My hottie is hottier than your hottie, Mandi.

It's rare that I'll call out one of my colleagues here on PopWatch but because I've been forced to journalistically consider the weight of "hotties" for the last several days I feel I'd be remiss if I let Bierly get away with that nice-but-not-HOT Redford action she posted earlier. Instead, I present a series of clips featuring Jeff Bridges in The Fabulous Baker Boys, set to Rascal Flatts' frustratingly catchy "What Hurts the Most." You tell me if this smoldering pile of Man I Could Save If Only He'd Let Me doesn't make your plans to go watch the Yankee game alone with a glass of scotch tonight seem even more depressing than usual.

Hey, Whitney, nice article in Sports Illustrated. She really loves (and knows) her baseball, people.

Jeff Bridges in Against All Odds!!! HOT!! HOT!!! HOT!!!

servo Mon, Oct 8, 2007 at 08:46 AM EST

Jeff Bridges, hands down. Although the song kinda detracted from the montage for me.

Martha Sun, Oct 7, 2007 at 06:19 PM EST

Nope, I said it in Mandi's post and I'll say it again - it's all about Harrison Ford. Jeff Bridges definitely has it all over Robert Redford (who is/was pretty, but not sexy) but still can't smile or save the galaxy/hunt for artifacts like old H.F.

Why, for the love of Beau Bridges, wasn't Michelle Pfeiffer on the female version of this list? Morgan Fairchild, but not Michelle Pfeiffer?

On another note, the Yankees lost tonight, Whitney, so that is something to celebrate, with or without a scotch.

English classes nationwide would be lucky if Whitney would teach them. You're a tool.

Jeff Bridges is the MAN

Dio_K Fri, Oct 5, 2007 at 07:23 PM EST

Don't listen to the mean, Whitney. You're wonderful. Buuuut, gotta say Tom Selleck made me drool. Funny and hot--how can you miss? Of course I was very young, and years later, Keanu bumped him with his first "dude". And yes, I realize I have questionable taste in my fictional love-life.

Lesley Fri, Oct 5, 2007 at 06:34 PM EST

Normally I agree with you on everything Whitney (except that song) but Robert Redford was my top pick and Jeff Bridges was maybe number five. Very sexy man, but I would say more underrated sexy than sexiest of all time.

Another inane post by Whitney--can you please go teach English at some high school and stop writing for EW? Thanks.

Diana Fri, Oct 5, 2007 at 05:46 PM EST

I'm sorry Whitney, but I'm going to have to go with Redford on this one. There is one (much) older man I could gaze at for hours....

FLIPPER Fri, Oct 5, 2007 at 05:40 PM EST

That song stinks. The movie doesn't.

Marcus Fri, Oct 5, 2007 at 04:06 PM EST

I said it on the last one and I'll say it again because it is true: Madonna is beating Lisa Bonet for the women?

mike Fri, Oct 5, 2007 at 04:03 PM EST

I've seen The Fabulas Baker Boys dozens of times. The reasons are the great dialog, Michelle Pfeiffer singing and the Boys playing the pianos. You might have made your case better if we could have heard that instead some pop-country ballad.

mandi (not bierly) Fri, Oct 5, 2007 at 03:59 PM EST

wow, a showdown between my top two choices. this is tough . . .

but not that tough. jeff bridges wins! :) excellent choice.

Louise Fri, Oct 5, 2007 at 03:44 PM EST

I'm totally with you Whitney. I have had a crush on Mr. Bridges since elementary school. I love that movie!!!!!!!!!
