Kermit the Frog sings LCD Soundsystem: Finally!

File this under "Had to Happen Sometime." A while back, LCD Soundsystem released the album Sound of Silver, which we here at EW liked very much. The last song on that album was a world-weary tune called "New York, I Love You but You're Bringing Me Down." Several writers remarked then that lead singer James Murphy sounded oddly like Kermit the Frog on that song — no offense, but he really did! And now, over a year and a half after the album came out, someone has gone ahead and made a video for "New York, I Love You..." starring Kermit the Frog himself, which is taking the Web by storm, of course. Voila:
If you watch to the end (which you should), you'll see that James Murphy, good sport that he is, is on board with this. Brilliant, isn't it?
