Just a quick note to let you know that you made me smile this morning when I finally saw you in Brad Paisley's "Waitin' on a Woman" video (below). Also, you totally deserved an Oscar nomination for your work in Waitress.
Best,
Mandi

I've been a fan of Andy's since I was a kid. He's still got it!

If I had a penny for all the things I love about Andy Griffith - I would have many pennies.

"I also recommend the video for 'When I Get Where I'm Going.'" I can't even THINK about that video or I get all emotional. Sob.

Thanks for the new b.p. Mandi!

Mandi, were you smiling through tears? Good lord, I actually had to push a tissue into my eyes to stop the tears from flowing here in my office. Thanks for the link, and the Friday emotionality!

Waitress deserved better, a nom for writing, actress and Andy Griffith. That was a great movie.

1. That was a lovely song/video.
2. Andy Griffith IS great and TOTALLY deserved a nomination for "Waitress", to say nothing of Keri Russell.
3. Brad Paisley is h.o.t.

Thanks for sharing this video! My mom saw it on TV last week and told me about it, but I hadn't seen it yet. My father passed away earlier this year and my mom said she was really enjoying the video until the end, when Andy is waiting on the bench, and she started crying thinking of my dad waiting for her. It's a great video. I'm glad I got to see it.

Do I get extra credit points if tears welled up in my eyes when I saw Sheriff Taylor AND smiled? Thanks again for sharing Mandi.

BTW: Is that the outlet mall in the Outer Banks, NC? I could believe it since Andy lives in the area, but it looked really familiar.

If you want to gain a better appreciation for Andy Griffith (though you may never think of him the same way again) do yourself a favor and rent the movie "A Face In The Crowd" if you haven't already. It will blow your mind. And ol' Andy says the F word in the DVD featurette.

I love Andy Griffith! I have always liked Brad Paisley but this makes me like him even more. I'm not going to lie... my eyes aren't exactly dry.

I love Andy Griffith--he was great in Waitress, an awesome movie.

I love this BP song, too. When my grandma died, I thought of this song, and of my grandpa, sitting patiently on a bench waiting for her to arrive. I also recommend the video for "When I Get Where I'm Going." It's pretty much guaranteed to bring a lump to the throat.

Cool - I just might forgive Brad Paisley for that god-awful "Ticks" song.

Melissa Thu, Jul 31, 2008 at 03:44 PM EST

Brad Paisley is the best! So talented and his videos are always so well done!

Kerri Thu, Jul 31, 2008 at 03:43 PM EST

I just love Brad Paisley. His songs and videos are so great! Andy Griffith was really wonderful in waitress too. Who knew his character was such a softie :) That video really did make me smile :)
