George Clooney buys woman new car

Georgeclooney_l What could possibly be better than stalking George Clooney's dinner party? How about getting in a fender bender with the dreamy actor that culminates in him buying you a brand new set of wheels? It's not just my restless Friday fantasy. Recently while in Italy, the Oceans star rear-ended a woman's car, but instead of calling Geico, Clooney shelled out $28,000 to buy her a brand new one! I was pretty jealous until I actually saw a Lancia Ypsilon. I think a few fleeting moments exchanging insurance information and accepting his tender, heartfelt, near-tears apologies, would be worth more to me than this tin can on wheels.

(BTW, am I the only one who's a little worried about Clooney's aptitude behind the wheel? It was less than a year ago that he and then-girlfriend Sarah Larson were involved in a gnarly motorcycle accident. If you need some driving lessons, George, you know who to call. Wink. Wink.)

Italy does not have the disgusting, sick "sue" culture that has been cultivated by sleezy scum sucking tort lawyers. Clooney didn't have to do more than fix the damage, he went the extra few inches to keep things simple, nothing more. 28 grand to Clooney is an equivalent hit to the wallet that the price of a plate of pasta is to the rest of us.
It's those 99% or lawyers that give the other 1% a bad name.

SETTLING FOR A NEW CAR IS ONE THING, IF YOU TAKE IT AND SIGN A RELEASE FORM YOUR CRAZY. I WAS REARENDED AND HAD WHIPLASS. IT IS NO JOKE TO ME I MADE THAT MISTAKE, IT WILL COME BACK TO HAUNT YOU YEARS DOWN THE ROAD. IT CAN BE VERY PAINFULL AND DISRUPT YOUR LIFE,ESPECIALLY WHEN YOU CAN'T WORK.

The Lancia is a very nice looking car (the Europeans have a better sense of style than we do) and Im betting if the car were for sale here in the USA, people would be lining up for it-like they do for the Smart car!

Forgot my "d" on the end of he. Apologies...

With all of the coin that Clooney has, I'd say $28,000 is a little light. If dude were really class, he hook her up with a 7-series BMW or something.

And, Amanda, no one really appreciates or believes name-dropping here. I'm sure that, if your friend really dated Clooney, you're probably not the kind of person that spends time posting to an EW message board. Cheers!!!

His misguided politics and elitism aside, Clooney has a real reputation as a louse to women (and I'm basing this partially on a girlfriend of mine who dates him a few times).

Hey Binky, "WOW"!!! Is it really that serious? LOL. Chill out on the winks, you dont want to scare poor old George.

And your sources are? Clooney denied this story days ago via his publicist Rosenfield days ago. I thought EW was above internet myths and made-up stuff like that but I guess not. Actually there are pap pics that prove Clooney was hundreds of miles away when this was supposed to have happened.

George,
Suggest you hire a driver. It may be more expensive but safer in the long run.

If he ever hit my lambo, I doubt he'd pay. I probably get more action in it than him!! haha

check it out...

I'd *totally* sacrifice a Lancia Ypsilon in a fender bender just to ogle George Clooney up close, to be able to tell him my neck and shoulders are sore, and how I'm *sure* they'll be just fine after a good neck rub (wink, wink) and maybe a good squeeze to pop the kink in my spine. Maybe a little hot tub and a glass of wine to ease my nerves, too, from the surprise of having been rammed from behind.

(Lancia Ypsilon? I'd give up a BENTLEY for a little action from George! You'd be writing about me being one of those fans to whom George said "Hello," or maybe he even just smiled at me, and I fainted.)
