Leishahailey_l Good news for those of us who are suffering from early-onset L Word withdrawal, knowing that this winter's season of the Showtime series will be its last. According to Variety, series creator Ilene Chaiken is developing a spinoff, and Leisha Hailey (pictured) has signed on to star in the pilot. No word of what the premise is or what Hailey's Alice will be doing, presumably without the rest of the gang. The new show starts shooting in December, so you'd better start coming up with suggestions now for what Alice should find herself doing -- moving to New York to become a daytime talk show host? Moving to San Francisco to become a social networking website mogul? Moving to Ellen and Portia's house to be the nanny to their (as yet nonexistent) child? Spin your dream scenario below.

J have been watching L Word for some episods of the 3d season, J do not know much about past stories and relationsships of the cast's characters but I really hope the spin off could become a new showtime Leisha is the best and wonderful heir of L Word and she could become at first the nanny of Ellen and Portia's child an then a social networking website mogul, I do bot know where but it could be interesting that sometimes the cast we are used to know/see of L word sometimes appears in some episodes. I really hope the show doesn't come to a definitive end you are witnessing a women's world by this showtime, to stop it could means to to dismantle the L Word message and vanishing everything! Please do not do this.

Is that Leisha Hailey in a Yoplait commercial with 2 other women, all wearing poofy purple bridesmaid dresses?
I just started watching this show on LOGO. I had no idea it would be so soapy - nothing much happens week after week! It's much soapier than QAF was. The characters are all so whiny and annoying. Maybe Alice could wind up in a small town in Middle America where there isn't a whole neighborhood full of lesbians to hang out with and she has to adjust. Kind of like Men In Trees, but gayer. OK, that show was already kinda gay, with the romance between Mario Cantone as a stylist and Buzz's estranged son, but you know what I mean.

She should get a fresh start as a talk show host in Chicago! It's pretty much the antithesis to L.A. but a fantastic backdrop for a show.

I did not watch the show (I don't have the station). But I do remember her from a due call The Murmers and isn't she now in Un Huh Her? I have the Murmers albums. Anyway, maybe she could be a singer trying to make it.

I have no bright ideas but one plea--whatever the premise, keep Shane. That is all.
