ALynn Thu, Jan 31, 2008 at 12:46 PM EST

Season 1 of Friday Night Lights on DVD. As the networks run out of new episodes, its been a pleasure to get to discover some new shows with great writing.

And Lost coming back, but that goes without saying

Scout Thu, Jan 31, 2008 at 12:41 PM EST

1. Bryan Cranston on Breaking Bad
2. A Thousand Splendid Suns
3. The pathetic, VH1-riddled universe my family room has become, complete with Scott Baio, Rock of Love, My Fair Brady and, best of all, hot Dr. Drew on Celebrity Rehab. I'm going to need rehab after this much VH1, esp as a first-time viewer. Please end the strike already!

Nathan Thu, Jan 31, 2008 at 12:09 PM EST

2) the soundtrack to Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story-- How could the hilarious "Let's Duet" not be nominated for an Oscar for Best Song?

Kimberly Wed, Jan 30, 2008 at 10:23 PM EST

Ep Sato Wed, Jan 30, 2008 at 08:13 PM EST

Video Game: Harpooned. Download it for free at harpooned.org

Harpooned is a Japanese Whaling vessel simulator. With this game you go and conduct "research" (which helps to produce cans of petfood and whale burgers) while avoiding protesters, vigilante boats and the ever present media.

Created by anti-whaling folks in Australia to protest Japanese whaling, this tongue in cheek game is probably the funnest piece of political propaganda you've ever wasted your work time with. Funnest element? Play against your co-workers to see who can earn the most cash!

I found out about this a few days ago, and have been hooked ever since!

whit Wed, Jan 30, 2008 at 08:09 PM EST

Daniel Wed, Jan 30, 2008 at 07:32 PM EST

It's quite simple, actually- the sweet and perfect " Juno". Ellen Page is my new hero.

Rebecca Wed, Jan 30, 2008 at 04:29 PM EST

-'Torchwood' Season 2 on BBC America - so wonderfully cheesy you'll want some Ritz crackers and a glass of wine to go with it.

- 'Lost' returns! Now I can give my Netflix queue a little more rest.

- Guillermo del Toro "99% certain" to be directing 'The Hobbit'. My inner Geek is squealing with delight.

Joan Wed, Jan 30, 2008 at 03:35 PM EST

1. Sia, some people have REAL problems
The girl is on a roll.

2. Project Runway
Even though we've still got Ricky (gag me with a spoon, he's crying again) this show is totally addictive.

Liz Wed, Jan 30, 2008 at 03:24 PM EST

"Friday Night Lights" - Even when it's not at its best, it is still the greatest thing on television. Such a shame that the cast and crew continue to get robbed of recognition for their individual and ensemble accomplishments.

Sharon Gless as Colleen Rose on "Nip/Tuck" - Her stuffing of an agent on last night's episode has to be the most horrifying thing I've witnessed on television in a long time.

"The Aristocats" DVD - Not to be confused with a similarly titled movie about the progression of a dirty joke, this Disney movie has always been a classic in my heart, and I'm glad to finally see its release on DVD. Give it a few weeks and Disney will shove it "back into the vault", but for now I can enjoy my favorite jazzy cats digitally remastered.

Peggy Wed, Jan 30, 2008 at 03:21 PM EST

Torchwood Season 2 on BBC America. The show finally embraced its own silliness and is way more fun now.

MMJ Wed, Jan 30, 2008 at 03:20 PM EST

Chuck Nice as host of The Sizzler on Best Week Ever. He's hilarious!

And Rock of Love 2 - I'm enjoying its trashiness just as much as I did in season one. What happened to to the mini-watch??

QueenC Wed, Jan 30, 2008 at 03:18 PM EST

Since I don't want to steal matt's must list (which I love), here are my choices:

Heather Wed, Jan 30, 2008 at 03:10 PM EST

Lost - Thank god Lost is coming back! Now if only we can get some answers in before the eight episodes run out!

Kevin Ahearn Wed, Jan 30, 2008 at 03:06 PM EST
