Alf_l_2 Alf! Okay, it's just wishful thinking, but the dude's been MIA for a frakkin light year, and he could probably use the work.

First, light year is a measure of distance, how far light in a vacuum travels in 1 year. More importantly. I would love the Final Cylon to someone not on BSG but known sci-fi/lore. e.g., Nathan Fillion's Mal Reynolds or John Barrowman's Captain Jack Harkness

that's incredibly false. The distance from the sun to the earth is an astronomical unit, which is about 8 and a half minutes away at the speed of light.

To Amy: The term "light year" ALSO refers to the TIME it takes for light from the sun to travel to the earth in a vacuum within one Julian calendar year. It is one of the few units of measure that covers both time and distance.

Ya know what I hate? When people use "light-year" as a measure of time. It measures DISTANCE! Please!
