Watch '30 Rock,' from EW's New Classics Collection

Few comedies anymore know how to build a gag over an entire episode, much less an entire season. The "MILF Island" episode of 30 Rock, which you can watch in full below, takes a throwaway gag from last fall's season 2 premiere and develops it into an entire episode. (Viva DeBorah!) The delightfully absurd result is one reason why 30 Rock landed at No. 47 on our list of the Top 100 TV Series of the last 25 years in the current EW 1000 issue.

This is the eighth installment in EW.com's selection of 10 great episodes of programs on our top 100 list. We're streaming an episode from a different show every day, or you can watch the entire slate in one sitting at Hulu. The first half of the list is here; Part 2 is here.

I've said it before and I'll say it again!--Kathy Geiss is 30 Rock's secret weapon. LOVED the MILF episode and have watched it many times on hulu. I do hope the writers are getting a little bitty piece of pie every time I see it.

Two words Subway Hero. I miss Dennis - he makes me laugh so hard when says to Liz - "hey Dummy!" and rumples her hair. Famous line from Jack - when Jenna and Liz are fighting, he says "I'm bored - this is boring." Works in so many situations.

wise words from Jack Donaghy:
"hugging...so ethnic."
"never follow a hippy to a second location"
"votes for God? those count as Republican votes."

Do I spy Dule Hill in that screen shot?

I'm actually more partial to season 1's "Hardball" with Jenna suggesting the troops should hunt Obama down and giving her vote for Osama in '08. I love that episode so much, I'm gonna take it out behind a middle school and get it pregnant.

I tend to agree with Matty about the "MILF Island" episode. I liked the show-within-a-show stuff (DeBorah was classic), but the rest sort of fell a bit flat for me.

Still, LOVE this show, and can't wait for it to come back (as long as they don't feel they have to cast a megastar like Jerry Seinfeld in the season premiere and cram him into every scene.)

Viva La Rock!!
Please come back to TV soon Liz Lemon. I haven't laughed all summer w/o you and your gang of crazies.

I like the premise, but I actually think this is one of 30 Rock's worst episodes. I remember seeing this on the air and being super excited with it being the first episode back from the strike, and then I didn't laugh at all.
