R. Kelly's "Real Talk, Behind the Scenes"

Oct 5, 2007, 07:44 PM | by Leah Greenblatt

He is no longer trapped! The closet has been busted wide open! Mr. R Kelly has some talk to give you, and it is very, very REAL, ladies and gentlemen. The latest clip from the inimitable urban bard showcases, once again, the scatological poetry that flows from his mind like a river of, well, something brown.

We can't decide what we love/despise best: Is it the fuzzy slippage of side ponytail? The sweatshirt that appears to have been borrowed from the DeBarge family archives? The fact that Kelly believes paying for a lady to get her "hair, toes and nails done" entitles him to speak rudely to said lady? Please, dear readers, help us make up our minds, or offer your own take. Warning: the language is super not safe for work, so cubicle monkeys, take heed:

I like the bit where he says: TURN THE F****** CAMERA OFF, But I know that he's only joking.

I like that Real Talk scene because I know that it's only a play he's doing. I will always love R.Kelly.

it's time for Robert Kelly to face his 21 counts of child porn.
Contact:Stateattorney@cookcountygov.com and let them know how you feel about this man roaming free to do whatever he wants.

Funniest "music" video I've seen in a long, long while. Only R. Kelly can get away with this BS. Real talk!

Anna Mon, Oct 8, 2007 at 12:23 PM EST

Well it was the lead prosecutor that gave birth. She's not exactly easy to replace since she's the one most familiar with the case and, presumably, the one most likely to bring in a conviction.

I'm curious, Theo, in which communities would this "song" be considered music? Or humorous for that matter?

When his trial starts?? Do you know why the last one was continued? (Which makes how many now?)Because one of the Prosecuting Attorneys had her baby. Like she was the only one that could handle the case. Plus the fact that it has been five years now,he has been running free doing whatever the hell he wants. Who knows what he's doing behind closed doors? The girl is around 19 or 20 now, even if he paid her off the state of Ill is suppose to Prosecute his ass any way. Kelly is thumbing his nose at the law with his money. Says a lot about the legal system of Ill. You can do whatever the hell you want as long as you got the almighty green backs.

I think R. is unique in that his stuff is considered music in one community and humor in another. That said, the only people dumber than R. are the people who buy his stuff.

Looks like he just decided to throw a vid together in the studio. He wants attention, good or bad. He'll get all the attention he wants when the trial starts.

Oooh thanks for the Kelly link Jonathan I didnt even know there was a second video out for kelly's project. I like the clip its pretty and the fantasy feel is alot more interesting than most boring video concepts these days

Hey EW.com you should do a 'Snap Judgement" of Kelly Clarkson's brand new video for Don't Waste Your Time: http://www.romanwhite.com/kelly.htm

What has become of this individual? I know i will not be purchasing his music or listening to it anymore. In the closet video's were sick, now this. He needs some counseling for real.

I am shocked that he has not gone on trial and sent to jail....YET!! It is a shame that someone with a voice like that, who could have such a wonderful career is showing himself to be such a low life. If he is being "REAL" in this video...I get what he is saying, but that is no way to speak to females. But what else can you expect from a dog who urinates on them? Stop with the continuations of his trial and send this jerk to jail. He is NOT above the LAW!!

Katherine Sat, Oct 6, 2007 at 07:17 AM EST

Is this a joke? Or is this supposed to be a music video? Either way, it's pathetic.

ChrisChicago Fri, Oct 5, 2007 at 10:23 PM EST

Wow. I mean...just wow.

Just goes to show, money can't buy class. Although, I already knew the man leaves plenty to be desired. And he is getting uglier by the minute.
