Number one has to be "JPod" a tv show based on Douglas Couplands book. Crazy and original, has everything including romance, videogames, Chinese mafia kingpins, a cowboy and even Alan Thicke. If you haven't seen it you can check it out at www.cbc.ca/jpod As with all fabulous show I love it has been cancelled after only 13 episodes, but don't let that keep you away, fans are working hard to rectify the stations mistake.

My must is rewatching entire seasons of shows past...in particular and at the top of my Must List is 'Six Feet Under." The box set is great, with a cd and sweet extras on an additional DVD. Rewatching the show just drives home all the more what a travesty it is that the show wasn't more awarded when it was on the air...Frances Conroy, Peter Krause, Michael C. Hall, Lauren Ambrose...the writing...the directing...everything was brilliant. Definitely a must!

My Must List includes:

Idolatry on ew.com: There is nothing funnier - or more on the nose - than Idolatry. American Idol is fine on its own but every single person watching, competing and judging AI should be checking out Idolatry for the real facts.

Rock Band: This game has completely consumed my life. No other video game has done more to turn non-gamers into hardcore-rocking-at-the-top-of-your-lungs-until-3am-on-a-work-night-gamers.

Supernatural: I'm obsessively counting down the minutes until the final four episode grace my airwaves again starting April 24th. It's definitely "can't miss" TV. Umm... only 11368 minutes to go.

I know that nothing particular is happening with him THIS week, but Casey Affleck has joined my personal must list over the past few months. He really is an amazing actor and I hope to see more of him in the future.
If not Casey, I'll thow out Vampire Weekend as well. Their CD is so much fun to listen to!

Jpod, the series on CBC (canadian tv) is available for viewing online at www.cbc.ca/jpod/ and is awesome. Based on the book by Douglas Coupland, it has to be seen to be believed. Like nothing else on T.V.

I would say The Palace of Illusions by Chitra Banerjee Divakaruni. It came out in February, but I just recently got a hold of it. It's the story of the Mahabharata, the great Hindu epic poem, from the POV of one of the main female characters, Draupadi. It has beautiful prose, and it's definitely a book people interested in the Hindu religion and ancient India in general should pick up.

The documentary "The First Saturday in May". Billed as being "in the tradition of Hoop Dreams" it is the story of six horses and their trainers and the path to the 2006 Kentucky Derby, including Barbaro. An indie film, it has been making the rounds at film festivals and getting great reviews from the critics. It has finally gotten distribution in a few cities nationwide and opens on Friday. It should be a great introduction to the sport for those who are interested, as well as a great story and movie. i wish you would do a biggest loser recap. that show is under the radar, but it is fantastic. so uplifting- the best of reality tv. at least these people accomplish something and inspire w/ their screen time.

1. Bones, back from a too-long hiatus, solving murders and being awesome.

2. Eli Stone, which has been consistently entertaining from the first episode to, I know, the finale tomorrow. Here's hoping George Michael cameos as the God of Eli's subconscious.

3. WNYC's RadioLab podcast of the show--it's interesting, funny, with cool production.

1) Kristin Wigg on SNL. She has some of the most distinguished original characters (Target Lady, Judy Grimes, Penelope, Aunt Linda, Suprise Party Girl, etc.) Does some of the best "celebrity" impressions (From Peyton's "Face Time" to a spot-on Jamie Lee Curtis). And she makes even the most boring sketches entertaining. Yup - I'm in love with this ferocious funny female.
2) Melissa McCarthy on Samantha Who. McCarthy's Denna is like a cherry atop this sundae of a show.
3) pandora.com. The tagline says it all: "Listen to Free Internet Radio, Find New Music." Just type in the name of your favorite artist, song, or composer and they create a radio station featuring that music and more like it right there! Who needs XM?
