LMAO. That was the perfect performance to show along side the reading....

Genius! I love this, I will definitely be coming back to EW every week for more installments.

Is that for real?! Hilarious!!! Do they make those as books on tape? It so, Dalton needs to get his name at the top of the narrator list! :) Can't wait for the next one.

You know what, I want my own Chicken Soup for the [Insert Fav TV Show] Soul.

Wow... I think this should be filed under "I read it so you don't have to", but thanks for sharing, Dalton ! So much funnier that way !

Hey, thanks for giving Haley some love, even if it is of the snarky kind. I still think she has a smooth controlled voice and did well last year and deserves a recording career. Whether she's in pants or shorts, or singing to whales or people, she's great by me!

queen of disrepair Mon, Mar 17, 2008 at 05:28 PM EST

I am grateful that I live in a country where people and whales can live and perform in peace and harmony. Well, almost harmony - Haley's not THAT good...Please Dalton, next week - a reading from from the book of letters To Justin Love Kelly...

Wow, I meant hilarious. My bad.

Raven_Moon Mon, Mar 17, 2008 at 05:02 PM EST

That was hilarous.

You know Ep Sato - you're my kind of man ;)

Cara Mon, Mar 17, 2008 at 03:14 PM EST

That was just fantastic. Music to my ears. Can someone get this girl a three-book publishing deal? Complete with full-color illustrations of her various horrible outfits, of course.

Broadway, we agree that Trek won the debate. The Federation makes more sense than the oddball politics of Star Wars (Naboo elects 19 year old queens but appoints Senators).

I love Trek, but only TOS and Next Generation. Of the other three series, Enterprise had some great Klingon episodes but otherwise let me unimpressed.

Imho, Wrath of Kahn was one of the best sci fi movies of all time. But aside from 2, 4, and 8 I've not been impressed by the movies.

That's sort of my point. Even for big fans of Trek, there are plenty of negatives to be exploited. The weakest part about Star Wars (other than the Ewoks) were the points Dalton Conceded. IMHO, that was a bad starting point for a "my series is better than yours" argument.

Dalton is too much. lol. I totally forgot about Scarnato's barely there tacky shorts.

Kathgal Mon, Mar 17, 2008 at 11:34 AM EST

Oh dear...

Lyn Mon, Mar 17, 2008 at 11:19 AM EST

Dalton is hilarious. That's enough said.

Elizabeth Mon, Mar 17, 2008 at 11:10 AM EST

I think the footage of Haley with the black box over her clothes would've been the only thing to make that a little better. Fantastical!

Francine Mon, Mar 17, 2008 at 11:00 AM EST

This is the funniest thing I've ever seen. Easily.

brandi Mon, Mar 17, 2008 at 10:59 AM EST

Dalton, that was comedy. Please make your readings a regular.
Shamu was probably happy because Haley was performing in her didundiduns.

NineDaves Mon, Mar 17, 2008 at 10:40 AM EST

haley's words are like modern poetry.

should i expect this video series every monday? because if so, monday mornings just got a whole lot better.

Broadway Baby Mon, Mar 17, 2008 at 10:30 AM EST

Only two Trek series were any good? Only four movies were any good? What the hell are you talking about? Just with your conceding Episodes l - lll the ratio of good to bad movies alone gives the point to Star Trek. But actually this is an argument better left to someone who isn't so blinded by Worf - I admit I am too biased. In any case - Dramatic Readings debuting with a Haley Scarnato passage is genius.

bb Mon, Mar 17, 2008 at 09:33 AM EST

OMG that was funny, plus seeing the lack of clothing that Haley would wear, ah the good old days...

EP "Total Trekkie" Sato Mon, Mar 17, 2008 at 09:32 AM EST

I am a huge fan of the Glutton column, but Dalton Ross lost a lot of points with me when his Star Wars/Star Trek "throwdown" started off with "I concede all arguments about Jar jar and episodes I-III".

This is how he makes an argument for star wars and against star trek? Come now. After five trek series (only two were any good), 10 trek movies (only 4 were good. One of the worst of all, # 7, featured a way over the hill William Shatner as an "action" star), and a sad sacked rehashing, it seems to me like Trek makes for easy pickings. The Trekkies movies alone provide plenty of reasons why no parent should ever let their kid become a Star Trek fan...
