So Target is going to start selling a line of David Bowie-inspired clothes this weekend. Designer Keanan Duffty says he was influenced in part by the circa-1976 Bowie — the nattily-dressed Thin White Duke of the Station to Station album and the well-groomed alien Bowie played in the film The Man Who Fell to Earth. Which is a relief, because I think clothes inspired by Bowie's Ziggy Stardust/Aladdin Sane/Diamond Dogs period just a couple years before (as in this 1973 photo) might be a slightly tougher sell.
