Beyonce's video actually shows talent. I could throw on a wig, run to different scenes and take my clothes off without singing. That's Britney.

It's really sad that U.S. artists are pitted against each other when there's enough room for everyone. Purchase everyone's albums! Other countries don't do that and we encourage our artists to keep giving us good music (the talented ones anyway). We'd never tell an artist of Beyonce's calibur to "go away". It's disrespectful and unnecessary. Also recognize that Beyonce has more talent in her pinky than all the other artists combined because she can give it to you live just like you're listening to the album and she can dance. To be objective,even though I prefer BS to BK,BK is a way better vocalist than BS and is ever improving vocally.
Dancing wise BK could give BS a runn for her money.
Sales-wise it's unfortunate that BK came out in 2003 at a time when people weren't really buying CDs but globally BS is way more popular and successful.
Rihanna is more successful than BK in terms of singles both in the US and globally.
BK is still more talented.
Womanizer is a bigger hit and I doubt if BK's IF I WERE A BOY and SINGLE LADIES can measure up on the hot 100.

I've not tried to equate sales with talent. I said the numbers substantiate my claim that Britney is the Queen of Entertainment-I said nothing of her necessarily being the most talented. There are artists who I think are musically more talented than Britney and Beyonce, but it's still obvious to me that Britney is the centerpiece of American entertainment. If we stripped everything away Christina Aguilera and Jennifer Hudson would both blow Beyonce out of the water, but that doesn't change the fact that Beyonce is the bigger entertainer. That goes triple for Britney. And yes, there are fans who will purchase multiple copies, I don't see that as being any different than artists who re-release their cds knowing that a certain percentage of people who already bought their album will do so again to make it seem like they've sold alot, and Beyonce is among the desperate artists who've done this. And who cares if she made a vid for all of her tracks? That's no accomplishment.

Her video on MTV has not garnered now 2.4 million views (while Beyonce's is hovering at about 300k views lol) b/c people thought it was going to be a trainwreck. Her song is not no.1 on the billboard charts b/c she's a trainwreck. Britney has always been a figure of interest before, during and after her image troubles. No matter how good or bad she's doing people are more into her-and apparently her music- than any other celeb. Selling records doesn't mean anything? What planet are you from? If you offered a record executive a choice between to artists to sign and said "I have one that is going to be one of the best-selling female artists of all time, and she's going to get a very good amount of awards, and, I have another one who is going to win an onslaught of awards and sell a of very good amount of awards...who do you wanna sign?" The record exec would tell the second artist to hold the door for the first. The one who is going to make them the most money. Britney has done loads more than just lip synch. She has set the performance standard for this generation. The longevity argument remains to be seen. They've both been in the industry about the same amount of time, and so far Britney is still running on more steam. There are loads of artists who could sing better than Britney and Beyonce, and who knows where most of them are now?

-Britney is the 8th best-selling female artist of ALL time. (Beyonce is no where near even the top 10)
-Britney has an album that went diamond. (Beyonce will never have a diamond album, unless she has one customarily encrusted)
-Britney has been selling out arenas worldwide since she was 18, after only 2 years in the industry (Beyonce's first headlining world tour came when she was 25, after a decade in the industry)
-Every award show Britney performs on or attends posts some of it's highest ratings ever (The 2006 VMAs and the 2008 Grammys, where Beyonce was the much-hyped performer posted some of the lowest ratings in the shows' histories)
People are more interested in Britney, and Beyonce will never touch the records she's set.
