Spider-Man fights for truth, justice, and the United Nations way

Spider_l Gee, if only the United Nations had thought of this sooner: enlisting superheroes to serve in its peacekeeping forces in global hotspots. Of course, whether Spider-Man, by fighting imaginary enemies in imaginary lands, can also fight the not-at-all-imaginary PR problems of the UN — well, that's another story. Then again, why does the UN need imaginary heroes when it has real ones? Angelina Jolie was already turned into a cartoon this year, so why not make her into a comic book heroine? She may find the task of saving the world equally daunting in 2D, but at least she'll score the UN the fanboy vote.

I think people should actually visit the UN to become interested in the UN. Spider-Man or Angie do not come close to the experience of visiting it, which I did on a school trip last year. You learn of the customs and traditions of countries around the world, the history of the UN, and most importantly you come out extremely moved, and knowing that yes there are millions of horrible things happening in the world, but if we all believed in peace and tried to work out those problems, than maybe those problems could actually be solved and corrected. Corny and cliched I know, but from my experience there I would reccomend everyone go there.

Actually, though Spidey is imaginary, he lives in a real place (NYC in fact, the home of the UN). He was in fact the first superhero to live in a real city (as opposed to Gotham or Metropolis or someplace like that)

Well, I hate to say this but JAG's spin off is NCIS and before JAG ended, Mark Harmom and the cast of NCIS (minus Lauren Holly) was introduced so technically there really was a "Law and Order meets CSI" thing on television but it was only an episode.

Might need to add a Dirty Sexy Money scandal element to the mix just to ensure it captures audiences...

what the UN really needs is a hit television show that exposes the issues at hand. Something like Law and Order meets CSI.... but it would have to be good otherwise Americans will end up hating the UN more than ever.
