Conan O'Brien grows a strike beard

Nov 30, 2007, 11:45 AM | by Vanessa Juarez

Categories: Viral Video!!!, Writer's Strike

As the writer's strike continues, it was reported yesterday that Conan O'Brien would pay the salaries for his nonwriting production staff of about 80 people for the foreseeable future. (NBC is set to lay them all off today.) The gesture reminded us how much we missed the man and his pompadour. Sniff. What's worse is the folks over at Late Night Underground (which is run by Late Night With Conan O'Brien staffers) perpetuate said sniffyness with with this video tease featuring the host in threads we've never seen before: leather jacket, strike beard and cowboy boots. It's a good look for him, no?

Aw! I miss Conan! That was a great look for him, though. I can't wait for the strike to be over!

Nice job Conan - he's a true stand-up guy!
Who on earth is going to cross the line to appear on Carson Daly? Who on earth actually watches Skeletor's show?

I heart Conan. Come back! *cries* And he's looking mighty fine with that beard.

I love Conan and can't wait for the strike to be over so he can once again grace us with his presence!

This IS a good look for him. But, I still think he wears a freakishly large amount of makeup when he's on TV.

Just another reason why Conan is cool. He loves ZZ Top!

As if we needed more evidenced that Conan is king and Carson Daly's a massive tool.

I realize Conesy probably has more money (though I'm sure Carson isn't exactly starving), but Carson could've at least done what Letterman and Worldwide Pants is doing...pay the non-writing staff out of pocket till at least the end of the year and the holidays and continue to show support for the writers a while longer by not crossing the picket line. Who knows maybe the strike could be resolved by then?

Conan is so cool. Since I can't see him on the tube these days, I hope to see more of him on the 'interweb'.
