God Bless your soul Bernie Mac. I had a hard time in 2008 and your comedy routines brought laughs to me when I was crying!! I truly thank you for helping me out in a rough time.

Not only did the mac man provide me and my family with entertainment but he also provided us with knowledge. May God continue to bless his family and may they find comfort in knowing that everyone appreciated Mr. Mac not only for his movies but because he kept it real in all aspects of life. We owe you thanks for letting him take time from your family to entertain the world. He will always be missed but he will never be forgotten, his legacy will live forever.

I'm still numb and I can't believe Bernie is gone. I enjoyed his TV show, as well as his stand-up routine. He ranks right up there will Richard Pryor and Redd Foxx. When Redd and Richard died, Bernie was the "Man." He was funnier than Cedric,Steve and Hugley. He was truly a blessed man with a loving wife, daughter and grandchild and a host of other family members. Too,he was grounded; in that he didn't have a swelled head like some of our Black entertainers. To his family, only you knew how sick he really was. But look at it this way, he achieved his ambition to be a great comedian; and that he was. Saint Peter pinned Bernie's wings on him and from that moment on, he was in no pain.

you know when i first heard that Bernie Mac died, i couldn't and wouldn't believe it. it seemed like i knew him personally but i didn't but that jus goes to show how someone can affect another's life. he was a great man and hearing that he died made me cry. i watch his show every night. and it's hard to say good-bye to a great man. you will be missed

I was hurt when I heard about Bernie Mac. I absolutely LOVED his tv show. It was the most authentic take on raising kids in America. His candid demeanor and refreshing conversations made you love him. It almost feels like you've lost a loved one. My most sincere prayers to his family. August 2008, Bernie Mac Dies of Pneumonia. you see theres a little problem with that, the pneumonia killed him but it was AIDS that weakened his immune system and eventually lead to his death. Big Poppa Mac Daddy was known for his "comedy" if you must call it that. i would like to take this time to reflect on the career of Mr. Mac but the harder i think the more i realize that he didn't do anything memorable. his stand up career was littered with jokes that only made sense to people of the same ethnic orientation, which explains why none of them made any sense. on a positive note, well actually this whole event is 1 big positive note. now there is more room for real comedians.

I am so saddened to hear this news, I seldom watch any of the sitcoms these days, most simply try to see how disgusting they can be without getting fined. But Bernie Mac, was like the Cosby's and other high quality shows, I enjoyed watching it very much, it dealt with real life in our time not 30 years ago. The man himself what can be said he like Isaac made his own path, and showed the only thing that can truly keep us down in life is ourselves. may he rest peacefully until we meet again. I truly identified with Bernie because he was so CHICAGO and so OLD SCHOOL. His mannerisms from the hood carried over onto the silver screen. I loved that about him. I was born on the south side of Chicago and I'm still here. I didn't know Bernie personally, but I felt like I did. I'm still very shaken up because of his passing. I LOVE YOU BERNIE. Another big lost to the black community when it comes to african american celebrities. He is one of the ones who kept it real and had a nice smile. I was washing dishes when my brother told me. Nearly dropped the plate was scrubbing. I yelled out "OMG! No way! I don't believe it!" My daughter looked at me and said one word; "Fangirl" She was right. I greatly admire Bernie Mac (still do, his passing has nothing to do with THAT!) and it was distressing to hear he was sick and even worse to hear he had died. Stunned, remorseful, and heartbroken. The man who reminded me of a teddy bear wrapped in a grizzly's personality is gone. He was the coolest and will be missed greatly. RIP, sir.

I saw Bernie at an amusement park a few years ago. When i told him I loved his show he was very nice and said "Thank you, darlin!" He was not a celebrity afraid to talk to his fans at all.

When I saw Bernie Mac in House Party 3, I knew he was going to be a star. he was the funniest person in that movie. I remember him from Def Jam with the Cross Colour outfits. Love ya Mac!

Hello. My name is Phyllis Montana-Leblanc, from New Orleans, Louisiana. I have to say that it broke my heart when I heard about Bernie Mac. It was like someone close in my family passed away. I mean I really couldn't shake it. Until I prayed on it. I will miss him sooooooo much!!!! 50 years young! He gave so much of himself. My prayers and thoughts are with his family and friends. I will never forget him, never! My concern is how does one perish from something that can be treated? I'm still very confused about that part. I just watch one of his reruns I can never get enough of his work,the news devasted not only my self but my family,there's always laughter and tears with every thing he did.My heart is heavy he was a part of my household. I'm saddend to hear about the loss of Bernie Mac. He was a great comedian and seemed like an overall great guy. There is a big void in the world of comedy with his passing. I will always remember when he first appeared on Def Comedy Jam and in the Movie Life...those are my favorite most fondest memories of him.

Seems like it was just a couple of weeks ago I was sitting on the floor of the Dean Doom in Chapel Hill, NC watching The Kings of Comedy work their magic and the funniest man of them all--Bernie Mac was the last comic. We all laughed until we cried!!! OMG he is truly the best comic to come along since Robin Harris. I know they are in heaven trying to one up the other with another joke!!!! Gone too soon...RIP man, no more pain and you don't have to be tired anymore. I love you and miss you!
