Matthew McConaughey dives into meat market(ing)

Mcconaugheysteak_l Actor who refuses to enter the public realm with a covered chest: It's what's for dinner. Matthew McConaughey is the new spokesman for the National Cattleman's Beef Association! Of course he is -- just marvel at the similarities between the rugged terrain of his pecs and a sizzling steak. (That image was actually the alternate movie poster for 2002's Reign of Fire.) Listen to McConaughey's drawling radio spot and enjoy a video montage of beef (McConaughey and otherwise), over at Defamer.

A specialty burger can't be too far off. Optional pickles would represent one of the actor's tatterred tees, drifting away from the burger on a sea of ketchup. Ohhhh yes. Put the McConaughey on the dollar menu!

By promoting meat he is promoting: 1) Destruction of our planet (the industry contributes huge amounts to greenhouse gases) 2) Unhealthy eating habits 3)Cruel treatment of farm animals. Shame on him!

Never has there been, nor will there ever be a finer piece of man meat than Matthew.

How appropriate since ole Mattie generally looks disgustingly greasy anyway.

Shouldn't this have been under 100% cheese? Hot cheese, but cheese nevertheless.

I heard one of these spots the other day for the first time, and all I wanted to do was eat a big steak. Okay, actually, it made me want to smoke a big doobie, then eat a big steak.
