Menudo to perform at Arthur Ashe Kids’ Day!!! The popular full-day tennis and music festival for children and families – including interactive games, musical entertainment, and tennis clinics – will be hosted by MTV’s Susie Castillo and Nickelodeon’s Quddus. The festivities are set for Saturday, August 23 at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in Flushing, N.Y., from 9:30 a.m. - 4 p.m. Also rising star singer/songwriters Demi Lovato, Colby O’Donis and Menudo will team with tennis superstars Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal, Andy Roddick, James Blake, Ana Ivanovic, Novak Djokovic and more for. Sam, even if Ricky Martin IS gay it doesn't seem to me that anyone is hating on him for it. Quite the contrary, it seems most the "gay postings" have been from fellas who would love it if he played for their team. That's not mean or nasty, it's a way for men to say they think Ricky's good looking. I still wish Sandra Bernhardt and Portia De Rossi would date guys but that doesn't make me against them.

In addition to Ricky having several number ones on the Latin charts, he is on a very successful tour, having recently set a record in Puerto Rico by selling out his concerts four nights,testified before Congress against child trafficking and modern slavery, helped build more than 200 homes for tsunami victims, was named the Latin Recording Academy's person of the year as a humanitarian, founded the Ricky Martin Foundation and is one of the 100 most influential hispanics in People Magazine (that's just some of what he has been doing) Oh, and I am a woman fan and he is still a fantastic performer and a really nice guy--but you just want to make nasty comments speculating about his private life, don't you?

The ALL Latino rehashed version of the 90's was more often referred to as just M.D.O., you know when we were all about shortening things to mere letters, such as Mtv's T.R.L. (Total Request Live). As for the queens on this board wondering where Ricky has been hiding (BESIDES THAT HUGE WALK-IN CLOSET) he put out an Mtv Unplugged disc last year, and the successful Latin single, "Pegate" will soon be heard on a gay dancefloor by you (lets face it, almost all straight clubs only play hip-hop music anymnore), since its just been remixed by Ralphi Rosario!! The three other meanings are to refer to a group of kids (not so common anymore, but the meaning of Menudo the band allegedly gets it's name from) or the change in one's pocket. The third term is to imply frequency, as in "voy al cine a menudo" (translated: "I go to the movies every now and then").

I believe the reason vanessa Juarez used the Mexican recipe-possibly she is Mexican, and this is familar to her. I am guessing because of the last name. Either way, it's comical. It gave me a good laugh this morning. Also, Ricky Martin looks good.

menudo wasn't mexican, it was originally composed by all Puerto ricans, and its producer, is also puertorican!

They'll be laughing too, all the way to the bank! I won't listen to them, but expect my 9 year old sister will have all their posters and albums. Is this band going to be all Puerto Rican like the original Menudo or all latino like the rehashed Menudo of the 1990's? Or will Menudo now incorporate a multi ethnic crew?
