Ugh, is EW really the place for nasty political comments (from either side?) It's ENTERTAINMENT Weekly, grandpas. Let's talk about the dang trailer! James Cromwell as HW? I don't think so! Could he have even TRIED to resemble Papa Bush?? He has a very distinct voice. Cromwell could have tried to emulate it a little, at least. And anyone who thinks Oliver Stone is capable of presenting an unbiased opinion has obviously never heard of Oliver Stone. JFK was an insane movie, but I totally loved it. "W" should be interesting, to say the least!

I'll admit it, I voted for Bush the first time around in 2000. I thought that he'd be able to take advantage of his father's advisers and bring an experienced team in to help him/the country. I also have a number of relatives in the military/law enforcement/fire department/etc. However, I'm now one of the 75% of people that disapprove of the job he's done as President. I'm so disappointed and almost outraged by what he has done in his 8 years that I am so not ready to see a movie about him. Especially a comedy. Sigh.

Another weak, moronic shot in the dark to degrade and undermine our wonderful country of America. I'll watch it and empathize the humor in watching someone's shortcomings, misfortunes, and mishaps as any self-loathing, country hating leftist scum might intend to. But I won't give a dime to do so. Self centered liberals have no concept of RIGHT or wrong and this movie looks to exacerbate the ignorance.

Stone says he intends a DR. STRANGLELOVE approach. hope it finds a proper tone to this joke of a President. but the joke's been on all of us. maybe...just maybe America will think before it votes in the future? we got what we deserved for not paying attention.

With the 'influence' of the entertainment community in politics as it is, are these movies necessary?
I know - its Oliver Stone, and he's 'edgy' and 'controversial', but for the love of pete, pick another person. I'm not really pro or con either way, just tired of the topic. Where's the film on Buchanan or Jackson?

This trailer looks trashy and cute. I'm not against politics looking funny (ie: Wag the Dog) but this looks like an ambush. I think I'll be skipping this film.

Which is exactly why "bitter," "backwoods yokels" keep electing Republicans (and why Rs have dominated Presidential politics for 30 years). Because they are better then condescending, urban, coastal jerks who think that their way of life is better, they are more "enlightened," and they are infinitely more intelligent then the rest of us in fly-over country. And movies like this do nothing to help the liberal cause. They just remind us why we don't like elitists in the first place. There is a reason why Oliver Stone didn't make Nixon and JFK while they were still in office...he didn't have the ending yet. And he doesn't have enough perspective to film the President's story while he is still in office.

I couldn't watch That's My Bush, I can't watch Lil Bush, and I'm afraid I won't be able to watch this. I stayed up all night back in 2000 to make sure this bozo didn't become President. Sadly, we know that horrific result. These shows and movies, though good-intentioned enough to poke fun at this incompetant, just reiterate the simple, terrifying fact that somehow enough people in this great country of ours felt compelled to vote for a goober. I don't like being reminded that, sadly, the majority of Americans are exactly what people in other countries think of when they think of "Americans"...a bunch of backwoods hick yokels.

While I'm not a fan of GW, I hope that this film is fairly unbiased and/or apolitical. I can go elsewhere to hear why I should hate/love Bush, and how he screwed/saved this country.

For this film, I'm more interested in the story of the man than Stone's personal politics.

Not impressed. I hate President Bush as much as the 75% of people in the US that despise him, but what is the point of this movie? To showcase that an idiot occupies the White House currently? I think the current $490 billion deficit already proved that. Plus, this pins the problem on Bush. Lets not forget that in 2004, Bush legitimatly won the presidency (not by much, but still). Maybe some accountability should be pinned on us and not on the fact that Bush is an ignoramous. Even if he is a total baffoon and the worst president in history.

Heh, the movie looks like a hoot and hopefully a good catharsis. I can't wait to see it, laugh, and thank god he's not literally running for a third term. Unfortunately, there's still that other brain dead psycho, McCain, who can still potentially doom us all.
