Ooh, 'Heroes' dolls!

Jan 9, 2008, 06:04 PM | by Gary Susman

Categories: 'Heroes', Merchandising

Dolls_l Hey, strike-afflicted Heroes fans! Can't wait until the next episode of your show airs, whenever that may be? Now you can create your own adventures with Mezco's Heroes dolls! There's Claire, Sylar, Hiro, Mohinder, and two Peters (one flying, one earthbound)! And just like on the show, the Mohinder doll is totally useless and doesn't do anything! Sadly, there's no Molly doll to help you find the others if you lose them.

Help me out, PopWatchers; these jokes won't write themselves. Actually, they kinda do...

What? Hiro looks bootleg. I can make a rag doll that looks more like him than that thing. Were is Micah?! What about WEST? and Kristen. I was also waiting for Peter's irish girlfriend to feed to my neighbors dog!

Heeheeheehee ... you said "two Peters" ...

Throw the Haitian into the mix and the whole set will be pointless.

Man, where's the Kristen Bell doll?

mikey Thu, Jan 10, 2008 at 04:46 PM EST

"No, I didn't lose the Hiro doll, he just teleported away and is spending an excruciatingly long time in feudal Japan."

Also, can we be sure that a Mohinder doll didn't actually appear as a stand-in for an episode or two?

Phil Thu, Jan 10, 2008 at 01:52 PM EST

Is the Writers Guild strike now going to include an extra day of arguing of residuals from this merchadise too???

Bob Thu, Jan 10, 2008 at 11:22 AM EST

I'm surprised the Mohinder doll doesn't come with "sleep inducing voice recording". And why does every character have a painting? Is this arts class?

Action figures would be cooler. Sylar with real life brain chewing action! Peter with real life whining action! Claire with...real life breaking bones action? Hmm...maybe not.

RTA Thu, Jan 10, 2008 at 10:22 AM EST

Fun to play with until there's a strike and then you can't find them to save your life....

TheBookPolice Thu, Jan 10, 2008 at 10:16 AM EST

These things remind you just how good McFarlane Toys is at doing actions figures RIGHT.

Nose Thu, Jan 10, 2008 at 09:59 AM EST

What? No Ando doll with an expectant look on his face? No Ando at his desk reading ancient scrolls? How disappointing.

Peter Thu, Jan 10, 2008 at 09:16 AM EST

Reminds me of Spaceballs: 'No sir, I didn't see you playing with your dolls again sir!'

jcarla Thu, Jan 10, 2008 at 08:47 AM EST

If these were voodoo dolls there would be the 'wonderless' twins that I could dismember. That and I need HRG, yummy Nathan and Mr. Muggles. ;-)

PS Thu, Jan 10, 2008 at 08:31 AM EST

Can you play "real life" with the Peter (Milo) and Claire (Hayden) dolls?

orville Thu, Jan 10, 2008 at 08:22 AM EST

I agree--they should have a Niki/Jessica doll. It could be like the Skipper dolls of my childhood, but instead of growing boobs when the arms are spun around, she'd change faces and personalities. Do the Peter dolls mysteriously absorb the qualities of the other dolls?

Thu, Jan 10, 2008 at 06:26 AM EST

Where's Niki/Jessica? Mohinder gets a doll and she doesn't? Peter gets two but she can't even have one? Sexists!

Matt Thu, Jan 10, 2008 at 06:17 AM EST

The dolls are really entertaining for about one year. The second year... not so much.

donner Thu, Jan 10, 2008 at 02:28 AM EST

I hope the kids at Robot Chicken get their hands on a set of these and create some crazy-silly scenarios...

Thu, Jan 10, 2008 at 12:48 AM EST

And if I put Peter next to the other dolls, will he explode?

i wonder if i break an arm off the claire doll, if it will miraculously glue itself back on

KG Thu, Jan 10, 2008 at 12:21 AM EST

there's a mohinder doll?

why?

Caitlin Wed, Jan 9, 2008 at 10:31 PM EST

I didn't realize that everyone on the show apparently carries messenger bags.

lola Wed, Jan 9, 2008 at 09:47 PM EST

My god. My god.

Ceballos Wed, Jan 9, 2008 at 09:19 PM EST

It's too bad they apparently based these dolls on the season 1 looks, before Peter cut his hair...

Although it is kinda funny that there's an emo doll out there...that flies.

t3hdow Wed, Jan 9, 2008 at 09:03 PM EST

LOL Kris. That remark was priceless.

Wed, Jan 9, 2008 at 08:11 PM EST

Peter on land, another version of him flying.........they're missing the shirtess version.

Liz Wed, Jan 9, 2008 at 08:01 PM EST

Sure they make 2 Peter dolls but no HRG doll. that would be cool. They should have made teh Nathan flying doll instead of Peter.

Wed, Jan 9, 2008 at 07:59 PM EST

These are the lamest things I have ever seen. Seriously.

Kill the cheerleader, save the show.

Wed, Jan 9, 2008 at 07:25 PM EST

Did you read the caption next to Sylar? "Includes brain, basketball cap, glass shooting hand, ..." .

I think they've just invented a new way to get through security with "a sharp object".

Warning: Do not point at the eyes or any part of the body, or towards another person, unless it is your intention to see them suffer.

Kris Wed, Jan 9, 2008 at 07:23 PM EST

A Mohinder doll? Seriously? Maybe it's supposed to be cathartic and we can abuse the doll in all the ways we wish would happen to the real Mohinder on the show! I know I for one would like to see his little plastic body completely dismembered. Hmmm...Maybe that's the Sylar dolls special power!

furry_tom Wed, Jan 9, 2008 at 06:19 PM EST

Heroes action figures. "Save the cheerleader, stay a virgin."
