Name the TV sex scene that left you breathless

BREAKING: Forget Zac Efron, ubiquitous Chace Crawford, and that Shia LaBeouf kid...Hunter Parrish is Summer 2008's crystal goblet of frozen lemonade positioned high above a somewhat interchangeable cluster of melting Slurpees. As if I needed any more reasons to keep watching Weeds, last night's episode (get Shirley Halperin's full recap here) featured shirtless Hunter sexing up Julie Bowen in a cheese shop. That's four reasons right there -- especially the words 'cheese' and 'shop'. The less racy of the two scenes (and there promise to be many more) is embedded below.

Damn! It cut off before the best part -- where he says "Hold on to ME" instead of her suggestion, the kitchen sink in the back room. I'm not sure we can even publish that sentence. I guess that's why it's not in the clip, huh?

Going waaay back... to the mid 1970s, on the soap opera spoof "Mary Hartman, Mary Hartman". There was torrid chemistry between Mary Hartman and local cop Dennis Foley. They finally "got together" in a hospital bed, and it was super-hot. I haven't seen too many TV characters who can kiss each other as passionately as those two could.

All of the scenes mentioned above have been great, but none of them hold a candle to the sex scenes between Taylor Kitsch (Tim) and Minka Kelly (Lyla) on Friday Night Lights. The chemistry between these two literally leaps off the screen. My favorite show won't be back on NBC until February 2009, but the season 1 and 2 DVD keep me going!

STARBUCK & LEOBEN....im just saying could it be any better than that?!?!
Havent seen Lword scen and not gonna for the show is not my flavour at all, nothing against the point of the serie thou just not my taste. But i have seen all of QueerAsFolks so i know just what you guys mean and yes its kinda hot, at least the first time u see it.
Spike and Buffy was shocking(and funny) and a bit to hot for a serie that started "nice"...did they think about the smaller kid fans??

As far as i know the Starbuck and Leoben scen was cut out of the ep due to TOO much hotness :P ooooooohhhhhh but aprently they have it on the DVD version. For those whom havent seen it should SEE IT! Ghaaaaaaaaaa! oh my holy cows.....!!
To see it u just have to look up season3 of BattlestarGalactica or write Strabuck and Leoben on Youtube and there will be plenty of vids to see clips of it.

This may be a long ago reference for some of you youngsters, but HILL STREET BLUES! Yowza! The tension between Capt Frank Furillo and Atty Joyce Davenport! I'll never forget the first time, when Furillo was sitting alone at a bar after an exhausting day and Davenport walked up and just stared into his eyes! There was so much heat in that moment, and really in every scene between them. All she had to do after that was call him "Pizza Man" when they were back in the office setting and you knew exactly what she was talking about!

ER's season four "Good Touch, Bad Touch". at the beginning of the episode: Doug and carol brining into life one of carols old fantasies.

There’s also the bath scene in season's 5 "Stuck On” You at the end of the episode.
Actually any sex scene with Doug and carol is hot. the chemistry between George Clooney and Julianna Margulies was one you don't often see and it made falling in-love with Doug and Carol so much easier :-)

This goes back a little farther than most of these posts and is not neccesarily a "sex scene" but at the time it got me going. Quantum Leap episode where Scott Bakula leaps into a black soldier in Vietnam and gets cozy with a female journalist. It's the first time I remember seeing, on TV, the outline of a bare breast. For that time it was pretty daring.

Love Buffy and Spike, but the scene of theirs that shocked me was in Gone (two episodes after the 'house falling down' episode), when Buffy is invisible and Xander walks in on Spike "exercising." Whoa, he's got a hot bod!!

The BBC's Queer As Folk had a topnotch sex scene it's first episode. Conrad and Nancy on Weeds in season 3 was sexy. Vamp Willow and Vamp Xander sucking Cordy dry in The Wish (BtVS) was a heck of a hot metaphor. Seems like this post has many people on here saying Tina and Bette on The L Word. Seen their scenes and they seem quite uninvolving (maybe more fan worship than a comprehension of their scenes - just saying) and by the numbers. There was a scene where a pregnant Tina had sex with a woman in a pool that was hotter. There also was an extremely hot (and realistic in terms of how funny and furious and passionate sex can be) scene between Jenny's character and a Lohan type actress in a tent that is on a higher, more evocative level. I guess Jenny is not popular with fans of the show but it certainly seemed more intense. Not dissing Better and Tina but got to call what I see.

Reading some of the comments now, I remember two scenes from a couple of favorites:

Sydney and Vaughn finally having sex after taking down SD-6. Just the fact that it was scored to "God Put a Smile Upon Your Face" by Coldplay deserves a spot on the list.

And Starbuck's dream sex sequence with Leoben in her apartment surrounded with white paint in the third season of Battlestar Galactica. What made that hot was the fact that Starbuck was acting it out in reality with writhing and panting and the like. Hell, there are some real graphic sex scenes throughout the series. The mini-series had a hot sex scene with Six and Baltar. Later in the third season as well, when he thinks of sex with Six as he's getting tortured by D'Anna. That was real explicit stuff.

I agree with the people who've mentioned Kate/Sawyer and Sofie/Ben (Carnivale). There are so many others, although it can be really hard to get satisfying sex scenes on TV given that they almost always veer towards romance/sap/marriage/candlelight sex rather than my preferred hot/affairs/guilt/against the wall sex.

Paint Sex, third season of Battlestar Galactica. Starbuck (Katee Sackhoff) and Leoben (Callum Keith Rennie). It was the dream sequence that opened the episode and it was definitely a shock, and HOT.
