Exit Interview with 'Big Brother 10's Ollie

Aug 29, 2008, 04:12 PM | by Lynette Rice

Categories: 'Big Brother', An EW Exclusive!, Reality TV

Brian_l For the record, Big Brother fans, Ollie is his last name and Bryan is his first! Since there was already a Brian in the house, CBS didn't want you to get confused! Wasn't that nice? Now that we've got that cleared up, let's talk to the 27-year-old marketing sales rep from Iowa about how Dan gave him the total shaft. (Also, click here to read my exit interview with last night's other ousted player, Michelle Costa.)

ENTERTAINMENT WEEKLY: So are you willing to admit you got played bigtime?
Bryan Ollie: Uh, I just let my heart get in the way of the game. That was a mistake on my part.

Now that you've had the night to think about it, how do you feel about Dan's game play now?
I don't feel any different than I felt before. Everyone does what they can to make an impact, but his decision could come back and backfire. I could come back to get him.

In retrospect, do you think you should have dangled on that rope a little longer during the HOH competition, or would you have trusted Dan all over again?
If I had to do it all over again, I would make the same deal [Editor's note: What the ??!@@**!?!]. My back was against the wall. I had to do anything I could at that point to gain a little leverage, to turn things around in the game. Obviously, it didn't work in my favor, but in the same situation, I'd do the same thing again [Editor's note: See above].

What did you make of Dan's shrewd decision to wear a hooded jacket to the competition?
I don't think it was a coincidence that he'd show up in a winter coat in the middle of August in California. I don't know if anyone else would think to bring something like that to California. I don't think it was coincidence at all. It definitely played to his advantage.

Did you talk about it with other houseguests?
We talked about it during and after the competition. We were all a little suspicious. It's still a question I'd like to get answered. Meanwhile, I was basically half-naked with a sleeveless shirt.

There had to have been some doubt that you couldn't trust Dan with this deal, right?
I couldn't trust him as far as I could spit after what he did a couple of weeks prior, giving everyone his word he'd send Memphis home and instead sent Jessie. Giving people his word means nothing, especially when he swears on his family, religion, and girlfriend. To bring that kind of shame to his family...

After Michelle was put up for eviction at this week's veto competition, you confronted the others about the deal you made with Dan. After telling them, did you suspect they were in on it, too?
I really don't think everyone was in on it. They may have known parts of it. Dan ran away the second I confronted him. His No. 1 objective was to disappear as fast as possible, and he acted like a coward. If you pull off something like that, at least face me like a man.

Let's talk about April. How is it possible that April would be your first girlfriend? What have you been doing for the last 13 years?
I've been playing the field, that's all, trying to find that perfect fit! She's the perfect girl for me to hang up my cleats for.

You spent a lot of down time with her. Was it easy to forget that the cameras are rolling?
No doubt about it. That was the benefit of having April there. Most of the time we didn't talk about the game. We just liked to get away and enjoy each other's company. She made the days and weeks go by that much faster.

What's the first thing you'll say to her when you see her in the house?
I want to hear her answer to my question: Will she'll be my girlfriend?

A 75-year-old retired Marine and a 53-year-old beauty worker have outlasted you. How does it feel?
I'm not bitter at all if I lose out to a 75-year-old or a 53-year-old. Those two, honestly, have done a good job. A lot of us younger people took them for granted, that they would slide in the game. I think that's part of the reason why they are still there. I hope one of them pulls through to the final two, or even becomes the champion of the season. Memphis, Dan, and Keesha are taking it for granted that Renny and Jerry will self destruct.

Michelle isn't nearly as bad as Ollie and April. Sure she was annoying and an idiot, but those people are a dime a dozen on reality tv. April and Ollie probably ruined their professional careers (unless they go into business for themselves) and embarrassed their families BIG TIME. I do feel bad for April's sister, to have to look like her and be recognized as her twin. Yuck. Fans of Reality TV.com (FORT) interviews everyone too and it will be interesting to read what is said there...

Sammari Mon, Sep 1, 2008 at 01:35 AM EST

Ollie is an idiot. Of course, April being the girl, she will never live it down. She won't have to if she gets into adult films... just saying. Of the people left, I would like to see Keesha or Renny make it. Dan's game was broke and Memphis hasn't done a thing. Ollie's a tool.

Ollie is a fool, to come to a came in hopes of winning a lot of money, & immediately get hot in his panties for April. Ollie is so pathetic, that his real intention was to come on the show for a showmance. When a competition was held where questions were being asked about which former house guest made which comment, and April's wrong answer got her ousted from the competition, Ollie intentionally got the next answer wrong. Only 2-3 words of the next question were asked - that there'd be no way possible to know the answer without hearing the entire question - Ollie immediateley intentionally gave a wrong/any answer to be beside April sitting out. What a fool, he was totally her lap dog. she wouldn't have ruined her chances of winning a competion that could have gotten her farther in the game to sit out just because he was sitting out. Ollie deserved all that he got. His parents should be ashamed of him getting in Libra's face calling her ho just because he was hot in his panties for Apr

Ollie is worried about Dan disgracing his family? hmmm...Least Dan is playing the game and not laying low..and getting laid on National TV six days after he met a stranger. Hmm..I also seem to remember, that because of Ollie, Brian & Stephen, the two most funny and entertaining people of BB, were sent packing because Ollie broke his word and ratted out his alliance so he could be with a bimbo and get some booty. Ollie has to be the worst, dumbest player in BB history. Nobody in America cared about him or April..which is why nobody mentioned them. How many tributes do you see on youtube for them? I haven't see or heard about one being posted. And if there are any out there, had to be a friend or relative who made it because nobody cared about them. Two delusional losers who will never be asked back to BB for allstars or ever be offered a reality tv show to watch what happens when they leave the house like OPRIL thinks. Hahahaha...Made myself laugh that is the biggest JOKE! LOLOL April thinking America would like to watch the OPRIL show. NOT...leave CALIF and hope to never see your butt azz naked bodies slapping each other again. VILE and I feel bad for April's twin and worse, for Aprils DAD and Mother. Ollie your a sore loser and APRIL is so ugly she is trailer trash at it's finest, just the girl you've been waiting for after 13 yrs of playing the field. Hahahahaha. Yeah, right...more like you're so homely with those hats w/those white snake eyes nobody wanted your ugly self. Good riddance! Don't ever show up on my screen again! You were nothing but a piece of fricken furniture hoing it down in front of America with a trailer park AZ ho. bu bye LOSER! Please wear a rubber. You shouldn't reproduce any more scum bags into this world. Thank you.

What a complete waste of a house guest. Thousands of people trying to get on the show and this guy does nothing but get laid by a bimbo and professing his ignorance. He should be charged, not paid, for having wasted everyone's time. April's clock must be ticking fast, how else could she be that desperate? Even as trashy as April is, Ollie has to be a new low for her.

yanni gogolak Sun, Aug 31, 2008 at 03:21 PM EST

this guy is not famous, im tired of seeing him on sites like this, he is a complete nobody and as a matter of fact should be on

Claudia Sun, Aug 31, 2008 at 11:44 AM EST

What a delusional idiot! Can't stand this guy. I think that both Ollie and Michelle will read all the comments about them and still won't believe that they are idiots and sore losers. They will think that all of the Big Brother viewers were "plants" and were made to say such negative things about them. OMG I am so glad those two are gone, and will join the other loser April.

donna Sun, Aug 31, 2008 at 09:20 AM EST

what the**** he'd do it again.we are to learn from our mistakes..he didn't.dan is playing the game.did he really think dan would stand by his word on the hoh and let him call all the shots.in the game you will say or do anything to make it to the end..

mac Sun, Aug 31, 2008 at 06:54 AM EST

he is still an idiot.run, april, run

LPV Sun, Aug 31, 2008 at 01:41 AM EST

I can't believe Ollie took this opportunity to look like even more of a moronic ass.

Ocean Sat, Aug 30, 2008 at 11:58 AM EST

Well, that comment the interviewer (Lynette Rice?) made to Manchelle about Renny being a salon owner MIGHT prove problematic IF and only if we choose to rely on Manchelle's listening skills. That lame nutcase hears what she wants to hear - and THAT is first filtered through her shorted out brain. Renny made it clear she was a hairdresser, so that b!ch is talking her usual trash on Planet Michelle.

Kwani Sat, Aug 30, 2008 at 06:09 AM EST

CBS censors all the questions asked of the jurors, which is why no one has been able to ask.

Miss M Sat, Aug 30, 2008 at 03:30 AM EST

No matter what happens Dan got $20K and Ollie got nothing, which is exactly what he deserves. EW may not want to question him about what happened on the live feeds but You Tube is doing it for us. I still don't understand why BB didn't throw Ollie out of the house immediately after all the destruction and verbal threats and abuse to the other HG's. It's a game d-bag! A game you never played. Dan's been the only one playing since Day 1. Good riddance.

KP Sat, Aug 30, 2008 at 12:26 AM EST

There must something in the house that wipes out people's short term memories. It never ceasess to amaze me when an evicted house guest says "I never lied", "I never did anything underhanded", "I was totally honest the whole time I was in the house", "I never said anything bad about anyone", and so on and so on. Along with their own actions they seem to forget that 100s of people are watching them 24/7 and can testify to exactly everything they did and said.

Beth Fri, Aug 29, 2008 at 09:43 PM EST

They all are angry at Dan for voting out Jesse and saying he didnt keep his word when Dan was voting what America wanted..and for him to say he would do it again..just shows us how he does not learn from past mistakes.

Carolyn Fri, Aug 29, 2008 at 08:51 PM EST

Ollie forgot he was playing a game. He betrayed Dan in week one. Ollie was Dan's alliance. Ollie is the TRADER. Ollie got what he deserved out the door. Dan just stayed calm and played the game. Ollie won nothing... HaHa Ollie Bye Bye. We American's LOVE DAN!!!!

kimberly Fri, Aug 29, 2008 at 07:38 PM EST

what a loser! he is clueless. memphis told him in so many words that they knew what Dan was up to. yet, he still believes they didn't know. and the comment about Dan should be ashamed... becoming a porn star in front of millions of viewers must be a major embarrassment for his Preacher father. he is such an idiot! good riddance

Gail Fri, Aug 29, 2008 at 07:32 PM EST

Why do people keep calling Jerry a "retired Marine"? He was a Marine for four years. That's not long enough to qualify for retirement. I think his emotional attachment to the Marine Corps is a bit sad. As for Ollie, he admits that he and April kept themselves apart from the group and the game, so how could he expect to win it? You have to play to win.

Sara Fri, Aug 29, 2008 at 07:27 PM EST

He's delusional. Wow.

SJ Fri, Aug 29, 2008 at 06:28 PM EST

I think its inteesting that no journalists ask Ollie or April about their having sex in front of the cameras and basically starting in internet porn or confronting Ollie on his 'high morals' and then saying suck my d-ck you little f-g-t to Memphis. Its like both CBS on their onair show and the interviewers are insulting us viewers.

Whirledpeas Fri, Aug 29, 2008 at 05:24 PM EST

Actually... "under" the sheets is a bit of an overstatement. Ahem. Just sayin.

Tom Brazelton Fri, Aug 29, 2008 at 03:43 PM EST

Dan brings shame to his family by swearing on their names, but Ollie has the moral high ground because he forgot the cameras were rolling while he rolled around under the sheets with April? Whatever gets you through the night, you classless moron!

Sarah Fri, Aug 29, 2008 at 03:38 PM EST

"To bring that kind of shame to his family..."
ahahaa what an ironic statement coming from Ollie...
