

Doc, love your column! Any chance we'll get a break from seeing our favorite losties getting killed off? Last season was rough, I'm hoping for some more positive news. Any chance that's possible?

Brandy Tue, Dec 30, 2008 at 11:34 PM EST

I'm most excited to see lots of Sawyers naked chest! I am also excited to hear my favorite 3 little words, "Previously on Lost..."

trazey Tue, Dec 30, 2008 at 11:33 PM EST

ack!!!!! i can't wait!! hopefully somoeone will leak it onto a torrent site LOL

JACK!!!!!!!!!!!!! I can't wait to see you again!!!!

tina lovell Tue, Dec 30, 2008 at 09:22 PM EST

By the way, I saw someone mentioned Ana Lucia and she will be appearing in one of the episodes that night.

Tina Lovell Tue, Dec 30, 2008 at 09:21 PM EST

Last night ABC aired a preview and I got so psyched for the season premiere. It looks awesome. I asked my husband if I could go to sleep and not wake up until 1/21 in the evening hours. lol

Carla Tue, Dec 30, 2008 at 08:51 PM EST

I am so jealous and I can't freaking wait for it to come back. I've never been this excited for a premiere let alone an episode.

Lauren Tue, Dec 30, 2008 at 08:24 PM EST

Cannot. Wait.

lydia Tue, Dec 30, 2008 at 07:58 PM EST

what i cant wait for is sawyer. i cant wait to see him with no shirt on. im counting down the days til lost

Mike Tue, Dec 30, 2008 at 07:42 PM EST

WELCOME BACK DOC!

God I've missed this sooooooo much!

sweetlassi Tue, Dec 30, 2008 at 07:33 PM EST

"Polarizing" character? I know who it is!!!! The POLAR BEAR from season 1 returns! Maybe it says "RRRAAAWWWWRRR" in a funny way? Remember, we saw the polar bear skeleton in the desert last season?!? FORESHADOWING!!!!

Charles Tue, Dec 30, 2008 at 07:32 PM EST

Sorry folks, I was just upset I ran out of peanut butter for my dog to lick off my scrote. I promise I'll be nicer in future comments!

Phil Tue, Dec 30, 2008 at 07:30 PM EST

The Doc's columns starting up again, I reckon the official Lost Podcast with Darlton will be starting up soon as well, three weeks away from the premier of the penultimate season, and I'm feeling like an 13 year old girl at a showing of Twilight. eeeeeee!!!!

Amy Tue, Dec 30, 2008 at 07:26 PM EST

Totally JEALOUS

Angie Tue, Dec 30, 2008 at 07:20 PM EST

Welcome back Doc! I am looking forward to many happy recaps. Happy New Year!

elleesa Tue, Dec 30, 2008 at 07:09 PM EST

Ana Lucia would be kewl. But I want to know if Jin survived the explosion and if the riders of the Zodiak boat make it back to the island/are transported when it disappeared.

mathew Tue, Dec 30, 2008 at 06:50 PM EST

I hope its Shannon, not AnaLucia

Lang Lang Tue, Dec 30, 2008 at 06:37 PM EST

Oh, Jeffrey. You have a crush on Ms. Hawking? I think she's a little out of your league.

To Charles Tue, Dec 30, 2008 at 06:05 PM EST

Seriously, you have nothing else to do w/ your life? Grow up.

Yippee537 Tue, Dec 30, 2008 at 06:01 PM EST

I have to admit, Charles, you're pretty entertaining. Although I'm not sure why you'd want to post a million times on a blog about a show you don't really like. Then again, your job could be as boring today as mine was.

Tue, Dec 30, 2008 at 06:00 PM EST

i don't know, i really like LOST, but after reading some of these posts i know that i am certainly not a bona fide fan. some of these people are crazy! ha ha, but really, i like LOST.

Ophelia Tue, Dec 30, 2008 at 05:57 PM EST

lost is lovely, but i have to say that i am a lot more excited for dollhouse. thanks for the info, doc.

Sookie Tue, Dec 30, 2008 at 05:48 PM EST

Has anyone else noticed they're playing season 2 on Fox? When did that happen?

drcarebug Tue, Dec 30, 2008 at 05:27 PM EST

Yay! Doc Jensen is back! We get worried when we don't hear from you for awhile. Loved your Comic Con shots. Hope the wife is well. Only 23 more days! I've already re-watched my season 4 so now I guess I have time to start from the beginning. It never gets old.

Danny Tue, Dec 30, 2008 at 05:22 PM EST

To the haters: If you don't like "Lost" why are you reading this article and bothering to comment on this page? You are like the annoying guy in the theater who chews his popcorn really loud or who has to talk on his cell phone through the movie, just shut up and let the rest of us enjoy ourselves!

Anitamargarita Tue, Dec 30, 2008 at 05:19 PM EST

Someone in here said that Ana Lucia couldn't be polarizing because everyone hated her - not true! I thought she was great.

Marie Tue, Dec 30, 2008 at 05:14 PM EST

Forgive me, but this is bullcrap! Not fair, not fair! Arrgh! You media ilk are so friggin spoiled. Not fair!

Okay, I'm done. Thanks for sharing and, man, I can't wait! I notice you didn't mention my crush (rhymes with Sesmond). I hope he starts showing up big time in the following eps. Have to say I've found myself more than a few times glued to channel G4, which has been showing Lost reruns. Anyone who's watched them over and over know they lose none of their edge and excitement. Fun! And in all fairness I have to say Michelle Rodriguez more than fulfilled her role on the show. I didn't like her initially, but now I think that was an unfair judgment.

Anitamargarita Tue, Dec 30, 2008 at 05:07 PM EST

Get a job Charles! If you hate the show so much, how come you've posted ten times more than anyone else?

Dan Dengle Tue, Dec 30, 2008 at 05:04 PM EST

I don't care much about a shirtless Sawyer, but I'd definitely appreciate a shirtless Kate.

aleksa Tue, Dec 30, 2008 at 05:01 PM EST

I cannot stress how stoked I am for this premiere! I hope it lives up to last season (I can barely think about the end of "The Constant" without getting teary)

Jill Cahr Tue, Dec 30, 2008 at 04:59 PM EST

I vote for Vincent. He needs an ep.

Susan Tue, Dec 30, 2008 at 04:53 PM EST

This is for Charles...they've only been on the island for three months....three months is not a very long time.....if you want reality tv, watch Survivor.....this is LOST, baby!!!!!

Nance Tue, Dec 30, 2008 at 04:51 PM EST

I'm just going to keep watching my new Dr. horrible DVD until Lost starts. That'll keep me from getting the shakes!

Bill Tue, Dec 30, 2008 at 04:51 PM EST

LOST returns. Damn, it's about time.

Johnny Tue, Dec 30, 2008 at 04:49 PM EST

Lost lost me long ago with all its stupida$$ plots. I can't stand this sorry excuse for a show and have been dreading its return since it happens to be my wife's favorite show and I will be forced to endure it while she watches it. Thank God for on-line poker.

Tue, Dec 30, 2008 at 04:32 PM EST

I just thank you for not spoiling anything. This is how all previews should work... a little idea and opinion of what we will see, without ruining anything.

Michael Tue, Dec 30, 2008 at 04:08 PM EST

Where can i watch it online?

Charles Tue, Dec 30, 2008 at 04:01 PM EST

Leila loves Doc!!

Leila and Doc sitting in the hatch-ee
k-i-s-s-i-n-g smokey
first comes hurley
then comes sawyer
now comes ana lucia with that lawyer

Leila Tue, Dec 30, 2008 at 03:59 PM EST

The heck with missing "Lost". I've missed Doc more!!!!!

Charles Tue, Dec 30, 2008 at 03:56 PM EST

You may miss Charlie, but I am Charles. I am right here. Come here, sad one.

Tue, Dec 30, 2008 at 03:55 PM EST

I miss charlie...that was the saddest episode...

Charles Tue, Dec 30, 2008 at 03:50 PM EST

Ana Lucia has been canoodling with a briefless lawyer, not a shirtless Sawyer.

I never saw her with Sawyer...just the lawyer.

Timscookie Tue, Dec 30, 2008 at 03:48 PM EST

My bet is that the polarizing character is Ana Lucia, she has been reported as being back on set for a couple eppy's.

nykolus Tue, Dec 30, 2008 at 03:47 PM EST

a shirtless sawyer??? bah! gimme a hairy jack any day!!! woot!

Charles Tue, Dec 30, 2008 at 03:41 PM EST

I am the MOST excited!! OH MY ME!! I was going to flush my head down the toilet, but the excitement of 'Lost' kept me alive.

I would gladly sacrifice my entire family and friends to watch Lost!! I don't like them that much anyway!!

jessup Tue, Dec 30, 2008 at 03:39 PM EST

OMG I AM SO EXCITED! I love Lost!

Charles Tue, Dec 30, 2008 at 03:32 PM EST

Once I got 'lost' at Disney World in Orlando and ended up inside this weird geodesic globe with a bunch of brightly attired shuffling zombie people with cameras. We saw a military officer named...Captain Eo...while seated in a dark room. He wore one glove.

Charles Tue, Dec 30, 2008 at 03:30 PM EST

...and I bet that child is Hurley!! Large, rotund like his daddy!!

Marie Tue, Dec 30, 2008 at 03:29 PM EST

Charles...I'll go one further...Emerson Cod likes to smoke a "smokey" stogie and has a missing child out there somewhere.......

Charles Tue, Dec 30, 2008 at 03:26 PM EST

OMG Marie!! I love you!! More than Doc Cod loves Smokey the Critter!!

That is a brilliant leap of logic...Emerson got Lost Pushing Daisies!! And the island is shaped like a pie!! With a crusty areola!!

Jackie Tue, Dec 30, 2008 at 03:25 PM EST

Eeeeek! I'm so excited! And you, you lucky thing. Disneyland and new Lost both on the same day! Somebody was on Santa's nice list!

Susan Tue, Dec 30, 2008 at 03:23 PM EST

I cannot wait for LOST. Am almost finished with the season 4 DVD's and forgot how much I missed it until I started re-watching season 4....

Susan Tue, Dec 30, 2008 at 03:23 PM EST

I cannot wait for LOST. Am almost finished with the season 4 DVD's and forgot how much I missed it until I started re-watching season 4....

Marie Tue, Dec 30, 2008 at 03:21 PM EST

To Charles: DOC spelled backwards is cod,a type of fish...

Emerson Cod is a private detective who works with a man who can raise the dead on Pushing Daisies so they can share flashbacks. Coincidence???

Michelle Tue, Dec 30, 2008 at 03:21 PM EST

Jealous here too. Why must we wait this bleeping long?! Although it's nice to know that Damon and Carlton have not let us down. They might be my favorite showrunners ever. Lots of Sawyer, Sayid and Ben? I'm there!

Charles Tue, Dec 30, 2008 at 03:21 PM EST

Please, cod, I mean, Doc!! Please!! Oh, wait, we are not on a date. Sorry. I got "lost". Damn you, Smokey the Critter!!

Karen Tue, Dec 30, 2008 at 03:20 PM EST

Yippee! Can't wait for LOST!

Gre Tue, Dec 30, 2008 at 03:20 PM EST

Speaking of Disneyland, wouldn't a LOST-themed creepy island river raft ride totally rock? LOST is a Disney property, after all. How about it, Disney's Hollywood Studios (FL)?

"A polarizing character from Lost’s past returns"

Is it Shannon? She's a big reason I am not a huge fan of S1 like everyone else seems to be. If it's not her, then my money is on Michael who also irritated me, but I doubt it's Nikki and Paulo...I think the showrunners will let them stay buried alive.

But the promise of Ben-ly goodness makes me very happy indeed!!!

I'm dying here! Just a taste more Doc. Pretty please w/ Dharma sugar on top? Ana Lucia, definitley polarizing. And Doc has a thing for Libby... :-)

I must give (left-handed) props to the DarkUFO people who obviously have set out to bombard every Lost blogging on the Internet with links. if only they would stop short of "utterly annoying."
