I wish the studios would give the viewers complete seasons of all the shows. And those DVD's next fall better be less expensive. I'm not paying full price for only half a season of The Office.

People, HIMYM is worth it! Crappy time slot, should be after 2&Half Men, but SO worth DVR space if you can't watch. I miss all the others mentioned here, Office, 30 Rock, more Lost, Housewives, etc etc, but frankly HIMYM is the only one on the chopping block. Also, I agree with BobH.. forget the hiatus, they had it, and those workers who have been out of a job for the past 100 days can be compensated. A good idea like that won't work for some shows (Lost for example, due to location), but it could for most. Still won't happen tho.

Has everybody forgotten about The Office? My Thursday nights have been so empty since the writers' strike and nothing has been able to fill that void. Thank god for Ugly Betty, then it really would have been bad. I want to know what happens with Jim and Pam, and why exactly does Michael hate poor pathetic Toby so much, and whether Ryan will end up being the big corporate zombie jerk that it eludes to him being. These are the buring questions that I've been waiting for.

Wait - on BobH's comment, he brings up the notion of no summer season but an extended regular season. Why doesn't this make sense to the studios and to production companies as a way of showing good faith for all the support that viewers gave during the strike? Wouldn't just eliminating crappy summer shows and finishing up the real season completely end up making more money for everyone? Can't they charge more for airtime for first run as opposed to summer filler?

I want Friday Night Lights and The Office above all else. (There's gotta be a flashback planned to Jim and Pam's first date, right? And their early courtship?) That said, I'm also dying for more Greek on ABC Family.
Also, I must say I am so thrilled this strike didn't happen when Gilmore Girls was on the air. If I had to worry about it like I do FNL, my goodness. FNL's treatment is SICK.

I know it doesn't have a huge following anymore, but I heard rumors a month ago that if the strike wasn't resolved ASAP, that Scrubs may not have an ending. I have invested so much time and energy caring about those characters to have an unresolved ending. The tears are already coming.

But I miss The Office the most. I really want to see if "Jam's" relationship is going to get more interesting. I hate it when you wait and wait for a couple to get together, then its boring. What is that?!

Does anyone else feel that Hollywood has had its hiatus and they should all go back to giving us our full season's worth of tv shows? Seems to me they owe it to all the thousands of workers they kept from a paycheck for 3 months to work thru their normal summer hiatus season. That they couldn't come to terms til the Oscars were threatened just proves their shallowness.

I'm jonesing for some "Office"...it's been WAYYYYY too long.

Most shows have aired new episodes in 2008, but not "The Office"

And even though there will be 5 additional episodes of "Lost" for a total of 13 for the season (which is better than the 8 we'd have gotten without a strike settlement), I'm pretty annoyed that, with only a set number of "Lost" episodes left until the show is over, we've all been cheated out of three.

Why don't the producer's of Lost just air the final 3 episodes of this season as specials during the Fall TV line-up? Then they wouldn't have to condense story lines and we would get three episodes next fall!

If the season is shorter, does that mean that the cost of the DVD for the season will be cheaper? Or will I have to pay more to cover the newly determined writers cut? Tell me now so I can start eating peanut butter and jelly to be able to afford season four of LOST.
