At stepheniemeyer.com watch several different trailers from the movie, including a good trailer on the "making-of" the movie. Also, if you rent the movie Penelope, you can see a whole different trailer. Unfortunately, this one shows a scene that absolutely never happened in the book, but is still good.
Also at stepheniemeyer.com, you can read the first chapter of Midnight Sun, which as you probably know, is the telling of Twilight from Edward's point of view. I loved it, found it fascinating.
As far as the casting of the movie goes, I thought Kristen Stewart was a great choice for Bella, because she's pretty in an understated, real person sort of way. (Watch her in the Lifetime Movie "Speak"; she is an incredible actress!) As for Edward, I also pictured him completely different.
About the film itself- realize it may feel like a "watered-down" version if you've read the book and have all that extra story info. in your head. I think it will still be good.

I'm very excited for the movie-even if it doesn't give Twilight the justice. Movies never do. But what really does upset me is 1) Edward could've been picked better. 2) Rosalie isn't as pretty as she should be. 3)The actors need to be "in" to the characters. 4) The list goes on. But either way I'm excited for the movie-I'm getting sick of seeing the trailers over and over again. I read Breaking dawn a couple of weeks ago and I enjoyed it. Cou;d have been better-but I'm still glad anyway that bella chose Edward-he's perfect in everyway. Go Edward!

i cannot wait for this movie to come out, me and my friends are obsessed with all of the books... and edward of course. robert pattinson is soooo HOT and hes perfect for playing edward. If you are dedicated to the books, then obviously the movie is going to suck.......it is going to be ALOT cheesier than the books, I know that going into the movie if I decide to see it, so I won't let myself get too disappointed. I just finished Breaking Dawn and the characters have become a part of my life for the last month, so whomever they pick won't be good enough! Bella's not bad, but I don't find Robert attractive. But, then again, at the beginning, I was rooting for Jacob anyway!

I'm not going to say I loathe the trailer, but it's..it's much worse than I had expected. As for the casting, I think it would be almost impossible to find a perfect Edward. But Bella? Bella isn't supposed to look like that..at least not in my mind. They picked out this gorgeous, flawless actress to play her, and she was not supposed to be that way. And Rosalie..is not pretty enough at all. Bella is hotter than her. Come on! From the clips available online, the acting looks pretty lame and..well, I don't think they could have completely satisfied me even if they tried. Movies rarely do the books justice. Nevertheless, I am still totally stoked for December 12th. Can't wait.

Well, this trailer is far superior to the first one. I'm still not 100% sure that I'll like the movie compared to the book, but I'm still excited to see it.

Now, I know everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but the people being flat-out rude regarding Robert and Kristen need to take into consideration the fact that the casting directors -- and Stephenie Meyer, herself -- are very satisfied.

Funny how depending on when you start the book decides how you like the actors and actress's in the book. I absolutely love all of the people who were chosen, maybe cause I watched the Trailers after the 1st one, but I think they did a great job and I just can not get enough of Robert or Kristen, I think they are perfect!

ok well "Edward" and "james" both look like pretty good vamps. but james seemes like he should be MORE beautiful and more pale. ALL vamps r supposed to be inhumanly beautiful...even the bad ones. Robter's acting for Edward is as good as it can get i think cuz since we dont know EXACTLY wat edward is thinking, it has to be hard to get in the mindset. but Kristen "Bella" is all wrong acting. Bella should be much more timid and unsure. Kristen's acting is more bold and straight-forward. when bella says "i'm only afraid of loosing you" in the book she is VERY timid becuse even though that is the truth, she is afraid of edward being angry at her cuz she knows that he thinks the way she feels about him is wrong. so in the book she is not completely sure that she SHOULD say it...but here in the movie Kristen says it like she knows how she feels, but she also knows that he feels the same way, whick is not entirely true.

I think Kristen will do fine, I like her acting in previous movies and well, we can sum up Rob in one word: HOT. The movies are never as good as the books, but they can still be good. haha.. Man I want them to prove me wrong but this is going to blow.. I wouldnt blame the actors because the cast was creative even if it wasnt spot on and it had potential. Bella could have easily had a much "clutzier" choice but still potential. From what I have seen the possible future failure of this movie will be placed in the hands of the writers, producers, and the god awful director.. And the bad trailers can be blamed on the editors. =P

I really hate how people are critasizing Kristen. Some people say she has no emotion at all in any of the movies she has made. If she's such a bad actress, then why is she being ranked as the new Jodie Foster?? I think she's the perfect Bella. And I don't think the movie is going to be cheesy at all. I totally agree with you. I want more, too. Some people are angry that they are adding scenes that weren't on the book like the field trip scene Catherine mentioned. I personally think it's going to be really cool to see different scenes in the movie. The movie is going to be BASED on the book, no one said that the movie was going to be exactly like the book. One of my friends didn't like Rob as Edward at first, but she was still totally exited about the movie. I think she likes Rob now after watching these trailers. Like I said, Mandy you are completely right, either you accept the movie as it is and be thankful that they are even making a movie at all and appreciate all the hard work the actors and the crew are doing to make this movie possible, or just don't watch the movie at all. Again, this is my personal opinion. BTW, I LOVE ROB!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh my gosh!! I lovedt it!! It's PERFECT! Kristen and Robert make the perfect Bella and Edward. I'm reading some of these comments and I'm kind of pissed off. Kristen is pefect. She's just like I pictured Bella. We can't just not like her because of her voice. I never imagined Bella with a high girly voice. There's nothing wrong with Kristen's voice. And we really can't judge her acting skills by two TEASER trailers. I repeat: TEASER trailers. I've seen Kristen act in other movies and I think she's an amzing actress. Again, this my opinion. BTW, Rob is SO hot!!!!!!!!!! And Cam and Edi are AMAZING!!!! And I love the glimpse we got of Charlie. Again I loved it!!!!!!

Okay, so, im still deciding if i want to see the movie or not because im really afraid that it will demolish the pictures in my head. I honostly think that they could have found better people to play the parts. I dont think it will be a bad movie, i just think that the fans have such high standards and expectations for it, that it will be a let down. It almost seems like they were trying to make it cheap, like if you really pay attention. And also, They did change scenes. I dont understand why its so hard to not stick to the original. If you read the book, everything is pretty much already there, all the lines, settings, feelings, actions. I do like this one better than the last one, especially cuz rob doesnt do that creepy face in this one lol :] but yeah those are my feelings.

I scanned through some of the comments and saw complaints and then "omg can't wait". People are saying Rob ruined the movie. But like other's I'm saying...everyine had Edward pictured differently in their heads...as with Bella. I had Bella pictured completely differently then Kristen. My friend doesn't like Kristen as an actress but she's still going to see the movie. I think it all comes down to...either you'll see the movie or you won't. Some people don't want their picture they had in their head to be shattered by the movie. I, personally, can not wait for the movie. Of course they're going to have to add scenes in that weren't in the book. Do you want an hour long film...or more? I personally want more. I think this trailer is good and sorry to the people mentioning HP's new trailier...that one could of been a bit better.

It seems like the movie does differ from the book, like the settings in some scenes. And that Robert doesn't get into character much... Did the actors read the book? if not, i think it would have helped them get into character a little more. My friends always say movies aren't as good as the books because everyone has they're different opinion on how the setting is, what the characters look like,etc... Sure, we all would like to see Stephenie Meyer's book played out on screen exactly like we see it in our heads, but there would always be someone unhappy with the movie... Point being, sure I'm not estatic about some of the details in the movie, but I'll still go see the movie and will probably like it even if it isn't what I pictured when I was reading Twilight...

Said that Robert and Kristen were only actors and that they couldn't BE Edward and Bella. I'm sorry, but if they can't do that then they should be fired. They're not getting paid to just read lines and look good (well, Robert might be. I don't know). They're getting paid to be someone else. Gah! It frustrates me how much everyone is just like "OH MY GIZZLEZ ROBERTTT!!! Best movie ever!" Just... no. That's like renting a Keanu Reeves movie (or worse, going to see it in the theater. ::shudder::) just because you think he's hot. "Hot" did not help Hayden Christensen in Jumper and it will not help Robert Pattinson now.

Hate on me all you want, but this looks like a terrible film. Yes, it is a fantasy, but they could at least make it seem slightly realistic. The acting is way overdone. Dear God. Edward. Robert is gorgeous, but when he says "I'll do whatever it takes to make you safe again!" I just want to gag. It's not believable. He sounds like he's vomiting the words out instead of trying to soothe the girl he's madly in love with. Gosh, the teaser trailer is even worse. The only bright side in the acting is James, who delivered crappy lines with some sense of connection to his character.

And the atmosphere... it's all too... bright. A lot of it is done in the daytime, like when the Cullens first meet Laurent, Victoria, and James. In the book that happens at night. This may seem like a fickle complaint, but it's all about the mood that's created.

My biggest complaint is probably the lack of chemistry between the actors. I don't think many of them connected.

It will keep the teenies happy.

I thought it was interesting that Rob wanted to play Edward darker but they wouldnt let him. He had a few arguements over it. He's a wonderful actor and will be awesome as Salvador Dali in Little Ashes.

ALL HATERS!! Stop hating on Kristen, and Rob or The movie period. The TEASER Trailer looking AWESOME! I can't wait for the Movie. Kristen protrays Bella Perfectly, You couldn't have found a better person to play her. I love her voice its perfect. Rob makes the perfect Edward. He greatt too. The Teaser Trailer looks awesome can't wait for another one. Can't wait for the MOVIE period. I LOVE IT THIS BOOK. THE MOVIE LOOK REALLY GREAT! AND I CAN'T WAIT FOR THE MOVIE. Thank you Stephenie, Kristen, Rob, and the rest of the cast (they are great awesome people too.), and you can't for get the writer and the producer of the movie. Book to movie conversions never work out well. I am a very picking person. I agree the acting is not very good to say the least and I also didn't imagine Edward with the 5 o' clock shadow in some of the trailer (not a good look on a vampire haha) But I love the book so I will bear with the movie. I just wish she wouldn't finish the Story just yet. I hate to think that in less then I week my love affair will be over. *pout* haha. I love the image in my imagination of the charaters a littl better. Emmett's character looks hotter then Edward's haha. Too Bad....

I definitely like it better than the first one...

However, like some of you said, it seems like it varies a lot from the book. And- it's such a great book, I really don't want anything to be left out!

I'm rather disappointed with the cast, though. I don't feel like they interpret the characters very well. I know everyone sees the characters differently, but they they're just not how i pictured book characters. The acting looks o-k. Not great, not horrible. I don't think the actors have a passion for the books (I know most of them had no idea that there was a book called "Twilight" out when they got casted for the role) and that might reflect in the acting.
But we'll just have to wait and see! Maybe we'll all be surprised! (:

In the meantime, I can't wait for breaking dawn!

I think the movie will be amazing. People keep complaining that the movie ruined Edward for them. Well, everyone see's Edward and Bella differently along with the rest of the cast. Basically this is from Stephenie's version of Twilight and if it is good enough for her than it should be a great movie.

I'm so disappointed by the trailors and the cast! It's not at all how the movie should be! They've got it all wrong, and they're just going to mess it up for all of us. Once I see a movie of a book (like Harry Potter), it's hard not to imagine the book that way, and they've ruined Edward for me! At least Breaking Dawn comes out before the movie so I can finish the series before it's ruined completely!

Umm... I don't wanna get jumped or anything, but I think the movie could be a huge letdown, for me at least. No words can convey my love of the Twilight books (Stephenie Meyer is a genius!) but from what I've seen of the clips, trailers, and the previous films of R & K, the movie probably won't be nearly as good as my the film of my imagination. Then again, when has a movie EVER been as good as a book like this? I'm willing to give it a shot, but my expectations are not high.

Anyway, can't wait for Breaking Dawn. Just one more week!

ok, I've read enough of the critisms. I'm gonna throw my two pennies into the pot. First of all, when did any of you "acting critics" become casting directors? They did the best they could. Can any of you do better? None of us have seen the whole movie yet. They are just trailers. Of course the actors aren't going to be as we've all pictured in our heads. That's the problem with books to movies. It's never going to be perfect. As for following the book to a T, Stephanie has been very involved with the script and production and if it soots her ideas then it soots mine. My opinion? The trailers are friggin awesome and I can't stinkin wait. Will it live up to what the book portrayed in my head? who knows. No book to movie has ever accomplished that in movie history for anyone. To each his own. Let's all be happy that Stephanie decided to make it into a movie and watch the book come to life in a sense. If you don't like it fine. But let's wait till 12-12-08 to decide that.

People those of you who don't have anything nice to say don't say anything at all. Of course the fight scene is slow you want to see them fight, don't you? Robert Pattison he's not supposed to be a vampire he was only cast to play it personally they couldn't have found anyone better because his look screams dangerous and deadly but beautiful at the same time. Kristen Stewart could have been better but she grows on you and shes a really good actress and who cares if they put things out of place if its good then oh, well. If you really cared about twilight you'd give the cast a chance.

I think this trailer is a lot better than the first one. It shows more stuff and gets you more excited about the movie. I agree about the vampires not being fast enough though. I really hate that Kristens mouth is always open, what's that about! She always has her mouth hanging open when the camera's on her. I love Rob though he said his lines so wonderfully.... LUV him! I like the guy who plays Laurent, it's good that they used some of his actual diolouge
it's not in the right order or anything, but still good. That's exactly how I pictured Charlie, he's perfect! I don't like how James says "You brought a snack" he says it really weird he goes ahhhhhhhhh and then says it, but he has everything else down pat. The person who plays Victoria seems too nice, Victoria is supposed to be kind of cat like and really intimidating. The person who plays her isn't really like that at all. I love the people who play Jasper,Alice,Rosalie, Edward,Esme and Carlisle,I'm not really sure about Emmett...

The scenes were changed.. For example, when Bella goes to Edward's home for the first time, she says that he's not scary. And he "attacks" her. He's kidding of course. In the book, he throws her to the sofa, but inthe movie they almost fly into the forest! And this is just an example. There's much more. Oh my god.

I couldnt be any happier with Robert Pattinson. All the clips have shown me he is a wonderful actor and will become a huge star when its released. He has amazing screen presence.

Not sure the bad guy is scary enough. Maybe the look doesnt help. Silly pony tail etc.

Not keen on the young kid playing Jacob. He's so short and looks too cutesy. I'd rather they focus on Bella and Edward anyway if they film the second book as the Italian scenes are by far the best and they can really go to town with them.

I must admit Kristen is a bit flat in the scenes I;ve sene so far.

When I saw the actors I was terrified!
1.Robert Pattinson: Horrible. Fisically he doesn't look like Edward. He isn't beautiful, intimidating and is far from being perfect (not that I was expecting that - noone is perfect). He is'nt a very good actor, too. He can't play Edward. Edward's personality is unique. Bad choice.
2.Kristen Stewart: Bad choice, too. Physically, she's not that bad, however she should look more fragile and her eyes.. weren't they supposed to be brown? About the acting, well, I can't say much, because I haven't seen the movie yet, but I have already seen some scenes and her acting is horrible! When she plays Bella, she has this awkward facial expression.. Is it supposed to be shyness?
3.Cam Gadinget (James): Horrible. He was supposed to have brown hair and he should seem terrifying.
4.The Cullens: GREAT! Except Edward and Esme - she should be prettier and look more maternal. Rosalie (Nikki Reed) should be prettier, too. Jasper's hair looks weird.

Sure, I know these are only little 'teasers', but where's Alice? and Rosalie? Or even Jacob? I just read his latest film where he plays Salvador Dali is going to be released in October so it will be a Rob fest at the end of the year. Cant wait.

To get more money they need a bigger audience so of course they are going to try to get guys to see the movie. Twilgiht needs more support from us and so does the cast. The movie wll be great and these are only the teaser trailers. Not the whole movie

I'm loving Rob Pattinson's performance from all I've seen so far. As mentioned below he had me too at the spidermonkey line. So brilliantly delivered. Very unusual too.

Kristen is very disappointing and I'm being kind here. I could say a lot more. Rob is going to have to create enough sexual tension for both of them.

Yeah, I know it's been said a bajillion times. Yick for Kristen! :/ And please note that we are stuck with her for two more movies. It is painfully obvious through her delivery of those lines that Catherine Hardwick directed her to be almost accusational. Yes, that is good direction for that pivotal confrontation, but my goodness, Kristen! Some subtlety would be awesome! It made me so upset how ridiculous that whole thing sounded...
On the other pale hand, Cam and Rob... oh, dear. Hyperventilation will ensue! The "you brought a snack" line... wow. I can't wait for it all to come together. I'm really pulling for this movie. I hope it does well, but if the female teenage population has anything to do with it, it will do amazingly!

The first trailer was definitely better, mostly because the bad guy isn't really that scary. But I don't see why everyone is hating on Kristin Stewart. She doesn't seem horribly flat. It's only a trailer! I'll wait until the movie comes out to make any conclusions.

The first trailer was much better made. More mysterious, sexy and interesting. The second one was cheap and tacky.

Also worryingly Kristen cant seem to deliver a line properly. She isnt good at the emotional stuff is she. Oh well I'm not watching the film for her anyway. Rob Pattinson so exceeds my expecations for Edward I am on cloud 9. I think I'll watch the whole film in complete lust for him.

I can let them off with one trailer geared round guys who think its a Buffy rip off but the main trailer needs to be classier and focused on the two lead actors. Kristen's delivery of those lines was also appallng.

I want to see more Rob in the trailers as he's awesome and delivers his lines perfectly. He has such a sexy intense screen presence. WOW I'm really excited about the career he's going to have. I'd love him to get that Clash of the Titans franchise role.

I think this trailer was made with men/boys in mind. They don't want this movie to only be seen by women/girls, which is who would be attracted to it with a love-themed trailer. There's a ton of action in these books and they're smart to try to get some Y-chromosomes in the theaters by showing it.

I think this trailer is ten times better than the first one. There's so much more dialogue and when James turns to Edward and says "You brought a snack" chills run down my spine. I love Robert as Edward, when he tells her he'd do whatever it takes to make her safe again he looks like he's about to cry, I was so impressed with his amazing acting that I watched this over and over, but Kristen on the other hand, isn't exactly what I expected. She doesn't seem very good, but what do I know, I've only seen little parts? I can't wait for the movie!

I liked both trailers, but I can honestly say that the first one was better. It is hard for me to count out Kristen Stewart already as the character Bella since I haven't even seen the movie yet. Some people say how horrible she is as if they have seen "Twilight" already. I am glad they are making the book into a movie because it will be awesome to see it on the big screen. As I have been reading the books, I have always thought that Bella did speak in a mature and even manner. She didn't seem too overly dramatic when it came to her feelings for Edward. If she sounded that way in the movie then it would sound way too cheesy and be more of a soap opera than a movie. So give Kristen a chance, fellow Twilighters. Oh and by the way, TEAM EDWARD!!!

I disagree too. I'm happy for whoever plays Bella. I had no actress in mind at all and I fully expected Kristen to do a good job BUT she doesnt. The majority of the lines she's delivered in both trailers and special footage has been appalling. No emotion at all. Dead. Flat and Monotone.

Pattinson is doing a good job, he really is. Very impressed with him. Its a hard role too but when I heard him say the spidermonkey line I knew he'd be perfect. I dont like them being bandied together as he is acting well and she isnt.

I think the reason everyone is hating on Kirsten Stewert is because she gets to play bella. I caught myself saying that i thought she was horrible- but that wasnt it, i just want to be so close to Robert Pattinson... :)

I don't think she is emotionless, I think she is just shocked. Like when she is listing stuff about him, she is like "i cant believe it, i dont understand" sort of thing... I dont know, i like how normal she is.

But on the cover of EW i HATE how they made Edward look. They did not make him look good at all! She looks more like a vampire than he does. He just looks like a boy with a lot of makeup on. I wish they'd do another cover with interveiws with edward and bella. yum :)

I saw this trailer online first, where I loved it (if only because it's new material), then again in front of The Dark Knight. It made me realize that this teaser trailer is trying to draw in a specific audience, namely boys and Batman fans, with it's reliance up on the action and cars and running through the forest. I still love it, but also see how they're using it as a marketing ploy.

Its interesting to see that Rob Pattinson is proving to be an excellent actor while Kristen is not. Its the opposite of what twilight readers were expecting.

Trailer 1 is vastly superior and gives Rob more of a chance to shine. Kristen is the focus of Trailer 2 and also the bad guy but he isnt scary and she should get the award for worst delivered lines in a movie.

hurm... What I think is that Catherine Hardwicke is totally teasing us with this. I mean there might be some takes inside this trailer that will not be used in the movie. Look at the first trailer, they used different takes for the scene in Edward's bedroom, better ones which was in the Penelope DVD. IDK I think this is definitely a teaser to make us more anxious not in the good way but then when the movie came it sorta gave you a BANG! I;m watching the movie anyways.

I love the way they can capture it.
Turn (this tralier) more into a thriller.I have to admit that one: they reviel to much information for those people who havent read the books. And two: theres only going to be one action scene. Its not going to be an action movie,which will only happen at the end. I really really want to see this movie, so I recommend to people to read the books because there going to show these kind of things because they want the support of the fans.
Over all I loved it being a Twilighter. But I also think they are putting so much spoilers out that this should be the last tralier till the movie.

I was a bit disappointed with the trailer. It was really choppy and it assumes so much about the audience. If you have read the series, you can understand the trailer and it's exciting to see new scenes. But all of my friends who haven't read it and have watched the trailer agree that the trailer doesn't draw in people who haven't read it, and that's not what we want at all. The first one was a lot more alluring and left you wondering about the movie. This one just throws a bunch of stuff at you and expects you to follow. Not a big fan of it...

I never realised Rob Pattinson was such a charismatic actor. He's actually very good. Buckets of screen presence and he delivers every line perfectly. I'm pleased and relieved. They picked really well. You dont get to see him properly in trailer 2 but in trailer 1 he's amazing. Scary and sexy all at the same time. Thats really hard to pull off.

I agree there's a bad choice of scenes and editing in trailer 2. Whoever put it together the responsibility still rests with the director/producers for releasing it. Its probably doing untold damage in the cinemas.

It does reemphasise what was apparent in trailer 1 - that Kristen is not performing well in this film. Not sure why or even if she is always that bad and just lucky getting roles but without seeing her previous work and just going by what I've seen in the trailer I'd have to say she was truly appalling. Mind you she is lumbered with appalling lines.

I'm curious to see Pattinson in the Salvador Dali film.

Personally, I love it. I think Kristen Stewart makes a great Bella (although I do agree with a previous poster that her voice could have a little something... "more" when talking to Edward). And Robert as Edward couldn't be more perfect from what I've seen! Even from this little taste of what the movie will be, people who haven't even read the books will get a very clear sense of his protectiveness over Bella, which is one of the biggest ways that he shows his love for her in Twilight. As far as the villians go, Cam Gigandet has the right posture, the right looks (he's hot!!), and the right lines, but based on what I saw in the baseball scene, he seems more menacing than truly frightening. This could be their take on that scene, as I certainly see how it could be seen in that way, but I was expecting him to just turn into a complete monster with his facial expressions and voice at that point. At least I saw that later in the studio scene with Bella. Overall, though, it's AMAZING!!!

I think people need to realise that the movie has to be more actiony to attract other fans apart from us twilighters... the book will always be better because it describes every little movement on edwards face coz thts wat bellas like shes super observant.. we cant expect the movie to portray tht coz it a movie it in everyones perspective.. still i have no doubts about it i cant wait..!!!!!! i like everything they've released for us.. the trailers.. the scenes.. some rehersals.. everything because there thinkin of us..! and they brilliant lol..!
