I completely agree with the genius who wrote this.

Twilight sucks. End of story. Eveything about it is totaly unrealistic, Bella is a whiny Mary-Sue, Edward has no personality and Renessmee is the stupidist name ever created. The book is a total waste of time and has the language of a 12-year-old, and the movie was a piece of cr*p. 'Nough said.

I agree w/ both sides of the spectrum...
When I first read the whole series like a couple years ago when it was first new--it seemed like twilight became more popular when the movie itself come out. I remember seeing TONS of people reading it all over the school, people that thought people who hated vampires, reading them too!! And I remember going back home and opening up the book and reall wondering why it was so good. Don't get me wrong the orginality was good and the intense chemistry, but other than that I really didn't see alot beside the intense factor. Especially in new moon when she's so completely devastated over a guy she merely met not too long before. I mean as a teenager in a way, I think SM kind of far fetched that part.
And the movie?
I was disappointed mainly with Kristin. She said she was so looking determined to make this right for her fans and yet the whole time she acts all down and not eve 'Bella'
But maybe that's just me. Anyways it was an original story.

I am not a teenager, but I understand why many people (especially teengagers) are getting crazy about it: at least the story make us keep dreaming about some ideal love, may be unrealistic, but that is the thing right, you dont dream about things you have...and dreaming sometimes is a good thing to do, I guess. I did not like the movie at all. I am never going to read the books either. If you are a guy and have read the books then you have some problems with you. On a scale 1 to 10, the acting was a 5, Rob's looks are 3, and Kristen's acting is a 2. She did so terrible. This movie is one of the most terrible films I've ever seen! I can make a movie better than Twilight! All together, the movie earned a 4 out of 10. It Just SUCKED!!!

Ok... I liked the twilight books alot but the movie sucked. they didnt put in important parts that tied into new moon and they didnt follow the book well at all. it was very jumpy and bella looked like she had a stick up her butt the whole time. They could have made the whole movie better... Catherine Hardwick screwed it up big time. I work at a video store and am about ready to go postal at all the Twilight hype. When I watched t he movie, I laughted so hard I thought I was going to have a heart attack. This movie is the most ridiculous thing I've ever seen. The obviously unhealty portrail of love was one of the most disturbing things I've seen in a movie in quite some time. I do not want the 14 year olds of the world to think that this intense "I'll follow you around and keep an eye on you" and "yeah, I was watching you sleep before I even really knew you" love is at all healthy. The oddly instant "love" of Edward and Bella seemed to strike a chord in women who seek a protective father figure. No wonder it is so popular with little girls who don't know what romantic love is and middle aged women who just want to be taken care of.

Tamara, I made a promise to my niece that I would read the series with her. She recently discovered reading so I thought I would join her on this journey. After reading the first book and doing some research on Meyers, I saw where she was going with the series and had a talk with both my sister and my niece about what she was reading and how she shouldn't take the (religious) underlining story to heart. I plowed through the rest of the books just so I could keep my promise to her. I wanted to stop many times. I even ended up tossing the last two books across the room several times.

There is no growth to these books, there is no real challenge to the books because Bella gets what she wants without facing any consequences for her actions. The Love triangle is sloppy, the continuity and editing of the series was horrid. Also I think you could cut each book half and still tell the same story.

I found the above review to be spot on. It has nothing to do with it not being like the book. If that was the case the movie would have been a 1000 times worse. No one in the history of the world would write and try and make people believe that Edward is a virgin and that he has been waiting for Bella. The only way this works is if you get the underlining point of the books and the movies. THIS IS A MORMON movie/book series. It is disguised in vampire goth and clumsy girls, but it is most certainly an attempt by and author to sneak her religion into the minds of impressionable young women. There is NOTHING to this series, there will be NOTHING in the movies. NOTHING happens other then Bella never listens and she gets everything she hopes for. I mean at least JK Rowlings had the courage to give us a gay headmaster and the real life consequences of what happens when there is a struggle for what is right and wrong. Meyers gives us a baby with a screwed up name and shiny skin. Thanks >:(

This is really hilarious. I love twilight, personally, but this is still kinda funny. Funny partially because of the writing style, a bit of the facts incorporated, and mostly just because this guy is such a man's man. Who WAS your date, Mr. Macho? Hope you didn't tell HER how much you apparently loved the film she probably awaited for half a year, like the rest of us. as a lover of twilight and the wife of not one, not two, but four of the characterrs in the stori, i hav to say that anyone who does not like twilght is a monster. A heartless, egocentric, chauvinist PIG!!!! just because the stories show true love, yes love, not lust, does not mean that its not a good movie. And if it was such a terrible movie then some people should explain to me why twilight was the number one ranking movie in america for 3 weeks traight? if it was such a terrible movie people would have heard about how terrible it was and not gone to see it so many times. If it was so terrible, then some people also need to explain why teenage girls all over the world are throwing themselves into it som much! it gies girls and guys everywhere a hope that there is true love out there. All girls would love, kill, and die, to find their Edward Cullen! Stephenie Meyer gave people something to belive in and just because you're a stupid jerk doesnt mean people have to agree with you!

As a happily married-had several successful relationships-grown woman (Savannah you need to get out more), I can say that I have thoroughly enjoyed this series of stories. That said, no one without ovaries should be exposed to any of the Twilight books. It really would be mean.

I read all the books and I enjoyed them but I don't get why the movies are so over-hyped. I think they are more hyped than the Harry Potter movies (which I also like). Example: why does EW still have a 'special' "Twilight" button at the top of the page when the info isn't anything new? That's somewhat irritating. Just my thoughts.
