Nene is ghetto and that is not keeping it real. Mother Theresa kept it real and was not ghetto. Get my point. Being loud, scary, and aggressive is not keeping it real. Overall the show is fascinating to watch because of the sheer level of fakeness, sel-centered-ness of thess middle-aged women, thinly veiled jealousy, and delusions of grandeur. None of these women were born into wealth, yet they work soooooo hard to try to convince viewers that they grew up in opulence. Give me a break.

KUDOS to everyone for observing and keeping it real. NeNe is GHETTO and insecure, talking about everyone behind their backs. Lisa played herself, DeShawn needs to stop it and bring something to her relationship other than showing how she can spend the money up. Kim, is a liar, but she did not let NeNe PUNK her, who cares if she has a weave. Sheree, though she can tone down the DIVA, I love her. She just retaliated to what was given to her by NeNe who obsessed with what NeNe was doing and calling her names. In addition, NeNe was suppose to be against violence, but she was ready to fight instead of getting her point across with a little dignity and respect. She herself has a weave, was a stripper, has a old man aka a sugar daddy. People in GLASS houses should not throw stones.

I pray there is not a season 2 to this mess. When I first tuned in I thought it was a sit-com and when I realized they were serious I stopped watching. Anyone with any class would not be watching these low class wannabes. I cannot stomach these women who laid on their back for a few minutes and living off their men or ex-men and calling themselves high class. They are not people I would have my children look up to.

Some argue that's not news, well if it was Brad Pitt or Angelina in such situations people would put them on blast. So what makes NeNe so different, she was "supposed to represent the ELITE of Atlanta". What happened?

I LOVED the show and reunion. This was real, real, real. And just like the other "Housewives" some you like, some you don't and others...they just need to disappear completely.

Nene was my fav because she's is the real deal. I could hang with this chick here.

Lisa rode the fence too much for me. Yeah, I think she does the peacemaker thing too much...I like to make a stand, right or wrong, and ride it out. So...Sheree or NeNe. You can't have both.

Sheree...I wished she'd toned down the pretension and been real. I mean, Laurie on Orange county was a broke single mother and Tammy on last season was also, so actually having money isn't a necessity to be on these shows.

DeShawn- gone and flaunt what you want to flaunt. However many staff you think you want, deserve and can afford...do the damn thing. I'd do the same and so would anyone else in your shoes.

Kim...this is a great lesson: "Loose lips sink ships". One thing about adultery...you hush about the details.

I don't know why it bothers me so much, but Kim trying to even say 30? She couldn't get away with the 20's and makes the assumption for everyone else that women in their 30's (anywhere in their 30's) just look so old that no one would question it. It's insulting!
There is no way she is 30, there is no way she is under 39. Here's a good comparison, Gretchen on OC Housewives says she's 30 (I don't know if I believe that one either). They both get botox - who looks older? Kim of course, and by A LOT. Start comparing 30 year olds to Kim, compare 35 year olds to Kim, compare 40 year olds to Kim and you'll see for yourself that Kim has to be 39-40.

Let's face it! We watch the show for entertainment, and entertaining it is! NeNe is by far my favorite. Although, I have to admit that she can be a bit brash and have foot in mouth disease at times. However, she is real and her honest vulnerabilities make her likeable. I don't know what the big deal is about Kim's wigs though. Look at it, NeNe wears a weave, DeShawn wears a weave, Sheree has worn extensions.....so what! I guess the fact that Kim's wig look ridiculous could be the reason. Sheree reminds me of a sneaky snake....all of a sudden you are face to face with the deadly ceature. I think Kim is going to regret her alliance with Sheree. I like Lisa also although I knew she was the one who told Kim what NeNe did in the limo...who knows after she did it she probably hid her face under the table cloth and did that girlish giggle....again! Anyway, loved the show....so far no other housewives compares. Hoping for another season!

I grew to be intrigued by the show. I do find it interesting that both NeNe and Lisa got violent when speaking to Kim, yet they are collaborating on a book concerning domestic violence. I think they both need anger management courses. I think Deshawn (who seems very kind) probably has the most class. She kept her mouth shut and did not spread the garbage around. All in all it was very entertaining.

I was really happy when the ATL was going to be shown, then I stared watching the show. Sheree and Kim always saying that they have class. Class is something that others see in you. Sheree - silent and deadly friend. She likes Kim because she doesn't see a threat. He hates NeNe because she is bigger than life and doesn't require the budget or the superficialness to be notices. When NeNe walks into a room you automatically knows she's there and I think Sheree is intimated by her mere presences. Sheree you are very insecure and very dangerous, neither of which is hide very well. Kim be careful!

Kim - I understand the need to fit in but you might want to re-evaluate your route with Sheree. I have a strong feeling that one will come back to bite you.

See....I don't think people would make such a big deal out of Kim's weave or wig if it looked decent. But with the amount of money she is spending on her daughters party, she can get a decent weave. A good weave doesn't cost that much. But her wig is ridiculous. And it has nothing to do with how accepted it is or not in the black community. If you see Beyonce or Gabrielle Union, with a bad weave, doesn't make it anymore accepted than Kim's weave. Black or not...it's the weave.

I wish people would stop thinking that just because someone is black certain things like weaves are automatically identified with them.

NeNe was straight ghetto and embarassing. Her mouth is crude and she is violent (so much for heading the foundation against violence and abuse of women). DeShawn should be ashamed of flaunting the spending of so much money when this country is going through an economic crisis and hundreds of thousands of people have lost their jobs this year alone! Her excess seemed obscene (and not very smart considering her husband would not have that big money contract forever). Kim seemed to try initially to be a good friend to NeNe. On the show she was an easy target and she was right to ask NeNe to stop disrespecting her in front of her kids. On the last episode, NeNe's husband Greg should have told his wife to shut up rather than preaching to the rest of the group. She was the only one acting up. On the reunion show, you see that Lisa and NeNe never jumped on Sheree like they did Kim. Lisa and NeNe both have skeletons in their closet (who doesn't?) so why be so judgmental of Kim?

I think Lisa is a trouble maker. If anyone noticed, she never denied saying she told Kim. She used a diversion tactic by verbally jumping on her. Kim was too specific about when Lisa talked to her about the phone call. If Lisa can laugh about Kim calling Nene a dragqueen, why couldn't she tell Kim about what Nene said? And further more, why didn't she address Sheree? Or why didn't Nene adress Lisa for laughing when Kim called her a dragqueen? Lisa was clearly lying.

Consider when viewing Reality TV:

1. A reality TV show is just that -- a show. It's strictly "made" for our "entertainment," not to empower or enlighten us.

2. The castmates are real people. Some nice, some not. Some with agendas (good/bad, revealed/hidden), others just trying to enjoy the experience. They're prone to make mistakes and act in ways that under normal circumstances they may not have. They sound like you and me -- HUMAN.

3. Be conscious of editing. All productions require editing. However, when it comes to Reality TV, editing is especially designed to elicit the most drama (true or not) which translates into repeat viewers and increased advertising dollars for the network. Take note of castmate interviews. Keep track of clothes, hair styles, and even the background. They're often out of sync. When you notice this, the okie doke is in progress!

Don't let uuber rich network execs get you hyped up & "believing" their "productions" -it's "entertainment.

I enjoy the HOUSEWIFE'S shows. How come in Atlanta you could not find more married couples? There is a difference in being a MOM and a housewife. I think Deshawn captures the reality of a professional sport star's wife. My hat is off to Deshawn and her husband for surviving the fame and fortune with love and respect. Sheree' is using her own money LOL that her husband gave her from his career to start her own fashion line. Definitely a case where one forgot where they came from.

I have one more comment about Sharee. When Sharee was having her birthday party and she looked right at the cameras and said that NeNe was not left off the guest list on purpose, she gave a little smirk and smile. I think we all knew what that meant, and NENE had every right to be angry. Also if that was my party, and my security wasn't letting one of my friends in, I would have personally gone to the door and invited her in and apologized for the so-called error. For her to continue to ignore it when her assistant told her and she knew they were at the door trying to get in, is just tacky and classles. It shows what kind of person she is.

I didn't see the whole episode of the reunion show, but I did get to see clips. The story I understand is that Kim is accusing Lisa of calling her and telling herself about NeNe making fun of Kim's singing. However, we all know that is not true. It was on an episode where Sharee told Kim about NeNe making fun of her in the limo. We all figured it out it had to be Lisa who told Sharee, because Deshawn wouldn't, and at that time Lisa and Sharee were tight. Lisa is telling the truth, she told a friend she thought she could trust, but this friend turned around and told Kim breaking Lisa's trust and loyalty. Kim is changing up the story, because she doesn't want to get Sharee in trouble. However, we all saw it, and we all know that Sharee told Kim first, because Kim seemed very shocked by it. Also, why didn't Sharee stick up for Kim when she said she had proof and Sharee was there. Instead she sat their like a stick in the mud.

I began watching TRHA because Bravo dared to air life in the fab Black lane of Atlanta's rich and famous. Despite some scandalous interaction familiar to most of us, I finally saw something that unites the ladies. They've encountered abuse of some kind - emotional, physical, monetary - it's the tie that binds them. They're basically new money women carrying around the same baggage many of us carry broke. Each lady deals with her pain differently. Nene is tough, she survived and is not taking any shorts anymore; she's forever on the lookout. Sheree is going to have financial freedom at any cost and will pursue her unfulfilled dream. Lisa is going to get hers too, on her own terms without a beatdown. Kim, poor thing, has such low self esteem. Her full story is yet to be told. Oh yeah, she may be scandalous but she hurts so bad. She'll keep slipping up until she sees her girls mock her moves and pain. Deshawn, she's just fine and is everyone's friend trying to keep the peace. Luv ya gals!

Okay, I saw the show for the first time yesterday and watched the last six episodes and the reunion show. Here is what I observed:

Kim, if you must spend Big Pappa's money, please buy yourself a business or land - something that can support you and your children when it's over between you and the mystery man. Please show a driver's license or quit trying to make everyone believe you are 29 years old! No one cares if you wear a wig or a weave but, buy quality. Please, please quit wearing short dresses - with all due respect, you don't have the legs for it. Please quit saying you want to be your children's friend. That will come later, after you teach them to be ladies, to be thankful for what they have and certainly after you give them a reason to respect you! That is your job as a mother. And if Briel does not seemed pleased to have thousands of dollars dropped on a birthday round of parties - perhaps it's is not what she wants.

So interesting to me how so many people call NeNe 'real.' So real is being friends with someone for 4 years or more and then making fun of them behind their back? If NeNe was so real, she would have asked Kim to sing for her and make comments to her face. As for Lisa... she got so upset because she got busted. She appeared to try and be a peacemaker in the group during the finale, but only because she was the reason for the blow up! Lisa told Sheree about NeNe's limo song; Sheree told Kim; Kim called Lisa for verification; Lisa verified. Then Lisa even admitted on the show that she owed NeNe an apology because she did let the cat out the bag! This season did show Kim's loyalty to Nene(Mentioned in other postings). Nene trashed her dream of becoming a country singer, while in the limo and numerous times to "Dwight" everytime they got together. Even tonight Nene rolled her eyes, chuckled and even voiced her unwelcome opinion again about Kim's singing and choice in men.
With friends like her, who needs enemies. What Nene hasn't figured out is, no matter how much you disapprove of your friend's choices and dreams--you don't make fun of them or call them"trash boxes" or a "trashy hooker" on national TV.

For any confused about why Lisa snapped at Kim, the editing eliminated the reason. Kim and Sheree had been invited on the set of a Demi Moore filming and Kim mean-spiritedly joked that Lisa didn't lost custody of her children with Keith Sweat because she was a "crack ho." I'm hoping that watching herself will help Kim to phase into the adult world, because, I really believe she will be a great adult. In defense of Lisa, I think she explained her role in the Kim/Nene blowout with candor. She said, she had NOT been Kim or Nene's friend, and since Sheree was her girl, she told Nene about the hilarity in the limo. I mean, that rings true. I think Kim is a liar, and heard it second-hand from Sheree, never from Lisa. Lisa did try to keep the peace, and she seems like a genuinely warm person. She's got an edge that makes people uncomfortable, but, I generally came away with a positive impression of her as a lady. She's a pistol. Kim's lies knew no bounds. Anyone who says they "NEVER" lie is a pathological liar. That's the hallmark of a liar, anyone who vigorously defends their 100% truthfulness. There are moments when Kim is very likeable too, warts, wigs and all. My biggest beef with her is she sets women back a century with her courtesan kept woman bravado of entitlement and amorality. She is a horrible mom. Bad role model. But she made the show, too.

In regards to “Jenn Boogies” comment, you’re right, Lisa gossiped just as much (if not more) as everyone else on the show. I would never try to put my friend (of 3yrs.) in an awkward situation like that. Where’s the LOYALTY in that??? It’s like she wanted the DRAMA. As for the race card, there’s a common (yet untrue) stereotype that “black people” only eat chicken, watermelon and drink “Red” Kool-Aid. So out of all the things to say, she chose chicken. Hair can fall out with malnutrition, stress, just about any illness that stresses you out or depletes reserves - the body figures hair is expendable. I couldn't eat properly for 2-3 months with just a UTI (initially had trouble keeping anything down, then the antibiotics made me nauseated and promoted vomiting) plus I couldn't swallow supplements. Once I was better, I started shedding worse than the cats as new growth pushed out the dead hair. Never went totally Kojak, but it was awfully thin for quite some time. My hair was previously long (mid-back), but took a year to get back to shoulder length (1/2 inch per month). So anything that caused weight loss (even just emotional stress) could have done the same to Kim. Must have been very scary for someone so focused on the external. Probably the person who suggested it could be cancer (not likely a doctor!) was trying to scare her into getting medical treatment.

Gotta say one more thing...who the hell cares that Kim has a hairpiece. They're all over the place. Everybody on the show has fake hair...especially NeNe's shorter, but fake, wig. Just because you shorten the length doesn't make it real. The only potential suspect for real hair is Lisa. She mentioned that she's half oriental and half black, so MAYBE her roots are real. I'd bet she's working with extension too. Either way, greater than half the folks on TV have weave. Why are singling you all out Kim?

Honestl & realistically, Sheree and Kim (despite how phony they behave together) are 100% right about NeNe...fashion and NeNe do not belong in the same sentence, unless it's ghetto fabulous fashion.
NeNe,you want to voice your own opinion, whenever and to whomever. That's fine; however, give the same respect to others. You can talk but we don't have to listen and, for sure, we don't have to agree. When someone objects to "your opinion" you're ready to fight. That's a sign of your insecurity and lack of maturity. I'm keepin' it real. You need better control of your emotions and the english langueage. And, after what you said about being innocent daughter insofar as it relates to your relationship with Curtis, same thing to you, my friend. Kim's daugthers came to regard you as family and you found no more mature means of communications than to talk loud and disrepect their mother in their presence.
You need introspection, NeNe, for sure.

at least they don't make up health crisis to get sympathy to cover up the fact that you are with a married man who pays for you and your bratty girls to live the high life and dang if he has that much money $$$$ he should find someone who does not look like a cheap knock off drag queen.UGH and the sheman Kim can not sing you should see my dogs howl at the TV when she sings yoouuuuuu yoooooouuuuuu oooooooooooohhhhhhhhhhh

PS I did have an survive cancer and when you have cancer your hair does not start to fall out and you do not lose weight otheriwse people with cancer would be diagnosed a lot sooner...you lose your hair and lose weight WHEN you start chemotherapy and only THEN so what ever doctor friend gave her that self diagnosis must be a high priced hooker without a doctor's degree because that information is SO FALSE and I can not believe no one uncluding Andy caught that and called her out on it??? and those tears were so dang fake she just wanted to show the world her million dollar watch and her canary diamond ring Big Papa bought her for her sharing her nasty p***y with him she is just a LIAR and it is not nice to play the cancer card when a lot of people including me truly battled cancer.

Kim is fake and a liar. She cannot sing and Dallas never said she could. He always kinda of walked around it and let Kim hear her voice and come to own conclusions herself. All of the woman talked trash. period. But Kim played both sides, at least Sheree and NeNe are upfront about disliking each other and knowing they dont get along. I think things got worse with Kim came in the mix. Lisa-love lisa! And she said those things to Kim, because Kim had said behind her back, that Lisa has two other kids (which is true), but said she had lost custody of her two other kids because she was a crack whore. This got back to Lisa, who was really pissed. This was not explained at the reunion. Lisa has two other kids with Keith Sweat, but he did not sign a waiver to let them be filmed, so it looks like Lisa has only one kid.
