How much would I have to pay you to display this crystal skull in your home?

Crystalskull_l I just got a press release about tomorrow's DVD release of Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, and apparently Best Buy is offering a "gift set with replica crystal skull from Sideshow Collectibles and a $25 gift card to Sideshowcollectibles.com." Add two zeroes to that figure (and make it cash), and yeah, I could find a spot on my mantelpiece for the hideous noggin. You?

It was my pleasure to visit your Website. I am also very Website you enjoy the article. And I also have the feeling that it was really a pity that we didn’t meet each other earlier. Because the kindness and warmth in your Website can make me completely relaxed and happy. I hope that you will visit my blog too to see if you can have the same feeling.http://www.buynikeshoes.com

I rather have a real crystal skull like the ones for sale at CrystalSkulls.com

Stephanie T. Tue, Oct 14, 2008 at 01:37 PM EST

It looks like Alien. I can picture it on a Halloween night with a glow in the dark stick as a light, being set by a window. I can't picture it on a mantle. It's too creepy.

Snsetblaze Tue, Oct 14, 2008 at 10:35 AM EST

I'd display it for free, especially now, if it was given to me, but I would not buy it.

Rich Tue, Oct 14, 2008 at 08:18 AM EST

That depends, would I be allowed to spray paint rude things about the movie on it?

Andrea Tue, Oct 14, 2008 at 06:56 AM EST

Anything less than $100 a day and I'm "displaying" it on the shelf in my closet!

Lucas and Spielberg can both stick this damn skull where the sun don't shine. ever have a bunch of kids ruin your trilogy???

laura Tue, Oct 14, 2008 at 12:37 AM EST

I would do it for FREE ...

$25,000 and an all-expenses-paid Mediterranean cruise.

Raven_Moon Mon, Oct 13, 2008 at 05:16 PM EST

Whoops! I meant Slezak. Sorry!

Raven_Moon Mon, Oct 13, 2008 at 05:15 PM EST

$2500 sounds good to me, Sleazak! That thing is pretty ugly, though & it would just remind me of how awful the movie was. Honestly, there are much prettier glass or plastic skulls in the world.

egage Mon, Oct 13, 2008 at 04:47 PM EST

How disappointing. Feels like a last ditch sales-pitch to get people to buy a DVD of a movie that was a tragic endcap to an amazing trilogy. Why not offer something from one of the prior three movies -- like a replica fertility statue from Raiders -- at least then people might care.

kyle Mon, Oct 13, 2008 at 03:02 PM EST

I'd rather have the crystal skull in my house than the actual movie! What a let down the ending of Indy 4 way.

aps Mon, Oct 13, 2008 at 01:50 PM EST

it's actually not a bad halloween decoration. if you surround it with other....halloween crap it would be a half decent little piece.

Robert Mon, Oct 13, 2008 at 01:45 PM EST

I'd need to be paid at least five figures to display something that reminds me of that terrible movie in my pop culture-filled home.

Ceballos Mon, Oct 13, 2008 at 01:40 PM EST

*Top 3 items from Indy movies I'd display on my mantle, is what I meant to say.

Ceballos Mon, Oct 13, 2008 at 01:40 PM EST

If I'm going to have a tacky piece of movie memorabilia in my house, I'd at least like for it to be from a good movie.

The Crystal Skull isn't even in the top 3 items I'd display on my mantle.

1. The idol from "Raiders."
2. The fancy/faux Holy Grail from "Last Crusade", which would set me up for multiple "I chose poorly" jokes.
3. The real/humble Holy Grail from "Last Crusade."

Kai- Mon, Oct 13, 2008 at 01:33 PM EST

The skull is okay.... but that stand is horrendous!

t3hdow Mon, Oct 13, 2008 at 01:20 PM EST

At first, I thought you said how much I'd pay for it instead of how much you'd let someone pay me. For the former, I could go as high as $20; which is a little ironic, since it costs more than the movie itself (which, past the first half hour, Indiana Jones and the Crystal Skull was a borefest). But hell, I'd take it for free. Even if the movie wasn't that great, the thing still looks pretty sleek as a decoration piece.

Crystal Mon, Oct 13, 2008 at 01:19 PM EST

$300 a month cash for as long as I had to display it. Gives me the willies!!

Eric Friedmann Mon, Oct 13, 2008 at 12:42 PM EST

The real question is - how much would you have to pay me to even get me to buy the DVD of this bad movie?

paige Mon, Oct 13, 2008 at 12:16 PM EST

this is quite dope! sideshow collectibles rocks but its too expensive... sadly i aint buyint this dvd let alone the gift set
