How painful is 'The Real World: Sydney'?

Nov 29, 2007, 06:25 PM | by Lindsay Soll

Categories: Reality TV

Realworld_l After being the TV Watch writer for The Real World: Denver season, I vowed never to watch the show again. What with Colie's drunkenness, Jenn's looseness, and Brooke's all-around psychosis, I figured I had paid my dues to the reality-show gods three-fold.

Fast-forward to the premiere of the Sydney season a few months back, where cast members Kelly Anne and Trisha ganged up on Parisa before the first shrimp landed on the barbie. I'm not sure how or why it happened, but suddenly, I found myself reeled into to yet another RW house. Dammit!

Anyhow, the juiciest drama this season has involved the "ladies," and last night it came to a climax. So much so that I begged my PopWatch editors to let me do a blog post on the ridiculousness (thanks, guys!).

So here's the setup: Last week, Trisha (a self-righteous, judgmental California girl and self-proclaimed child of God) shoved Parisa (a native New Yorker who is just as stubborn as she is insightful), after Parisa refused to get off the phone. That was a no-no. Physical violence is not allowed in any RW house (which is apparently written into their iron-clad contracts...probably right below the line that says, "You must drink any and all alcohol put in front of you, live damage or not!"). That incident left Parisa with a choice last night: Boot Trisha from the house, or resolve their issues and continue living under one roof.

Long story short: Parisa said buh-bye to Trisha, leaving Cohutta bewildered, Dunbar happy ("Trisha was definitely by far the most manipulative, most conniving, calculating person in the house," he declared), and Kelly Anne and Ashli enraged. (Seventh roomie, Isaac, however, has been MIA ever since his bewildering run-in with a black bird.)

The sequence of events following the eviction—including Trisha's parting words to Parisa: "I'm the one who speaks what everyone else thinks that you're worth, and you're nothing"—might as well have been staged in an 8th-grader cafeteria.  Kelly Anne and Ashli (who barely knew Trisha, since she just replaced ex-roommate Shauvon) paired up to form "Team Trisha," and vowed to make Parisa's life a living hell. This led to classy tactics like spitting on the glass of the phone room while Parisa was in it. Maybe next week they can toilet-paper her bed and spread a rumor that she cheated on a test!

I can see why some of the roomies are mad; Parisa's decision was harsh, as is pretty much everything she does. But on the other hand, I also think it was commendable that Parisa didn't let a bully use physical force to intimidate her.

So, assuming I'm not the only person alive still watching this show (and not afraid to admit it), here's what I want to know: Which team are you on? And is this perhaps the most childish and catty RW season yet? Finally, isn't Ashli's arrogance/fake laugh more annoying than Parisa and Trisha combined? Join the support circle for RW addicts in the comments section below!

does anyone know the rap lyrics that ashli, isaac, and parissa made when they were on the cantiki bus episode?

Christine Thu, Jan 17, 2008 at 12:29 PM EST

Team Parissa all the way, Trisha's the fat girl not Parissa. I swear everytime Trisha was on the show she was stuffing her mouth with something.

Real World Sydney was pathetic, I believe Dunbar's behaviour was violent and very aggressive towards the females within the house. I recall he was called DUMB BEAR by his girl friend via the phone. As a consequence Dunbar went ballistic again. He began thumping his fists in front of the girls and made threats towards his alleged girl friend on the video phone, apparently calling from the US. On another occassion he told Trish "As a person who has hit lots and lots of people there is nothing wrong with it, it's the intent that matters!" This was in support of Trish after she allegedly assaulted Parisa on a ealier eposode.
However I noted that when Dunbar was filmed out in the Pubs and Clubs in Darling Harbour Sydney, he kept well away from the big Aussie blokes. Whilst out and about he was much more layed back and far less aggressive. He in fact only yelled and screamed, thumping his fists when the girls of the house were around to wittness his tirades. DUMB BEAR

Team Trisha, Parisa is the most painful boring persons I have ever witnessed on reality telivision. I could'nt believe the way she treated poor Trisha, with her foul mouthed filthy language and tirades of abuse and aggressive gestures. I believed Parisa's provocative actions led to a situation whereby Trisha had no other alternative to make her point and get Parisa thinking straight by using moderatre physical force. I believe that Trish by pushing Parisa made her wake up to herself and allowed her to develop as a person. Parias is at best disfuncunctional. At worst she is a manipulative Ring Master organising the house mates.
Parias was just jelious of Trish and her ability to forge meaningful relationships with females and local male's within the local bars at Sydney & Darling Harbour. I found it quite disgusting that Parias called Trish "Miss Piggy" and further went on to say "Just keep on eating, youv'e got a disgusting gut since youv'e been here!" Poor Trish shame Parias!

Parisa is the most annoying TV character ever!!!!!! She's so overcontrolling, self-centred, and such a hypocrit!! "No one ever puts themselves in my shoes" ...well its not like she puts herself in other peoples' shoes either. And she's constantly in other people's business. It seems as though she doesn't get along with anyone in the house..er wake up lady, maybe you are the problem.

mesohorny Sat, Dec 29, 2007 at 06:25 PM EST

Has anyone else noticed Trisha's obvious nose job?

Cheryl Mon, Dec 24, 2007 at 12:16 AM EST

Parisa is the most annoying character on The Real World Sydney. She's from a Muslim family, but she acts like an angry slut. Her attitude towards the other housemates is so defensive and self-righteous.

robin Sun, Dec 23, 2007 at 10:03 PM EST

I feel like Parissa is too busy trying to make everyone see how intelectual she is she is not
enjoying her time in Sydney. On the other hand,Trisha is too busy trying to show everyone what a god fearing person she is,she is not geting to know Parissa. They both got off to a bad start and never allowed themselves to let it go.I think Parissa could have been the bigger person and let Trisha stay but I don't think that would have changed their relationship at all.I think if I was there,I would have told them BOTH where to go and how fast they could get there. They never even realized how much alike they really were. They both think they are so much better than everyone else.If Parissa joined the group for more than just drinking at the bar maybe she would be more well liked. And what the hell is wrong with Kelly Ann?Just when I think she has the potential to be a good person.I was crossing my fingers that when she was leaning over the railing to spit on the glass that she would fall=0

M. Smith Thu, Dec 20, 2007 at 01:27 PM EST

I like how everyone is with Team Parisa. I support Parisa 100%. Trisha's behavior was repulsive and I was so relieved that Parisa eliminated her from the show. Dunbar is so hot and I can see why Parisa wanted him but his temper is outrageous. Parisa, sweetheart, I have a strong hunch that he is attracted to brunettes, I mean come on KellyAnne, Julie, and Ashli. You need to get an aussie cute. I adore their accents. Well like I said Team Parisa all the way!

Thu, Dec 20, 2007 at 01:16 AM EST

I think all the girls on this show have dirty vageegees (va gina) next season they should cast a bunch of vir gins on a quest to lose their virgin ity... now that would be something to watch!! Oh yeah.. team PARISSA (even though she's just a dirty cootch) but Trisha's cootch looks like it's been around the world and back and looks like it might've had surgery along with her face!! "I wonder if they 'tucked' or cut of her male thingy?"

Thu, Dec 20, 2007 at 01:03 AM EST

TEAM PARISSA!! Trisha made the real world painful to watch. When she pushed Parisa, I wanted so badly to bust through the screen and kick her plastic surgery ugly face. KELLYANN AND ASHLI ARE LOSERS!! THEY NEED TO GET A MIND OF THEIR OWN. THEY'RE JUST AS PATHETIC AS TRISHA AND THE OTHER TWO TONED FAKE (SHA...SOMETHING).

kayla Wed, Dec 19, 2007 at 07:56 PM EST

TEAM PARISA! They're both bithches but wtf are you serious, is Trisha 5 ?! She pushes her, wow, you're retarded. Cheating, fighting, geting totally smashed and you're a christian, sweet life kid.

Tue, Dec 18, 2007 at 12:59 PM EST

whatever

Lauren Mon, Dec 17, 2007 at 11:48 PM EST

ummm all i can say is that parisa is a complete b****. she clearly hates all the other girls in the house and girls in general and i hate her!! i think you read this situation all wrong- parisa is a total loser who kept trying to get with a guy who hated her!! team trischa all the way!!!!

Kate Sun, Dec 16, 2007 at 10:08 PM EST

Team Parisa all the way!

Shel Sun, Dec 16, 2007 at 09:11 AM EST

You should read Trisha's defense for her behavior saying MTV editied her to be the b**** of the house, and how she never cheated on Jared, right, if it looks like a hoe and talks like a hoe then its probaly a hoe.
Also Ashli and Kelly -Anne tried to justify the whloe spitting crap by saying they were both drunk!! go back to middle school.

aj Sun, Dec 16, 2007 at 09:04 AM EST

As a fellow christian I was shocked by Trisha's behavior, as a woman i was shocked by all of their behavior, Team Parisa, but both have some growing up to do and seourisly Julie run as fast as you can Dunbar is a psychocan someone say domestic abuse!

toni Sun, Dec 16, 2007 at 08:59 AM EST

I think its a toss up between RW Denver and Key West for wost RW cast and show ever but Sydney is definetly in the top five, TEAM PARISA all the way!

Addison Sat, Dec 15, 2007 at 02:46 PM EST

hahaha that is true... while I dont think Parissa is at all fat she is ALWAYS eating

and since when did flatiron damaged two toned hair come in style recently for anyone other than single mother dancers working at the stripclub next to the airport??? gross

LikeOMGHeCalledMeA6 Thu, Dec 13, 2007 at 03:19 PM EST

Tricia and Shavoun- outdated stripper hair and both think way way too highly of themselves (there are plenty of guys out there that would not look twice at you girls let alone rate you a 10- especially not with repulsive attitudes like that)

Ashli- another one that thinks way too higlhy of herself. Could this girl be any more annoying? She needs to do something about those moles that are taking over her body and find her own man. PATHETIC. Oh and the spitting was a real classy touch.

Parissa- how does this girl always manage to have food in her hand when the cameras are on her? Its really impressive, but that aside, good for her for sticking up for herself

susan Sun, Dec 9, 2007 at 07:34 PM EST

can't waite for the next show.i am soooo happy that trisha is gone.parisa stay strong.i guess miss kellyann will have to grow up.i hope she isn't going to have a baby.i would feel so sorry for cohutta he would be stuck forever with her.i wonder have would shauvon done if she was there when trisha push parisa.who side would she take.i guess she would have to show the world who she really was.a real person and told trisha she was wrong or be just a dumb blonde and side with trisha.like i said GOD would not be happy how trisha is showing and doing GODS work.

Mrs2Mac Thu, Dec 6, 2007 at 08:26 PM EST

TEAM PARISA! I have hated the way everyone in the house has dumped on Parisa this whole season! Good for her for sticking up for herself. To those who think she went to far by making Trisha leave - can you imagine how it would have turned out if she stayed?? Trisha would have been sweet for like a day, but then would have become ten times more psychotic at the drop of a hat because she would know feel that Parisa was spineless by letting her stay. KellyAnn is stupid. She has no mind of her own and just goes around following whoever she feels is more popular in the house. Ashli isn't much better. She knows Dunbar has a girlfriend and doesn't want to cheat, but every chance she gets she's rubbing all over him or climbing into bed with him. Cohutta seems cool - level headed and gentlemanly. And Issac - He's hot and off the wall. I LOVE HIM.

I feel so bad for parisa! she is like the ONLY reasonable girl in that whole house! I luv u girl! stay strong!

Steph Wed, Dec 5, 2007 at 07:32 AM EST

TEAM PARISA!!!! I don't understand why all the girls hated and ganged up on Parisa!? I mean she was a little annoying and all but not so much that she deserved to be bullied by the whole female cast!!!! I honestly wonder if those girls (especially Trisha) are racist or something????? The hate really centered on Parisa. BTW isn't their more to being a christian then just telling everybody your a christian?!

Cozy Wed, Dec 5, 2007 at 07:10 AM EST

I well bad to Parisa, cause this cast is the most un-diverse cast ever. three white boys and three white girls, and then poor Parisa as the only minority on the show. With stupid Cali girls hating on you, who have the lower IQs then a five year old.

meli Tue, Dec 4, 2007 at 08:15 PM EST

TEAM PARISA! Even before the fight I was in her corner. I mean she has some maturing to do and she can be annoying with all that singing all the time. But these are kids they're young and one day, shell learn how beautiful she is and won't need to look to others for approval and acceptance. she's smart and has a good head on her shoulders. Now that cat Tricia, it was time for her to go. It was the best thing for her. If she was allowed to stay could she ever look back and see the mistakes her mouth has made? Yes, I'm surprised I still watch this show. I think they need a den mother.

Meg Sun, Dec 2, 2007 at 11:21 PM EST

Wow, what a great "Christian!" I've always thought that Jesus condones violence, hatred, cheating and hideous hair, just as long as you are willing to sing your favorite pop hymn in the streets of Australia. And as Jesus himself was spit on, I feel sure in saying that he would root for TEAM TRISHA.

susan Sun, Dec 2, 2007 at 09:57 PM EST

pirsa was so right to send that girl home.she is so fake.grant they both said things they shouldn't have but she had no right to put her hands on pirsa.trisha needs to just shut up.everytime she opens her mouth something stupid comes out.god is not happy with her.i don't know what church she goes to but i would never go there if thats the kind gods work they are teaching.now that she is gone oh happy day.kellyann needs to just shut up.ashli has no right to say anything she just got there.but she loves make trouble and i guess she will make enough for dunbar.he needs to sleep alone.i feel for his girlfriend she will have her heart broken.dunbar will lose her all for a little b---- tht he will most likely never see after the show.

quesak Sun, Dec 2, 2007 at 05:28 PM EST

Do the Christian Community a favor and become a closet Christian until you mature. Seriously you are a seriously bad example of what it means to be a Christian. Until you do, put away your fish stickers, crosses, and bible. Tell no one you are a Christian.

Christina Sun, Dec 2, 2007 at 03:41 PM EST

The Real World today is in no way the Real World 10 years ago. Its a redundant show, with a cast who has the same expectations every time. These people are fortunate enough to live in these amazing cities, but never seem to represent themselves with any respect. This cast of girls that were picked make this show really show its long overdue expiration date.

After watching this last episode, I think it should be a reality check for all the people involved to make it come to an end. The immature cast, and producers, and MTV.

And Team Parisa! I respected her tempermant and tolerance for some idiotic women she lived with!

Brandon Druch Sun, Dec 2, 2007 at 03:39 AM EST

I have never gotten so heated about a tv show before this last episode. I don't really like Parisa, but Trischa was WAY WAY WAY out of line. I didn't think the push was that big of a deal and I wouldn't have sent her home, but I respect Parisa for doing so. What makes me angriest is that Trischa went out of her way to tell Parisa she is "nothing." That's bordering on Nazi bullshit, believing another human has no value. Then it gets worse as Kelly Anne who I once liked freaking spits on the windowof the phone room. I don't think Ashli is mature enough to realize. She pretty much just agrees with what Trischa and Kelly Anne say but doesn't have her own opinions. I would give anything to get in that house and bust some skulls. These women are out of control and incredibly disrespectful of each other. As I said, Parisa isn't great, and she can be cocky and annoying, but she is not blatantly rude unless provoked. I am offended for her.

JB Sat, Dec 1, 2007 at 11:11 AM EST

This show is still on the air? Really?

EJ Sat, Dec 1, 2007 at 01:03 AM EST

"And is this perhaps the most childish and catty RW season yet?" Absolutely.

Nom Sat, Dec 1, 2007 at 12:03 AM EST

Trisha you are no christian you are so mean, heartless, and hurtful. Your apology not sincere I am upset I watched the show with you on after I hear you make the comment of the person who works at McDonald and they couldn't get your order right because they couldn't speak that well of Englisth. I think knowing Paris's family was from another country the way you approached it was clearly a shot at her and an embarassement to Americans and Christians everywher I hope you get what you deserve which is a big wart on the end of you nose WHITCH!!

DanOregon Fri, Nov 30, 2007 at 06:49 PM EST

You get four hot women together (all of whom are used to being "the hot one" in their circle, and this is what happens.
In terms of "youth-genre" reality, I think RW has fallen below The Hills.

Laura Fri, Nov 30, 2007 at 05:27 PM EST

does anyone know what the song is thats at the end of the episode? Some of the lyrics are "no regrets, not today"

amber Fri, Nov 30, 2007 at 05:03 PM EST

i hate that i love this friggin show so much. all the chicks on this season are unpleasant in some way or another, but having to choose between parisa and trisha is easy. parisa may be annoying and whiny at times, but she is DEFINATELY the most tolerable. i was so glad to see her stand up for herself and stick firmly by her decision (despite team trisha trying to intimidate her). trisha reminded me so much of the shallow, two-faced, spoiled, evil girls on my super sweet 16 and im glad she finally got put in her place (kudos parisa). and i can only hope that kellyann and ashli will grow up by next week's episode and realize that trisha deserved to get sent packin. parisa sure has more restraint than i do, i probably woulda jumped on trisha if she woulda pushed me- then we'd both still be on there. but despite all the other wierdOs on this show.. isaac and cohutta make me wanna sign up for next season!

Glad Trisha Got the Boot Fri, Nov 30, 2007 at 04:44 PM EST

TEAM PARISA

Keri Fri, Nov 30, 2007 at 04:37 PM EST

Team Parisa! I loved loved loved her calm response to Trisha's final speech. "Enjoy your flight." AWESOME! I bet Kelly Anne will be singing a different tune next week when she hears that both Dunbar and Isaac hated Trash-uh too and are glad that the trash has been dumped. She is always morphing into what she thinks the boys will like. GO PARISA!

Mr. H Fri, Nov 30, 2007 at 04:00 PM EST

Team Parisa, without a doubt. I can honestly say that the behavior exhibited by the two-faced, immature, better-than-thou Trisha makes me sick to my stomach. Her words and actions do not suggest Christianity, if anything, they showcase Satanism at its finest. And for some reason, the wool has been pulled over her parents' eyes; they seem to think she's an angel sent from God. I hope they watch the show to find out what a wicked witch their daughter truly is.

JohnnyChilders Fri, Nov 30, 2007 at 03:57 PM EST

As a Christian (Ah, let the flaming begin. Sarcasm, of course. I hope), it makes me sad that, really, this is usually the kind of people that always get cast as the "Christian" on reality television. Very rarely do we get to see the loving, compassionate, and understanding Christian. I know they exsist, I've met them. I consider myself to be one (humbly speaking, of course). Then again, that wouldn't make good television, which is why producers most likely weed those kind of applicants out. However, I'm sure they find they've hit pay-dirt whenever someone of "Christian integrity" like Trisha shows up in a casting session. "A two-faced, tempermental, bigoted, bully who claims to be a representative of Jesus? Sign here, please!" And even though these handful of people barely make up a slight number of the actual Christian population (although its sadly growing)...the fact that they are on TV make the stereotype all the more real.

quala Fri, Nov 30, 2007 at 03:16 PM EST

team parisa she is the real one in the house trisha is fake and has a lame personality and she gangs up in parisa for stupid reasons and I think she is fake as hell

Fri, Nov 30, 2007 at 03:14 PM EST

I'm on team PARISA because trisha is very harsh and mean and she had no reason to push Parisa and parisa speaks the truth and trisha is just a haiter.

cbc Fri, Nov 30, 2007 at 02:59 PM EST

I think the most disturbing thing about this season is that two girls on the show thought that having blond hair on top of dark hair was a good look. It was beyond trashy. Trisha needs to stop pretending she's religions. Oh and anyone from Fresno gives up any right to be snobby about anything.

Christine Fri, Nov 30, 2007 at 02:25 PM EST

Definitely Team Parissa. As a true Christian I get angry everytime she says the word Christian let alone claims to be one. She sleeps around, drinks heavily, lies and cheats. She is a closet bigot("I have a better religion, family, friends") and she thinks she is better than everyone else. We all know she has the beauty and appeal of sewer inside and out. Plus someone should tell her that true christians are good people trying to live a life modeled after Jesus Christ. Also she isn't as pretty as Parissa because she needs to wear 20 pounds of makeup to look decent. Parissa rarely wears makeup and she looks awesome. Hope "Trasha" sees this and then crawls back into the hole she slithered out from.

Lois Fri, Nov 30, 2007 at 02:18 PM EST

I watched the first ep of this season out of boredom one day and was horrified by those two whores chosen out of CA. Let it be clear that they are from central CA, which says a lot about the both of them. Especially Trisha. She's just wretched and never deserved to be picked for the show in the first place. PARISA=WIN. MTV=LOSE.

alexa Fri, Nov 30, 2007 at 02:12 PM EST

I can't stand the childish drama. Why can't they get real people with issues on this show and get back to it's roots. People who actually care about something, have a real job, etc. This is why I stopped pretty much watching the show...it's just a bunch of pretty people that are boring and have no morals.

Sara Fri, Nov 30, 2007 at 02:12 PM EST

Parisa is the most self-righteous, annoying, crazy roomate of them all. (However, it's like saying she's the smelliest of the poo.) Everytime she's on the screen, I want to push her too! Although, I have enough class that I probably wouldn't. She is unbelievable--the way she acts so snobby to Dunbar and yet wants to get in his pants at the same time is disgusting. Trisha tried to be Parisa's friend during the restaurant challenge, and Parisa ruined it, because she's so high-and-mighty. Keep calling your mom, Parisa, she's the only one who will believe your bullsh*t.

Tasia Fri, Nov 30, 2007 at 01:35 PM EST

Me and my friends had an interesting conversation about Trisha and how she is the representation of everything wrong with Chrisitians. How can you call yourself a Christian in one sentence, then curse, and talk down and have an elitist attitude in the next. This is why so many young people are turning away from the Church. Did anyone notice when she said she was better than Parisa because of her religion, her house etc.? I was appalled. I will pray for her...

Jeff Fri, Nov 30, 2007 at 01:33 PM EST

It seems I'm in agreement with the entire nation. Team Parisa all the way! That girl isn't perfect, and she definitely is stubborn. But come ON. She also cooks for the entire house every night (I loved the moment when Shavoun took the grilled cheese sandwich and turned it into a house fight). Parisa has been gettin' it good since she moved in, and I was happy to see her stick up for herself. The moment Trisha said "I just pushed a fat girl" shows that she is NOT a real Christian. If she was, she would never judge someone in such a horrible way.

PJ Fri, Nov 30, 2007 at 01:04 PM EST

This show is in the crapper. It's hardly about how the roommates adjust to "The Real World" as it is a bloated, shallow soap opera. I gave up watching this depressing abuse-a-thon years ago, and I know I'm not the only one, because MTV would rather run marathon "Beauty and the Geek" hand-me-downs than place this dreck on its schedule more than once or twice a week.

Ellipsian Fri, Nov 30, 2007 at 01:03 PM EST

Team Isaac! I think I'm a little bit in love, even with his random and various (and occasionally prophetic...) avian visions.
But between Parisa/Trisha, it's Parisa by a mile. She ain't perfect, but Trisha is a freakin' nightmare and has Officially been ranked as one of my most hated "RW" cast members ever. What a hypocritical, ugly, and untruthful heffa she is!

KJ Fri, Nov 30, 2007 at 01:00 PM EST

thumper103, thanks for the info! Here I was thinking he broke up with her before she came on the show...

This whole show makes me very sad for my generation.

Jersey Girl Fri, Nov 30, 2007 at 12:37 PM EST

Team Parisa!! I couldn't stand Shauvon or Trisha from the get-go. Mainly because of their heinous hair. Ashli annoys me and I feel bad for Dunbar's girlfriend. I wonder if they are still together? I used to like KelliAnne but now I think she's just a hick.

Team Parisa. There is no doubt in my mind she made the right call. Moreover, as an attorney in a major global law firm, I believe Parisa would make an outstanding lawyer. She has everything a firm looks for in rising stars: ability to think on her feet, see and articulate complex issues clearly, defend positions despite unpopular sentiment. And she has impeccable judgment. Parisa, if you're out there reading this, you need to consider a career in law!!!

Team Parisa Fri, Nov 30, 2007 at 12:20 PM EST

Parisa nailed the whole situation when she said: "you're only sorry now that you know the consequences of your actions"

Katie Fri, Nov 30, 2007 at 12:06 PM EST

Team Parisa all the way! I know that she hasn't always made the best decisions, but when you are constantly picked on by the "mean girls" and retain your cool, occasionally not handling things in the best way happens. I am glad that both Trisha and Shavon are gone. Shame on MTV for casting two girls who were for all intensive purposes the same person. Seriously, I had to wait till MTV put their names on the bottom of the screen in most shows to figure out which vapid blonde was which. Also, did anyone else picture what Dunbar's married life would be like when he got into a phone fight with Julie (dummybear!)? Can anyone else say "domestic abuse??" As much as I despise this show (and myself for watching), I just can't turn away!

thumper103 Fri, Nov 30, 2007 at 10:49 AM EST

Shauvon left because her boyfriend(fiance?) said he'd breakup with her unless she came home. I agree that this season contains the most juvinile acting girls, but to me the worst season was the Florida Keys bunch. team Parisa all the way!

thumper103 Fri, Nov 30, 2007 at 10:49 AM EST

Vicky Fri, Nov 30, 2007 at 10:37 AM EST

Team Parisa. Trisha is awful. Calling Parisa fat. Claiming she's this good Christian. Some of my friends from college were super religious and in no way did they ever act like Trisha. I'm not saying every Christian is perfect and doesn't have some growing up to do, but you don't need go throwing it everyone's face as a defense for your terrible personality. That's not what religions are for. So yeah, Parisa can be annoying and stubborn, but I'd be stubborn too if my roommates treated me like that. Since day one, Parisa has been treated like sh*t. She walked into the house and because she wasn't super happy friendly, they claimed she was rude and a b*itch. Sometimes it takes people longer to open up. Not everyone can explain their life story right from the start. I'm glad Trisha is gone and I love the clip for next week of Kelly Ann and Issac: "You didn't like Trisha???" "NO ONE liked Trisha." At least this season there's more than heavy drinkin' and sex-capades. Also, I hate Ashli.

Cam Fri, Nov 30, 2007 at 09:57 AM EST

I'm so glad I didn't get sucked in this year. I made the decision not to watch after I saw the "preview episode". I said to myself, "Self, why is it MTV could only find white people and 1 muslim willing to go to Australia?" A big part of the draw of RW for me has always been sticking people from really different backgrounds in one house together. So yeah, I'm saying it - where's the black people? Are there even any gay people this year? WTF? If I want to see a bunch of southern boys and Cali girls hanging out together I'll go to a country western bar.

A.J. Fri, Nov 30, 2007 at 09:55 AM EST

THANK YOU! This really has been the worst season of the real world ever!!!!! They are all like friggin babies. I dont know why I keep watching, but i do...and hate myself for doing so every week. I think they should have just given Brooke (from Denver) her own spin-off show where you watch her just go crazy. Isaac is seriously the only slightly normal one in this sorry ass bunch

BC Fri, Nov 30, 2007 at 09:54 AM EST

I would put my money of a Muslim from NYC kicking an airheaded Bible-thumping blonde's rear end ANY day of the week. I think Parisa was being spiteful as opposed to feeling threatened...and I loved every minute of it!

nay-lo Fri, Nov 30, 2007 at 09:40 AM EST

Team Issac! But if I had to choose betw Parisa or Trisha - Parisa all the way. She's intelligent, funny and stays clam when everyone else flies off the handle. Trisha is worthless. I forgot to set the DVR to tape this episode, so I haven't seen it yet - can't wait until I get a chance to see it.

Melissa Fri, Nov 30, 2007 at 09:26 AM EST

Definitely Team Parisa. I watched about 6 episodes in a row on my DVR, and I think I literally sat there catatonic for most of the time --- just in total and complete shock that this is how some (or most?) women are.

Parisa is quite annoying too, and I probably wouldn't like her if I lived in the house, but I KNOW with 100% certainty I would hate Trisha, Shauvon and Ashli. That "girl code" mess made me want to punch someone.

I was starting to think Kellyanne was pretty adorable, due to her relationship with Cohutta (the only sane one), but the spitting incident made my stomach turn. What a disgusting, immature person.

And Dunbar is one second away from snapping and killing someone. Mark my words. What a psycho.

Hutchy Fri, Nov 30, 2007 at 09:21 AM EST

Anyone with even slight familiarity with zealous Christians knows that always the fallback excuse: only God can judge me. That excuses all sorts of bad behavior because hey, they will sort it out with God later, right? (rolls eyes)

jes Fri, Nov 30, 2007 at 09:13 AM EST

I admit that Parisa can be annoying but one of the things I like most about her is how calm she is when the others (Trisha & Dunbar mostly) are in-your-face yelling at her. "Team Trisha" is really just a group of junior high Mean Girls...the pretty (outwardly only) popular girl and her minions. I was so happy to see that self-righteous, holier-than-thou beeyotch leave the house. And even happier to hear Parisa's response to Trisha's "I'm the one who speaks what everyone else thinks..." tirade. Calmly "Have a nice flight.".

sabrina Fri, Nov 30, 2007 at 09:13 AM EST

i hope trisha goes online to see what people think about her after this episode, to see what the whole nation thinks. pretty much here goes trisha if u ever read this: U F-ING SUCK!!! DOES YOUR MOTHER KNOW SHE RAISED SUCH A WHORE?

kelly Fri, Nov 30, 2007 at 09:03 AM EST

I am disgusted with the behavior this season. I could not believe that these girls...and I stress the word girls...are acting this way. I was floored when I saw spitting occur. I have not seen such vile behavior from a would be Christian, a two faced KellyAnee, and Ashli who is a half wit. None of those girls has a single iota of worth in friendship, compassion, or personality. I would chew off my own leg before I had to put up with them in a house. God Bless Parisa. You are a stronger woman than me!

Sailor Fri, Nov 30, 2007 at 08:58 AM EST

Team Parisa! All the girls are ridiculous but Trisha tops them all.

KJ Fri, Nov 30, 2007 at 08:41 AM EST

Ok, I stopped watching this season once network TV came back on for the fall season. What happen to Shauvon? Why'd she leave?

TSD Fri, Nov 30, 2007 at 08:19 AM EST

Trisha sucks! I used to like Kelly Anne, but now that her IQ is the same number as her age, she's on my dislike list. Parisa is annoying, but I like her. She did the right thing by getting Trisha out, but kelly Anne and Ashli (horse girl as I like to think of her) are acting our in revenge trying to get Parisa out of the house. This is not Survivor! There is no need to do that. I'm just happy that Parisa finally stood up for herself. They have been picking on her since the beginning.

Fri, Nov 30, 2007 at 04:47 AM EST

trisha is such a hypocrite. she claimed she was a christian and always talked about how no one can judge her but god, yet whenever she had the opportunity to judge someone else she did. the first day they were there she told parisa she needs to get a personality. both trisha and kelly ann would gang up on parisa and try to make her feel bad for something, even if trisha was the instigator. she left parisa with some nice parting words, showing that had she stayed she would have been just as bad as before she had pushed her. and that ashli girl, she had been there for 2.5 seconds. she is the girl that tries to sleep with your boyfriend, while still trying to be your best friend. this is one of the worst real worlds i have ever seen in regards to maturity. like you said, the first thing that trisha said was "i just pushed a fat girl," not acknowledging that she had done something wrong, but trying to make her point ok by saying parisa is fat(when is very obviously is not.) what an idiot.

Nikki Fri, Nov 30, 2007 at 04:38 AM EST

Team Trisha.....NOT!!! Trisha is the most ruthless, conniving b*tch and I am so glad she was sent home. Yay for Parisa for sticking with her decision and getting rid of that "Good Christian" wanna be. As for Kelly anne and Ashli, grow the f*ck up. I liked Kelly anne, up untill now and as for Ashli, you should of never had gotten that chance to be on the show. You are a horrible replacement roomate. Both girls are such followers and obviously don't have a brain to think for themselves. But besides all of that I LOVE ISAAC!!!

Marianne Fri, Nov 30, 2007 at 01:00 AM EST

Thank you for this post. I watch this show wondering everytime why I'm still watching a show I hate and wondering if everyone feels the same way I do or if people actually relate to awful human beings like Trisha, Ashli, and Kelly Ann.
Trisha was just an evil, spiteful b****. The other 2 girls are the most immature people ever. Parisa isn't perfect at all. She annoys me too, but compared to the other girls, she seems amazing. I wouldn't mind living her (minus the singing) and eating her food she seems to like to cook for those ungrateful a**holes.
As for the boys, Isaac is awesome, Cahutta's honest and funny and I like that, and Dunbar's an idiot, but growing on me.
I like the previews for next week where Isaac come back and seems happy that Trisha is gone and says "nobody liked Trisha."

Me Fri, Nov 30, 2007 at 12:35 AM EST

I could not stand Trisha and Kelly Ann, 1 down, 1 to go.

lauren Fri, Nov 30, 2007 at 12:32 AM EST

have an all girl real world. there would be no one left by the end of the show except for a couple of big girls who have a good sense of humor.

Green Gummi Bear Fri, Nov 30, 2007 at 12:20 AM EST

I ask my self every time I watch the show, why the hell am I still watching this? This is horrible! And I really felt it last night. Trisha is just an ugly human being, she couldn't wait to call Parisa fat, "dad, I just pushed a fat girl". Uhm...what? No wonder girls have body image issues these days with people like her. Parisa is nowhere near fat...and honey, just a few more years and you'll be much bigger than her. You can just see how lazy she is, and with her selfish attitude, she is SO going to be one of those girls who thinks she's hot even though she eats whatever she wants and falls apart. She's Britney in two or three years. And don't even get me started on Shauvon, every episode I just could not ignore how big and fake her boobs where, how could no one in the house not wake up and say "my God woman, did you tell your doctor make mine a double?"

Kat Fri, Nov 30, 2007 at 12:03 AM EST

The only person I feel bad for is Trisha's dad. He's probably been under the delusion that is daughter is a princess, i can't imagine what it must have been like to watch this and realize his daughter is a wretched human being.

The MIZ Thu, Nov 29, 2007 at 11:58 PM EST

I consider the RW as an audition for the RW/RR challenge. The girls on this show are just terrible, terrible human beings. It'll be fantastic to throw them back together in the next challenge. Drama.

stephanie Thu, Nov 29, 2007 at 11:50 PM EST

and to answer your question, jen, I've been watching the real world since I was 8 (yes, since season two). it's quite sad! but I love trash tv, what can I say?

stephanie Thu, Nov 29, 2007 at 11:48 PM EST

TEAM PARISA!

honestly, trisha has bothered me from the get-go. forget the fact that she's a christian; she's just a terrible person and incredibly immature. pushing? who does that? and does this not remind you of a bad day in 7th grade when kelly anne and ashli started spitting on the door? I hope that when these three watched themselves last night they were dreadfully embarrassed by how they acted. I fear for their (potential) offspring

Jen Thu, Nov 29, 2007 at 11:29 PM EST

I too cannot answer for why I watch the show and beyond that why I feel the need to comment on it. I guess that part of me needs to know, for the sake of my faith in humanity, that others are just as bothered by how horrible some of these girls are. I don't expect much from MTV, but Trisha is just about the ugliest, depraved, and soul-less creature ever plastered across their channel. I love how any admission of wrongdoing dissolves as soon as the outcome does not suit her. It just shows how twisted her sense of right and wrong is. And her mindless gaggle of hags in tow! If they have an ounce of dignity, they will at least feel ashamed of themselves.

Rakeem Thu, Nov 29, 2007 at 11:17 PM EST

Team Parisa all the way!!!! Did anyone else's head spin when Trisha called Parisa fat? WTF? And she is so ignorant, immature, pigheaded, stubborn...and the list goes on! Sure, Parisa has her faults but they are nothing compared to the stupidity that was/is Trisha! And used to like KellyAnne but now I'm beginning to despise her, they are so childish!

brina Thu, Nov 29, 2007 at 11:08 PM EST

team parisa for sure! i'm so glad you wrote this post, since i watched the episode (and i agree, i cant believe i'm actually watching this season!), i've been looking for an article. very happy to see so many can see who trisha is. she's a terrible person. i was absolutely shocked with what the roommates were saying at their meeting and so glad parisa stuck with it and kicked her out! i hear they wont be getting another roommate, which is unfortunate - i was hoping they'd finally get another minority - which i think would help out. glad isaac is back next week - and honest! wonder how kelly anne (who is such a follower) will react when she hears his opinion.

Sheena Thu, Nov 29, 2007 at 10:30 PM EST

Team Parisa. I never liked Trisha. I think she is a B****. I hope when she is watching the show. That she see's how much of a B**** she is and maybe grow-up. I used to like Kellyanna but not anymore. She also need to grow-up. Ashli is acting like a slut. I love Isaac and Cohutta. I also dont care much for Dummybear(LOL). Parisa has her moments but nobody desevers to be treated the way these girls have treated her. I also never like Shavon. She also acted like a slut.

Marie Thu, Nov 29, 2007 at 10:18 PM EST

I am so embarrassed that morons like Assli and Kelly Anne troll the earth. Trisha is lucky that Parisa didn't charge her with assault especially when everything was caught on camera. Watching a RW episode is draining thanks to Trisha's negativity and bitterness. I hope that all the girls start growing up fast. I would be scared if any of them have off springs at their current bitter and petty state.

LK Thu, Nov 29, 2007 at 10:08 PM EST

wasnt trisha the one who mocked some McDonald's cashier for not speaking english well?? and she calls herself a good christian?

Parisa has gotten on my nerves but she seems the closest to reality out of all of the girls and I'm glad she got rid of Trisha..cuz trisha wouldve just resorted to her old ways after thanking perisa for not kicking her out

whats also funny is how those two acted with that one guy..theyd get pissed at each other for "sharing" him and he would lie to them about which one he likes more..a sane girl wouldve been like ok youre messing with a girl whos got a man (trisha) and you want to be a player sooo im peacin out

im ashamed that these people are my age

to janet Thu, Nov 29, 2007 at 09:36 PM EST

Janet, stop defending your religion. people say that about Trisha because she claims to be an amazing person and a great Christian, then she says terrible things and acts incredibly catty, thinking that its ok to do those things bc she believes in G-d. parisa never claims to be the perfect Muslim, just a Muslim. there lies the difference.

Thu, Nov 29, 2007 at 09:33 PM EST

Those girls are so clueless as to think the guys would still want Tricia in house. I can't wait for the reunion show when hopefullythe audience is wise enough to boo everytime she opens her mouth. To call Parisa 'fat' was beyond pathetic. Everything out of her mouth is a joke, including her praying for gay people. I hope her boyfriend is smart enough to dump her, but seeing as though he was stupid enough to go out with her in the first place, chances are they are still together.

Jon Thu, Nov 29, 2007 at 09:21 PM EST

Every year, I vow not to watch the Real World & yet get sucked in every year. Is MTV somehow transmitting an opiate-like signal through my MTV? Solid ep. Parisa had no choice but give Tricia the boot. I had the feeling that there are some racial undertones that are at play as well.

Janet Thu, Nov 29, 2007 at 09:04 PM EST

We're living in the 21st century; what is it with the fact that there can only be one phone in the house? MTV knows that this is a great way to create drama, which is the only reason for it.

It's interesting how everyone talks about what a bad representative Tricia is of Christianity. Funny thing, I don't remember anyone ever saying that Christians had to be perfect. Believe me, we mess up just like anyone else. The difference is that we know we're saved by grace and not by what we do. Tricia is a Christian who has a lot of growing up to do. You know who gets it? Tricia's dad, when he told her to ger back there and apologize to Parisa. That's a Christian attitude.

BTW, I don't see Parisa acting in accordance with her Muslam faith; or do we just expect less from someone who says they are Muslam than someone who says they are Christian?

kitty Thu, Nov 29, 2007 at 08:51 PM EST

Team Parisa and it's b/c of the way everyone in the house has treated her. Thank goodness, Parisa did not back down when there was the house meeting. Tricia is the worst kind of Christian...the kind that constantly that spouts what "good Christians" they are when you just know they aren't. Goodbye to the rubbish..now if only Assli would go!

miklane Thu, Nov 29, 2007 at 08:37 PM EST

Hate to say it, but if I were Parisa and Trisha had pushed me over, I would've just gotten up and decked her. Trisha is such a mean-spirited person, and I can't believe that she goes out of her way to talk about her Christianity and then immediately makes Parisa-is-fat jokes. She's the definition of the cruel and spoiled SoCal princess. That's not to say that Parisa is perfect... she's unbearably annoying and plays the victim card way too well. Together they made excellent trash television. I probably shouldn't be watching, but I am!

kevstar Thu, Nov 29, 2007 at 08:05 PM EST

Team Parissa, mos def. Trisha is the epitome of the`vain, manipulative young girls you see on My Sweet 16. She just hasn't grown up. I would have kicked out not because she pushed me, but because we don't need another self righteous "Christian" reality-show character. ENOUGH ALREADY!
