PopWatch Previewer: Halloween edition

I really want to see Trick 'r Treat-I love cheesy, campy horror flicks right around Halloween! It's a nice balance to the actual scary stuff I watch annually! Besides with that cast, how can you lose? :)

I have been waiting for Trick R Treat since last year when it was supposed to come out. Why can't they just put it out directly to dvd? Also, what's wrong with campy halloween movies? Some of the best ones are campy.
Plus, if Dylan Baker and Brian Cox are in it, then you know you're going to have a pretty good time.

Ugh, The Uninvited is seriously pissing me off. A Tale of Two Sisters is a GREAT film, and it looks as though they've completely ruined it. ATOTS had subtlety and depth, this just looks like some loud, dumb run of the mill horror flick.

Okay, I'm really pissed off about "The Uninvited." That's because I've been following the production of that movie for a while; it was supposed to be a remake of the Korean film "A Tale of Two Sisters," which is one of the best, creepiest horror films I've ever seen. Now it looks like they've just taken all the best parts of "Sisters" and shoehorned them into a completely different story. That makes me angry... I hope the filmmakers get haunted by all the spirits of the original fans' hopes and dreams, which they just murdered.

What is the deal with Elizabeth Banks lately? She is in every movie. She does seem to be doing a variety of different genres, but I hope she doesn't get too overexposed.

Raven_Moon is right,

They all look terrible. "The Unborn" looks particularly terrible. It actually looks like a parody of a horror movie trailer, only it's not. Somebody get Gary Oldman out of there! At least Trick r Treat looks like it's good for some (intentional) laughs.

Then there's "The Other End of the Line", which basically summarized the entire movie in the trailer. They also used a third-rate movie trailer guy voice, which is usually a sign your movie sucks.
