Dustindiamond_l POPWATCH QUIZ: Which bit of Screech news is lamer?

a) Dustin Diamond landed a book deal for Behind the Bell, a tell-all about his 12 years on Saved by the Bell.

b) I just watched a *recorded* episode of Saved by the Bell: The College Years on TBS HD.

No contest.

Screetch's Tell-All I'm sure will be full of exagerations and fabrications,.. the cover should look like this: http://hidensneek.com/2008/07/26/sold-out-by-a-bell/

Jes, you definitely have to see the movie King of Kong to see a guy who is the world's biggest d-bag. Screech doesn't hold a candle compared to Billy Mitchell. Great documentary.

jes Mon, Jul 28, 2008 at 01:32 PM EST

It is my belief that Dustin Diamond is the biggest d-bag walking the earth. And please, if you know of a larger one...let me know. :::::I will say that some of the Real Worlders run a close second!::::

Both are equally lame, so we'll have to use the amusement factor to decide.

College Years was just boring as s***.

Even though it'd mean giving more attention to the pathetic attention h0 that is Dustin Diamond, I'm actually curious about the book and whether or not there is any dirt to dish out.

did you spray your eyes w/ mace to remove the burn from watching the TBS showing?

NineDaves.com Mon, Jul 28, 2008 at 11:39 AM EST

no contest at all. the book is lamer.

also, i have the college years on dvd.

Robert Mon, Jul 28, 2008 at 10:43 AM EST

It all depends which episode it was. Nah, the Screech thing is just sad. SBTB: TCY wasn't nearly as bad as people think it was.

I suppose it could be interesting to find out what happened to turn him into a poor man's Andy Dick but only so that other child stars can learn how to avoid the same fate.

Gee, you may want to check out Nickelodeon or Disney Channel if you're looking for less dated and (sometimes) funnier shows for your kids to watch.

Gee Mon, Jul 28, 2008 at 10:16 AM EST

I enoyed saved by the bell and my kids watch the reruns of it.... that is about the only show for kids these days!!!!!!! Dustin Diamond was one of the cool nerds of the school...But I don't care about it that much to buy the book!!!!!!

Dave Mon, Jul 28, 2008 at 10:14 AM EST

Wait a minute, Dustin Diamond was on the various iterations of Saved by the Bell for 12 freakin years?? Yikes, no wonder his career devolved into celebrity boxing and, um, home movies.

Dan Daoust Mon, Jul 28, 2008 at 09:45 AM EST

If he got frisky with Lisa Turtle, I'll buy the book.

Dana Mon, Jul 28, 2008 at 09:20 AM EST

the whole Dustin Diamond love just makes me sick, His 15 minutes were up years ago. Please boycott his book!
