Pre-teen paparazza in throwdown with Gary Busey

What's truly disturbing about this video, shot at an Oscar-night party on Sunday, is not that Gary "I don't give shout-outs" Busey berates an 11-year-old celebrity reporter from an outlet called Starzlife.com... it's the notion of an 11-year-old celebrity reporter. Period. Aren't there child-cruelty laws to prevent kids from laboring under these conditions?

Gracie Stagg defends her career choice in this ABC News interview, saying "I've met Paris and she's not really like that," in response to Busey's remark calling the hotel heiress "a pathological liar."

What's scarier to you — Gary Busey's behavior, or Gracie Stagg as the new face of journalism?

I'd agree that Busey comes off remarkably well here. The little girl is unclear in her questions and he was very patient for putting up with her nonsense. It's scary how the English language is getting mangled by each successive generation. Pretty soon, we'll all be a nation of texters and misspellers and language skills will be lost completely.

Busey actually comes off well there. He manages to maintain his dignity against an 11-year-old entertainment reporter. That's something.

Wow, that was oddly disturbing. That the kid hung in there, was pretty amazing. She has a lot more composure at 11 than I do at 3xs her age. But the tenacity for shout outs and to get the interview was a little frightening to me.
Of course Busey is beyond nuts. He's getting to be like Britney Spears--more famous for stupidly acting out than actually doing their jobs.

I think Gary Busey was remarkably civil to this irritating and annoying you-know-what-I-mean. Unless they're nominated for their performance, children do not belong at these events in any 'professional' capacity.

I saw that little girl asking Gary Busey just one question repeatedly. Did she have a chaperone standing off to the side? I would have been more impressed if he lunged for Gracie's neck and sloppily snogged her. She could have kneed him in the nuts. I thought he was a Promise Keeper...guess not.

How about they BOTH leave the airwaves for another 10 years and then we'll see if we're interested in either one of them at that time...

The only thing I found truly scary was Gary's apparant lack of hearing. Other than that, I completely agreed with his nasty comments regarding Brittany, Lindsay and Paris. They are a bunch of mindless twits whose only chance for a real career now, in my opinion, is if they take of their clothes and spread their legs for the camera!

Gary Busey? Is that guys still around? Huh. I thought people actually had to work to maintain celebrity status - otherwise they're just washed-up.

I didn't watch the video, but I don't have to. I have a 12 year old and I would NEVER let her do something like this? Where are the parents? Good grief! If Gracie Stagg is the new face of journalism, that is Sign of the Apocalypse number 3,478,129.

Gary may have lost the plot in recent years, but at least he managed to make into his 40s before doing so. Plus, he IS an Oscar nominee.

I'm confused, does he think that he's a celebrity? For all his Britney and Paris dissing, he seems to contribute and offer no more than they do to society.

Children wig me out. Wretched, wretched things.
