Which of your favorite shows are missing from EW's New TV Classics list?

Jun 30, 2008, 08:00 AM | by Gary Susman

Categories: Television

Entourage_l I don't know how many new TV series were introduced over the last 25 years, but I'm going to go out on a limb and guess that it was more than 100. So it was inevitable that some of the best shows would have to be left off EW's list of the 100 New Classic TV shows of the past quarter-century. Now that you've had a chance to click through the entire list (Part 1; Part 2; Part 3; Part 4), it's time for you to tell us which of your favorite shows since 1983 we missed. Me, I'm still wondering how we managed to compile this list without including Entourage (pictured), Weeds, or The X-Files. (We used to put that show on the cover all the time! And now it's just chopped alien liver?) Go ahead, let us have it.

Mohammed Wed, Jul 16, 2008 at 10:57 AM EST

Futurama. And yet the supremely inferior yet instead resuscitated Family Guy makes the list. Inexplicable.

Evelyn Tue, Jul 15, 2008 at 01:50 AM EST

Alias. Alias. ALIAS. For the love of all that in awesome and ass kicking why do you EW hate ALIAS?!?!?!? It helped jump start all these action based tv shows AND helped legitimize the FEMALE action hero.

Also I don't remember seeing Firefly on your list. A BRILLIANT show that was axed FAR before it's time.

Meg Sat, Jul 12, 2008 at 07:48 PM EST

"The X-Files" luckily was on your list--at number four, a spot that it definitely deserved. If it wasn't on the list, I would have contacted the FBI. (Okay, spare me the lame pun.)

nunya Tue, Jul 1, 2008 at 10:34 PM EST

the US version of the office is on the list. people, read thoroughly!!

Raven_Moon Tue, Jul 1, 2008 at 04:24 PM EST

The X-Files in number 4, Gary. What about Scrubs, though? Or for that matter, Veronica Mars, the US version of The Office or How I Met Your Mother? I mean c'mon, The Hills?!? Serioulsly?!?!? It's bad enough spots were wasted on The Bachelor, Survivor and the Real World. Also, as much as I don't like The Simpsons, I can admit it should be on the list, but number one, it isn't.

John K Tue, Jul 1, 2008 at 02:16 PM EST

Still missing The Wonder Years.

eel8 Tue, Jul 1, 2008 at 01:41 PM EST

Um, why no US Office love? Don't get me wrong. I love the Brit Office as much as the next girl, but think of the almost Cinderella story that Greg Daniels and crew pulled off. Even through critics and fans saying it would never be able to pull it off, they did, and in spades!

AMS Tue, Jul 1, 2008 at 01:01 PM EST

I just made a cool list of this info on blist. Check it out!

Holly Tue, Jul 1, 2008 at 10:23 AM EST

THE WONDER YEARS!!!!!!!
But Saved By The Bell???? THE HILLS??? COME ON! That is grounds for cancelling my EW subscription!

Kerri Tue, Jul 1, 2008 at 07:28 AM EST

EW hates "Alias". They also conspicuously left Jennifer Garner off a previous list of "Best Butt-Kicking Babes" or something to that effect. It doesn't make sense, but it is what it is.

Movie_Dearest Tue, Jul 1, 2008 at 02:03 AM EST

OMG ... enough with the "new classics" thing. Soo last issue ...

Juan Tue, Jul 1, 2008 at 12:37 AM EST

Rescue Me and The Wonder Years were two very huge mistakes, also you missed Scrubs and It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia two of the funniest shows on television.

Mon, Jun 30, 2008 at 09:16 PM EST

x-files was on there, and what about scrubs and boy meets world

Kris Mon, Jun 30, 2008 at 08:55 PM EST

DUDE! VERONICA MARS! SIN to have left off!!!!!

LisaM Mon, Jun 30, 2008 at 06:55 PM EST

Alias and Veronica Mars. I was amazed that you left those two brilliant shows off the list.

Janet Mon, Jun 30, 2008 at 06:04 PM EST

OK, EW has jumped the shark. I first suspected it when you featured Tia Tequila on the contents page. And now this list. I'm not going to take anything you write seriously any more - at least in the articles. (I think the reviewers are still serious about their jobs.) The other possibility is that you wrote the list just to get a rise out of everybody and indirectly take a poll. I could not believe "The Hills" was on the list and so many other great shows weren't. Seriously -- you're not serious. I will only comment on my favorite, "Alias." How can it not be on a list about impacting the medium? To wit: JJ Abrams; the cliffhangers changed TV (though I didn't always like them;) and it set a high bar for ability to blend character-driven drama with astonishing action, totally involving characters, a superb ensemble cast - all in a unique formula. Yes the last 3 years were not great (the 5th stunk), but the first 2 more than enough were enough to earn its place here.

lordheinrich Mon, Jun 30, 2008 at 05:40 PM EST

Assuming this list wipes out anything that started before 1983 even though it ended in the 80s or 90s or later you will be forgiven for omitting Cheers and Family Ties, but where are Smallville and Quantum Leap? the Latter being among the best Time Travel concepts ever and the former being a fresh take on an old favorite

Meredith44 Mon, Jun 30, 2008 at 05:30 PM EST

Cheers and St. Elsewhere premiered in 1982, and thus they were too old for this list.
Regarding Alias, a number of people have mentioned it, and I truly disagree. The first two seasons were decent, but the last three were bad. (I did watch most of the episodes of all of the seasons.) Plus it ripped off a lot of La Femme Nikita (even its premise of a female spy working for a shadowy organization with a handler named Michael whom she falls in love with wasn't original, considering La Femme Nikita premiered 4 years earlier).
I do think that The Wonder Years could have been on here, though, not so much for any cultural impact, but just because it was a quality show that was enjoyable to watch. I would have liked it to replace any of the bottom 8 except MacGyver.
As far as shows like Survivor, The Bachelor, and the like being on there, I agree with "C"; this isn't necessarily the highest quality shows, as cultural impact was factored in as well.

nunya Mon, Jun 30, 2008 at 05:13 PM EST

CHEERS!! and wasn't THE X FILES on the list, susman?

Rae Rae Mon, Jun 30, 2008 at 04:27 PM EST

I would have to agree with the many people that said the Wonder Years. I mean, seriously! That is a classic show about coming of age and all the awkward, uncomfortable moments endured in the process. I would also have to agree with Scrubs. Every episode makes me laugh, regardless how many times I've seen it.

Jackie Mon, Jun 30, 2008 at 04:23 PM EST

How I met your mother
Doctor Who
Veronica Mars
Lost

Kai- Mon, Jun 30, 2008 at 04:09 PM EST

Everwood is still hands down one of the best dramas I ever watched.

Melissa Mon, Jun 30, 2008 at 04:08 PM EST

There didn't seem to be enough love for science fiction, so I'm putting my two cents in for Babylon 5. It pretty much changed how sci fi stories are filmed and told. And the writing? Phenomenal. This is the standard I hold all tv shows to.

Dustin Mon, Jun 30, 2008 at 04:06 PM EST

Granted, the list got a lot right. However, there were a few glaring ommissions: Veronica Mars. Alias. The Wonder Years. The OC. Invasion. Weeds.

Devin Mon, Jun 30, 2008 at 03:53 PM EST

Um, "Alias," hello!?! There was no greater thrill than seeing what crazy situations and outfits Sydney Bristow was going to get into every week. How it could have been left off the list while "The Hills" was included is unfathomable.

C Mon, Jun 30, 2008 at 03:41 PM EST

I don't think the list is the BEST shows, rather those that changed TV for better or worse. Love or hate Survivor, it has spawned numerous knock-offs and "reality" shows have taken over TV. Making a list of shows we like best would be a whole different list.

Kevan Mon, Jun 30, 2008 at 03:17 PM EST

Boomtown, The Equalizer and Cheers!

matty Mon, Jun 30, 2008 at 03:10 PM EST

The list is absolutely unbelievable. The fact that Alias isn't on there is the most ridiculous mistake EW has ever made. To those who think that Lost paved the wave for serialized television and the introduction of JJ Abrams to America, they obviously have never seen Alias. Are the people who work at EW even smart? The Hills?

I vote for a re-issuing of the list.

Twist Mon, Jun 30, 2008 at 02:40 PM EST

NIP/TUCK!

Scott Mon, Jun 30, 2008 at 02:29 PM EST

How could you have left out China Beach??? 2 Emmy wins for Dana Delany, 1 for Marg Helgenberger. Gut-wrenching, smart, tear-jerking.

Tuzo Mon, Jun 30, 2008 at 02:04 PM EST

I have to second Wonder Years and Scrubs: big omissions. Interesting how both shows share some similarities and they are both missing from the list. Coincidence? They both feature a voice over, both are comedies that are able to walk the fine line between comedy and drama. And succeed at both. Right now, the Scrubs "sad" music is playing and I'm slowly doing the surgeon side to side head shake.
.
Also, I'm going to give a shout out for Doctor, Doctor. Loved that show with Matt Frewer.

Sarah Mon, Jun 30, 2008 at 02:02 PM EST

Yes to Degrassi in all incarnations!

And though I liked Arrested Development, I think the proclamations of 'brilliance' are a bit undeserving. I prefer my awkward comedy with a bit more heart (a la both 'The Office's) and a bit more staying power.

Ann Mon, Jun 30, 2008 at 01:48 PM EST

ALIAS!

kate Mon, Jun 30, 2008 at 01:46 PM EST

DUHgrassi.

Dan Mon, Jun 30, 2008 at 01:36 PM EST

...last line should read "Which is a big part of the reason I don't subscribe anymore." Keyboard burp in there somewhere.

Dan Mon, Jun 30, 2008 at 01:35 PM EST

St. Elsewhere.

Hard to believe that junk like "The Bachelor" or "Survivor" made the list, but a classic like St. Elsewhere didn't. Seems like EW is more about pop culture and less about quality entertainment. Which is a bug oart if why I don't subscribe anymore.

tex mex Mon, Jun 30, 2008 at 01:29 PM EST

It's about TIME you asked this question!!

The Wonder Years
Sports Night
Alias

'Nuff said. I mean, seriously, "The Bachelor"?????

L.DawG Mon, Jun 30, 2008 at 01:23 PM EST

ALIAS!!!!! by far the best of its genre for 3 out of 5 years and VERONICA MARS!!! WTF EW??? What went wrong? I appreciate NEWSRADIO and other less-known shows' inclusion but to leave ALIAS out and include FELICITY...that's just madness

Tide Pride Mon, Jun 30, 2008 at 12:57 PM EST

"Resue Me" is an obvious miss. Outside of the Wire, nothing balances the concept of a hard hitting drama, with no defined heros or bad guys while providing the right mix of humor.

I'm hoping that the reason why a majority of the 80's television shows were neglected was because they premiered prior to the 1983 date. Because this list is crazy for numerous shows missing and for including such shows as Saved by the Bell, Jackass, Baywatch, Xena: Warrior Princess, NewsRadio, the Bachelor, and my personal favorite "the Hills". I understand including shows that were pop culture touchstones such as Beavis & Butthead, Southpark, The Arsenio Hall show, etc. but in 15 years am i really going to want to watch reruns of the Hills, i highly doubt it:

Here are the most notable shows I saw missing but like I said it could be due to the 1983 cutoff date but still quite a few:
Cheers!
Magnum P I
Rescue Me
St. Elsewhere
Hill Street Blues
China Beach
Alias
Quantum Leap
Picket Fences
The Closer
WKRP in Cincinnati
Taxi
The Wonder Years
Family Ties
Night Court

josher Mon, Jun 30, 2008 at 12:45 PM EST

So glad wh mentioned The Days And Nights Of Molly Dodd. Love Blair Brown, and it was a great (but little watched) show. It was ahead of it's time in so many ways, and since it was filmed in New York, it featured many great theater actors, some of whom (Boyd Gaines/Victor Garber among others) became very successful on Broadway.

fab Mon, Jun 30, 2008 at 12:36 PM EST

OK, seriously people, these posts are supposed to be for shows that didn't make the list that should have. To that end, it would probably be helpful if you made even a cursory glance at the list itself to see if the show you're talking about is actually on it or not. Law and Order is #27, Gilmore Girls is #32, The Comeback is #79, and Battlestar Galactica is #59. Did you guys all fail Reading Comprehension, or what??

Adina Mon, Jun 30, 2008 at 12:14 PM EST

X-Files is number four on your list.

hannah Mon, Jun 30, 2008 at 12:14 PM EST

am I going to sound like a TV watcher with absolutely no taste by saying gilmore girls? ok yes I am.
But seriously, I thought it was a major phenomenon in the female demographic. I still watch the re-runs

Kira Mon, Jun 30, 2008 at 12:02 PM EST

Farscape! It may not have drawn a huge audience but it had a very loyal cult following. And it definitely deserves classic status due to its successful (and poignant) blending of Jim Henson's world with SciFi.

Julie Mon, Jun 30, 2008 at 11:58 AM EST

Wings and The Wonder Years

Jennifer Mon, Jun 30, 2008 at 11:48 AM EST

Law&Order~The reruns will be on til the end of time. How can you not have it on the list??!!!
Once and Again~One of the best shows ever.
The Wonder Years~Come On!!! Are you kidding me??!!!

Sweet Mon, Jun 30, 2008 at 11:46 AM EST

I can't believe The Golden Girls was so far down the list! Those jokes are still funny! I also 10th or whatever the omission of The Wonder Years. The tv list seemed much more balanced than the movie list.

Jen Mon, Jun 30, 2008 at 11:31 AM EST

Babylon 5 and Futurama.

Mike Mon, Jun 30, 2008 at 11:29 AM EST

I watch Entourage regularly. But let's face it: it had one great season (the second) and then it bought into its own hype. It's just not very good anymore, and if the next season is anything like the previous one I'll probably give up on it. (It's also gotten embarrassingly sexist.) So no, it doesn't deserve to be on the list.

Mike Mon, Jun 30, 2008 at 11:28 AM EST

Once and Again, Marshall Herskovitz & Edward Zwick's finest achievement -- even better than thirtysomething and My So-Called Life. While I can understand it not outranking those more culturally significant shows, it should have at least been slipped somewhere into the Top 100...especially considering much of the dreck that's on this list.

THE FRESH PRINCE OF BEL-AIR

Will Mon, Jun 30, 2008 at 11:14 AM EST

EVERWOOD

was amazing

C C Mon, Jun 30, 2008 at 11:09 AM EST

It hadn't occured to me that St. Elsewhere wasn't on the list until Richard mentioned it below! St. Elsewhere was unbelieveably influential-most of the writers went on to create/produce other series that ARE on the list. St Elsewhere's creators, Joshua Brand and John Falsey, created both Northern Exposure and I'll Fly Away. Tom Fontana worked on Homicide. Joel Surnow, who penned three episodes, is the co-creator of 24.

Julia Mon, Jun 30, 2008 at 10:59 AM EST

Dexter! How come you didn't include our favorite serial killer?

angela Mon, Jun 30, 2008 at 10:42 AM EST

I was dumbfounded by the choice of 'Saved by the Bell' Seriously? I would have included 'Once and Again'.

Richard Mon, Jun 30, 2008 at 10:41 AM EST

What about "St. Elsewhere"? I know it started in 1982 but it ran until 1987. Whithout St. Elsewhere, there would have been no ER. What about Cheers? Did your article intend to only include shows that began 1983 or after--it seems to. If so, it should have stated this. However, the article said shows of the past 25 years, so to be more fair and accurate it should have included shows that were on the air from 1983 on, regardless of when they began.

Sean Mon, Jun 30, 2008 at 10:41 AM EST

Strangers With Candy!
Veronica Mars!

Rob Grizzly Mon, Jun 30, 2008 at 10:37 AM EST

I'm surprised how many people are crying for Veronica Mars. Where were all of you when the show needed ratings?

I'm going to ask for the show that predates all teen angst on tv- The Wonder Years. It's like the grandpappy to Freaks and Geeks and My So-Called life. And it's amazing.

Also, if you're going to put Gossip Girl after barely a season, you better put Heroes. They've sort of redefined one-season wonder phenomenons.

wh Mon, Jun 30, 2008 at 10:34 AM EST

days and nights of molly dodd

Ian Mon, Jun 30, 2008 at 10:29 AM EST

ALIAS, Entourage, Veronica Mars, Weeds.

Hamburger Royal Mon, Jun 30, 2008 at 10:27 AM EST

Out of personal preference I would have loved to see Veronica Mars on the list as well as The O.C. (but their impact on pop culture - my definition of what makes something "classic" - remains to be seen). But I think you definitely omitted Firefly and Jericho. I mean, where's the Freaks & Geeks movie and how many people have sent cans of Tuna to CBS (thinking of it - yep, it had to be The Eye...) to protest the cancellation of Shark?

Broadway Baby Mon, Jun 30, 2008 at 10:19 AM EST

I agree with the tv list much more than I did with the movies list. Most all of my favorites were represented. A few kids shows need a little recognition however - particularly Bear in the Big Blue House for producing a kids show that most adults could stomach - something that Barney through the Wiggles have been unable to do for the past 20+ years.

Jackie Mon, Jun 30, 2008 at 10:14 AM EST

Alex, I totally agree. I was so disappointed that Alias wasn't on there. It combined action, drama and amazing cliffhanger endings every single episode. Brilliant.

Wojo Mon, Jun 30, 2008 at 10:11 AM EST

And here's another one. I vaguely remember a show about a kid whose life got flipped, turned upside-down. In West Philadelphia, he was born and raised, and on the playground was where he spent most of his days. To make a long story short, I can now dance "The Carlton" on command.

Susan Mon, Jun 30, 2008 at 10:10 AM EST

Oh come on, The Hills makes the list and WKRP in Cinncinati is nowhere to be found! Some reality shows are classics like Survivor and Amazing Race--I won't even quibble about real World. WKRP had everything: comedy, music, Howard Hesseman and the classic turkeys over Cinncinati episode. How could you miss this one?

Danielle Mon, Jun 30, 2008 at 10:09 AM EST

Really? No, Veronica Mars? It's bad enough the show got canned but you have to admit it is a new classic? Rob Thomas' mixed comedy, supsense, mystery with a feisty lead. Oh and how could you forget How I Met Your Mother? That is definitely a new classic. Even you critics have said it yourself. From the voice-over, the references to past episodes, Barney (Neil Patrick Harris practically reivented himself with this role. No more remembering him as that little nerd Doogie). Not to mention that the whole series is basically episodes told in flashbacks. Come on EW review your lists of the best TV shows of the year.

Dominique L. Mon, Jun 30, 2008 at 10:07 AM EST

Another Veronica Mars vote. And another Sports Night vote. The list wasn't all bad. Too much reality though....

whit Mon, Jun 30, 2008 at 10:02 AM EST

I agree that Scrubs and The Wonder Years should have been on the list. Some that shouldn't have been; The Bachelor. Seriously? X-Files was number 4 btw. The movie list was worse. How can you not include Forrest Gump and Shawshank Redemption?

Laura Mon, Jun 30, 2008 at 09:59 AM EST

Veronica Mars, and uh, the X-files is number four. Was that not high enough for you?

aymzer Mon, Jun 30, 2008 at 09:50 AM EST

Melanie Mon, Jun 30, 2008 at 09:37 AM EST

Veronica Mars!

Wojo Mon, Jun 30, 2008 at 09:31 AM EST

Oh, I think we also take it for granted that "Cops" and "America's Funniest Home Videos" (some of you hipsters might know it as "AFHV")remain on the air. You may sit there and say, "No, they're terrible!" But we all know that when there's nothing else on tv, you can always find reruns of both these shows on some random channel. If nobody was watching them, they'd have gone off the air by now. They've each been around for almost 20 years now.

Maybe I'm alone here Mon, Jun 30, 2008 at 09:27 AM EST

The Comeback should have been on the list. Sure it was only 1 season, but it was genius. I also think Romy & Michelle should have been on the movie list. Can you tell that I find Lisa Kudrow to be a god?

Meredith44 Mon, Jun 30, 2008 at 09:21 AM EST

I think a few of the shows on the list were overrated. Seriously, Freaks and Geeks at number 13? Also, while I know a lot of critics adore Arrested Development, I think the fact that so much of the potential viewing audience (including me, who usually likes critical darling shows) hated it and didn't watch means that it should be a lot further down the list than number 18, especially with American Idol (which I would argue has had an incredibly greater impact on television/culture, for better or worse) below it.

The only two shows that I would have liked to see on the list that weren't were Sports Night (although I can understand that, as the audience reaction wasn't there) and La Femme Nikita. LFN was not only a quality show in its own right (which stands up over time), but also had other impact. Nikita was one of the first female action characters (LFN was 4 years ahead of Alias), plus the creators used what they did there to set up a lot of 24 later.

Michael Mon, Jun 30, 2008 at 09:18 AM EST

I randomly saw the O.C. pop up numerous times through the issue but not where it truely deserved to be! How dare they leave the amazingness that was the first season of the O.C. off the list. It was incredible!

Meghan Mon, Jun 30, 2008 at 09:17 AM EST

Stargate SG-1 is the longest running sci-fi show on American television and it got beat out by Saved By The Bell? Now THAT is disappointing.

Also would have liked to see The Wonder Years or Veronica Mars get mentions.

Alex Mon, Jun 30, 2008 at 09:14 AM EST

Alias. Without that show, JJ Abrams would never have perfected the plot twists that made Lost a classic.

John K Mon, Jun 30, 2008 at 09:14 AM EST

No Wonder Years????? That's almost beyond an oversight and just a major gaffe really. Tsk tsk.

Wojo Mon, Jun 30, 2008 at 08:58 AM EST

Also, if talk shows were allowed on the list, then "Ellen" and "The View" probably should have made the list because of their ubiquity in pop culture. I think "Trading Spaces" should have been considered as well since it's practically spawned its own channels with a million different variations on its theme.

Ceballos Mon, Jun 30, 2008 at 08:58 AM EST

To MWC-

Cheers actually premiered in 1982, so I guess it was a year too early since this list covers the last 25 years.

However, you're absolutely right on "The Wonder Years"- there's really no excuse for leaving that one out.

Paul Ketz Mon, Jun 30, 2008 at 08:52 AM EST

Two David E. Kelley shows made the list...but neither of them was Picket Fences? What gives?

Wojo Mon, Jun 30, 2008 at 08:52 AM EST

I still watch "Entourage," but it is way over-rated. There's no way it belonged anywhere near this list. Now if you're doing some sort of instant classic duos list then Lloyd and Ari could probably make the cut.

Kerri Mon, Jun 30, 2008 at 08:45 AM EST

Wow, yeah, I definitely second both "Venture Brothers" and "The Wonder Years". How did you miss Kevin Arnold????

RP Mon, Jun 30, 2008 at 08:38 AM EST

I'm a little disappointed that there were all of two animated shows out of a list of 100.

Personally I think "Venture Brothers" is brilliant.

MWC Mon, Jun 30, 2008 at 08:33 AM EST

Two BIG ones - Cheers and The Wonder Years.
Scrubs and Family Ties should have made the list too.

Ceballos Mon, Jun 30, 2008 at 08:23 AM EST

Overall, I think you guys did a very nice job with the list.

I'd say the biggest omission was "Scrubs". I'd say its first three or four seasons were just as good and funny and touching as any sitcom that premiered over the last 25 years. The show also made a star out of Zach Braff, revealed John C. McGinley is a comedic genius and probably launched about 200 inside jokes.

Kate Mon, Jun 30, 2008 at 08:23 AM EST

Wow... Yeah - I just thought of Sports Night and Ed. But now that I've looked at other's peoples comments, I wonder how I forgot Scrubs, Veronica Mars, and Firefly.
I really did agree with most of the list. But my question with a "classic" is that it's supposedly a show you will go back and watch over and over again, right? Well who is going to do that with The Bachelor? Or even The Real World? I mean - I do think they've had an impact on the culture, but I don't know if they are "classics".

Krista Mon, Jun 30, 2008 at 08:23 AM EST

Veronica Mars and Firefly!

NineDaves Mon, Jun 30, 2008 at 08:17 AM EST

i've been waiting for this post because my first reaction to the issue was, "where is the love for degrassi!" talk about instant classic - whether it's degrassi junior high or degrassi high or degrassi the next generation, you've got brilliant television for teens (and some of us twentysomethings out there who love a little canadian melodrama!)

Megan Mon, Jun 30, 2008 at 08:08 AM EST

Yeah, the X-Files was in the top 10 on your list...my family had a big debate about whether that was deserved.

Entourage had 2 good seasons...it's not an instant classic.

I actually thought that unlike your movie list, your tv list was right on the money. All of my favorite shows that I think are classics were on the list, (Lost, Buffy, the Cosby Show, Six Feet Under, Sopranos, Seinfeld, Sex and the City).

How I Met Your Mother

And to think that Whitney must be having a fit over HIMYM's omission (I know I am). The show is, quite simply, legendary.

Hi Gary!

I thought you would like to watch the Volskwagen commercial with Gisele and Stallone. It was aired yesterday for the first time in Brazil. The commercial had a budget of $5m and was directed by Brazilian Andrucha Waddington. According to the media in Brazil, Gisele's salary was way higher than Sly's - she was paid $2.5m and he got "just" $800,000.
