In the club with Timbaland and Timberlake

Timb_l "Ricky Bobby is in the house!" With those words, Timbaland — noted Talladega Nights enthusiast and producer extraordinaire — kicked off the party he threw last night at NYC club PM to preview his upcoming album Timbaland Presents Shock Value.

The crowd was a star-studded one; without a separate VIP area, A-listers wandered casually throughout the club's single cozy room. Over in a candle-lit corner, Justin Timberlake sat chatting with friends and (be still our hearts!) reading the latest issue of EW, which features writer Ethan Brown's in-depth look at Shock Value's creation. Soulful singer Citizen Cope bobbed his head appreciatively to the beats nearby. The only star who wasn't mingling was Timbaland himself, who stayed high above the floor in a DJ booth for the entire time that his album played. Towards the end of the disc, lead Pussycat Dolls singer Nicole Scherzinger, who's currently on tour with the rest of the Dolls supporting Christina Aguilera, joined Tim in his lofty perch;  "She's no longer [with the Dolls] —s he's by herself," he announced before Scherzinger hastily shushed him.

Oh, and the music? That was as impressive as expected, starting with a wicked cut that flipped a sample of Nina Simone's classic "Sinnerman" so that Simone seemed to be crying out, "Oh, Timbaland!" Songs featuring cameos from Missy Elliott, 50 Cent, Fall Out Boy, Elton John, and many other famous members of Tim's fan club all kept partygoers hopping; no doubt repeat listens will reveal the wealth of experimental nuances that the maestro typically delivers.

Around 10:30, after playing the final cut, Tim descended at last to sip red wine and crack jokes with Justin. Without any more of his new music on hand, the club chose to blast a series of others' current rap hits — hot songs all, but somehow they just couldn't compare.

American music gave birth to so much great music,
Gospel, jazz, blues, soul, rock, rap but today popular music is in freefall
and Timbaland is the ultimate symbol of this trend.

Timbaland:Music for marketing.

Timbaland is well liked by the "critics" (pay by the big corporations) because they can say "Now I understand black music! That's good black music."
What they like in Timbaland "music" it's the Techno/Pop/synth/Gay sound played by a black man.
His "music" is souless, cold, mechanical and said nothing. It’s the perfect beat for the fascist Bush years.
Perfect for the white pop artists who got nothing to say but pretend to play “black music”.
Perfect for black artist who want to reach the white teens/gay buyers.
For 10 years it's the same beat with a new sound stolen somewhere (Arabic, Indus or Finnish music).
Boring after 8 measures, and feed by force via all the clear channel/MTV.
The Financial power decided that "Timbo" was the perfect good big black (and propably gay) boy to r

Not again: They don't have a point. They merely exist.

Not Again Mon, Mar 26, 2007 at 09:47 AM EST

Not just a vampire, a gay vampire.

I really don't have much use for either of them to begin with. I don't hate them on the level that I hate Fergie, Paris, PCD, Kevin Federbubba, etc.

But GOD, what's their point?

All this hanging out w/ Timberfaker is just gonna make me start to hate Timbaland.......and that's not fair. And why does JT look like a vampire?

I just want to add Howard Stern to the club. In fact, they can title themselves "The three Amigos." All three look like rehab is certainly in the works.

Justin has joined the tired looking club. He should join Eminem for lunch and then the two can check into a sleep clinic. They are looking wasted. Justin looks fifty, and Eminem has a double-chin that should be on a person at least sixty years old.

Justin's looks are down the drain. He needs to stop partying so hard. He is looking downright ugly!

It comes as no shock to me that Timbaland revelaed that Nicole is defecting from PCD. I was told this very fact last summer at Justin's intimate club tour before "FutureSex/LoveSounds" dropped, when PCD were touring with the Black Eyed Peas. Thats the entire purpose of the Search For the Next Doll show on the CW, to replace Nicole. I mean, I know everyone was assumed it, since Nicole sings 95% of the vocals off the PCD album, but yeah, this rumor is in fact very true. Nicole is done with the Dolls, after this last tour with Christina Aguilera and Danity Kane wraps up...

Is it just me or does Justin look like he has a gnarly hangover in that pic?? Been hanging out with Brit again J-dawg??
