Paulina Porizkova replaces Twiggy on 'Top Model': Discuss!

80% of the black contestants for America's next top model create aggression or arguments within the house or on set at least once.

I'm just going to respond to the aggression part- how much indirect aggression which is actuallly more harmful did the indirect aggression that the white girls brought?

Actually Girl Aggression which is more sublte, can be more damaging and unproductive and is far more common in middleclass, white girls- not saying one race is right but that's not helpful either.
I'd rather someone get a conflict out on the table then hide it.

However, calling people white trash is also messed up= are you listening to yourselves because you've both made some close to racist comments? That's messed up on both sides. One race isn't better- and those statistics are useless.
White culture says we should be subtle or not have conflict, whereas black cutlure is more accepting of it- which I personally wish was more common in white culture.

Also I think that Twiggy brought something different to the panel as she is english. This gives a different view on the judging, as although it is America's next top model. Tyra also talks about how they are going to be international.

Paulina is so annoying! She is also extremely biased, once she takes a disliking to someone, she will continue to vote against them in panel for the rest of the series. In th episode I watched this evening she was going to vote against cycle 11 contestent Hannah because she had not produced a picture that she had personally liked. I love the way that Tyra cuts across her when she goes off on one like that :)

Lisa Wood needs to re-think her words i believe. You're calling Twiggy racsist but i just noted you be rascist about two or three times. I think the whole point in pointing out someone's errors disintergrates when you partake in the so called bad behaviour. I honestly beleive that Twiggy is not racsist, her judgements upon the contestants was based upon their performance. When most of the Afro - Carribean women on the America's next top model stood before the judges they displayed a huge amount of attitude and unwillingness to work, no pattern just conincidence. It was good to see Twiggy go. though her criticism was somewhat fair, she always seemed to only go for the typical blonds.

I didn't really cared. I love both of them. One thing I don't like about Twiggy is that she startet the Maud fashion, I don't like Maud.
But I love both of them just the same, and I'm still sad because I like Janice Dickinson a lot better!

I was disappointed with this season due to the choice of replacing Twiggy with Paulina. Paulina's ego, nastiness and overall presence was a complete turn off! I was elated to see that Tyra put her in her place. Hopefully next season she will be replaced by someone more likeable such as: Elle McPherson or Carol Alt.

I think Paulina is very beautiful, but I prefered Twiggy because Twiggy was honest but always polite to everyone. Paulina's saying that Anya looked dumb really upset me because Tyra would never have said that. There's a big difference between saying, you look dumb and you don't look smart. Tyra would have said, if that was her opinion, you don't look smart. Being a top model gives you no right to belittle top model candidates. She's beautiful on the outside but inside she's not pretty. See....the difference there. She's not pretty....I didn't say she's ugly.

People love Simon on American Idol because of his "honesty". I don't. People have trouble with self-esteem enough without being bullied like that.

I am so happy that Twiggy is being replaced. She is an old wrinkled lady who is 100% racist. I feel sorry for her. She must have grown up during a time when blacks were mistreated 24/7. Now when she sees a beautiful young black girl in all her pride and glory, poor wrinkled Twiggy does not know what to do. She has also probably noticed as she gets older that black skin does not wrinkle as badly as white skin does and that is probably killing her. Time to go Twiggy, you are an old wrinkled white hag and you look like white trash.

Paulina seems very bright and quick. I don't think you're going to get any bland, generic comments out of her! And she still looks good, in a Cougar kind of way. Should be interesting.

Watching past re-runs of ANTM on mtv it shows that Janice, while pretty brutal sometimes, was trying to help the girls and gave them little pointers. Twiggy has never offered any helpful suggestion.

I have no thoughts on Paulina other than enjoying her one bit of rehearsal footage, finding her delightful and being disappointed she was kicked out of DWTS first (or second).

I DO have thoughts on Twiggy: She's brought nothing to the show every since she was added...not a single thing. She's a waste of space, and I only wish the CW had announced that the not-quite-as-useless Miss J had been replaced to.
